Does the chunk reset thing still happen when using ender tanks and a chunk loader? A lot of the posts I've come across are all over a year old, but I don't want to risk something of mine going poof. But there is an oil geyser really far away. Far enough to merit using a chunk loader and a pair of ender tanks over Mystcraft books linking back and forth through the nether to get that oil.
Does the bug where the Ender Tank may reset a chunk when used with a chunk loader still exist? I want to use the Ender Tank and Ender-Thermic pump together, but I don't want the chunk to reset and eat my stuff.
After updating Thaumic Exploration and removing my essentia buffer before loading my world into 1.7.10, I've managed to get my world up and running in 1.7.10. Thanks a lot, guys!

I'm having an issue with Thaumcraft 4. Minecraft crashes when it ties to show something from Thaumcraft. I don't know what. I have the crash report, but I don't remember how to put it in spoiler text so that this post isn't insanely long. Can someone tell me how to put it in a spoiler box so that I can post the crash report without mucking up the thread with a terribly long post?
I'm having an issue of my own that I think NEI is causing. For some reason, I wasn't able to craft sticks. Basic sticks, from either of the two type of wood I had. I closed and restarted the game and the wood I could use to make sticks changed. I removed NEI, and I seem to have no problem using any type of wood to make basic tools again. Am I missing something or is this an issue I should bring to the attention NEI's creator?
Um, Wliu, that link doesn't link to anything... just saying. Seems to point to a nonexsistant page in Pahimar's blog.
Same here. Got a "page not found" error.
To clairify, when I said a few players wern't happy about the updates, I ment to Minecraft itself. I was watching a video from one of my Youtube subscriptions, and he blurted out that, since Minecraft had updated, it started to "suck." I went and launched Minecraft and downloaded the latest version, and it seemed to be the same. I looked at the updates and saw somehing about Minecraft Realms. Couldn't quite find out what that is.
I've been under a rock. Can someone explain to me why Pahimar is going to stop modding after EE3? It sounded like it had something to do with some mod policy in regards to Minecraft itself, in addition to having no free time (knew he would get burnt out on this). I tried looking back in this topic, but I can't find out what's going on.
In additon to this, I'm not sure (I've been playing Bravely Default) but the new updates apparently aren't sitting well with a few Minecraft players. I've really been under a rock....
What I've heard is that they changed it to where items and blocks don't have to use id numbers. They actually start with something like @ModName then block name. So maybe something like @EE3.MiniumStone would be the Minium Stone id. Not really sure on that. But it's supposed to reduce or completely remove mod crash from having the same id numbers. So that mods that wouldn't work together before now will have to problem without a lot of hassle of having to either change id numbers by hand or using something like idfix. It's also supposed to make updating mods take almost no time at all or close to it for new Minecraft updates.
Removing the dependency and identification of blocks and items with IDs? 1.7 is completely ID-less meaning no more ID conflicts, but of course you will need to keep track of your data some other way now.
Interesting. So, if I understand this right, the initial jump to 1.7 will be a nightmare. But after that updating should, in theory, be a breeze, in addition to not needing to worry about ID conflicts.
I've heard that 1.7.2 and up is/may be a royal pain to update to due to massive changes. I'm sticking to 1.6.4 until the majority of the mods I use have been updated to that, but I am curious, what the biggest hurdle is for updating to 1.7 and beyond?
Yep in fact i'm at the part where i have to use a blank rune but i have no idea how. My spell is on the Lectern but all the guide says is to throw the rune in but how do i even do that?
The default key to toss an item (not throw as in throwing a snowball with left click) is the "Q" key, I think.
Also, I ran into an issue of my spell crafting altar not working because the material the main part of the altar and the floor material were the same thing. Since I was trying to get to spell casting quickly, I was using wood with glass caps. Since the majority of my base is essentially a treehouse in the jungle, the floor was made out of wood. I replaced the wood with stone bricks and it worked. But do try to upgrade ASAP. Stone bricks and glass caps allows very little in terms of spell crafting.

I haven't either, I'm just asking before I try something potentially volatile.

All in all, family takes priority.

In additon to this, I'm not sure (I've been playing Bravely Default) but the new updates apparently aren't sitting well with a few Minecraft players. I've really been under a rock....

Interesting. So, if I understand this right, the initial jump to 1.7 will be a nightmare. But after that updating should, in theory, be a breeze, in addition to not needing to worry about ID conflicts.

The anticipation for the end of my shift is going to make the day go by reeeeeeeally slow.
