well i took a look at the scematic sorry not a pvper
only killed one person one time on a server on mestake we thought pvp was off we were being attacked and well accidently killed him and his stuff disapeared -.- was ing weird!
that been said impressive map
most id say from what i saw is change the cannon to automatically dispense tnt (Not sure how that would do it but if that possible that be epic and awesome)
other wise i dont think i have rights to say what to do cause dam nice map as is
Thanks, the TNT cannon design with the dispenser is kind of just a rapid fire tnt cannon, not much for aiming or anything, I might add one at some point just to prove it can work, maybe above the automatic arrow trap?
Glad you like it, I should at a N/A option to the PvP map question
added some new map ideas. I'm going to change the current PvP map into an attack/defend type map making the attacking team stronger and the defenders should hold off more. I will make a PvP map where lives matter and a capture the flag and capture the point style map.
Their chaos cannon blasted the chest and we aren't bothering to go near it.
Great job on the adventure map! When I reached the tower I have half a heart left. But, I can't find the beacon. Where is it? It is not on the tower when I arrived. I only found a platform made of netherrack. Wish you can fix that.
thanks for the feed back, might need to look at some protection then, like a blast wall, as far as the adventure map, I can update it. The netherrack is the beacon, this was before game beacons
I think so too, but its a fortress so it should probably be more fortified than decorated. But maybe there could be, like, a village type thing that your'e supposed to defend that could be decorative, because the fortress itself is way too easy to defend.
I really like that idea, I hope to weaken the Fortress' defenses for the PvP map, I like a defend an objective type map too!
Just played with my friends on this map. The offenders are OP. Their Chaos Cannon blasted the defenders cannons and messed up all the redstone. You'll need to protect the redstone curcuits. I'm on the defence team and we just got blasted out of there. They maybe got in a few traps but they mostly just dug right through the odsidian (don't ask me how they got their diamond eff5 picks.) Just protect the redstone and you'll be fine.
I hope to fix this is the update I'm doing, they will still be able to use cannons on the Fortress, but won't be able to mine in, there will be one path they can take only.
I've been doing mostly things that work with this project, I'm not the best at doing what looks nice, so any suggestions would be great. I kind of went with a nether theme when building it.
Happy to help! If you do find a way to make less insane, more functional unbreaking armor, let me know! I could really use it for my own projects.
Will do, I'm going to play with it tonight, but I'll add your suggestion as a quick fix, PvP maps are no fun when the leather armor runs out mid battle XD
I found a possible workaround, though it's a long shot (and I think would only work for Single Player.) If you use MCedit + Sethbling's enchant to set whatever properties you want on the player's armor to a block, then copy and paste data from that with NBTEdit onto the player's armor slots (slots 100-104). (It's easiest to just equip something, and then edit that info.)
I realize that probably made no sense, so here's a picture:
Obvious problems: the player cannot put the armor back on if it's removed, it would probably be impossible to implement for multiple players, if you want a hat, the block will likely be visible instead of the player's head.
On the other hand, if you just need them to be protected (high level feather fall for parkour, etc.) this will do as a kludge.
EDIT: If you don't care about aesthetics, you can also just enchant whatever you need on a mob head If you also don't mind crap visibility, a pumpkin. They can both be equipped and don't break.
I love this solution, I'll still play around with other solutions but I completely forgot that anything can be added as a wearable block and still use enchantments. +1 very nice idea
I have an idea... What if there was another fortress somewhere else in the world, with mob spawners and stuff and it could be like Herobrine's base? Not to ask too much of you, the map is really great already.
Also, THANK YOU FOR GETTING RID OF THE POTION SPAWNERS!!! I kept running out of milk.
I've been waiting for 1.5 to fix that, potion spawners got on my nerves too, and I actually plan to do this in my adventure map, if youc heck out the old version, you can see a really lame map with basically that storyline in it.
Previously (1.4 and earlier) you could set durability to negative numbers and have "magical unbreaking armor" this was a feature in my map and an adventure map I'm making. Since 1.5 you can no longer do this. For tools, the solution was to add a level 3000 unbreaking enchantment, but for armors, they still take durability hits when you take damage. Is there a way to make armor unbreaking too?

There is a stronghold under the beach near the lighthouse, maybe you could modify that to be like the fortress? Also, I think the trench outside the moat should have less potion spawners and maybe some battlements to fight off boats in multiplayer (just a suggestion)
shhh the stronghold is a secret there's a reason I choose that spot on the map
as for the other suggestions, check out my 1.5 update and see if it satisfies your requests
1.5 update will be out soon, and 1.4 will be added to the older versions list. I will release a new version on the PVP map by this weekend hopefully, and The Fortress updates will be out tomorrow!
i like the new site but i think i can still make mine prettier if i can get more pictures i'm also doing some stuff on the forums to get some publicity
very nice, if you want to figure out the best way for me to host a server, we can tag team some updates I'm hoping to do, I found a program called YAMS, but it seems a bit buggy, might need to go with a private network like hamachi

I only use TMI for 3 reasons
1 it's a powerful tool
2 it's always updated fast
3 it rarely has bugs and is always evolving (great testing of a mod is important)
keep up the good work, you've got a fan for life!

as of 1.5 negative values are nolonger allowed, it just resets when you load the world, thanks though.
I'm trying to fix a broken adventure map, the map only has the armor you get halfway through it, and ruins the story adding multiple copies
