That would be a nice gift. I would suggest that the cape will be active for 2 days. On your birthday and the day after that. That way you can enjoy the cape if you don't have the chance to play MC on your birthday. Support.

I don't think anyone would play Minecraft all day long on their birthday.
Plus the cape is supposed to be permanent, like the Minecon red cape.
Maybe a splash text that say "Happy birthday to you!" when you log on your account.

There was a christmas cape in 2010 and this is the same idea you get it for 1 day. It doesnt really matter if you play minecraft on your birthday but its just a nice little touch for mojang to say happy birthday to you.
I think juke boxes and music discs could use alot of improving,
So I thought about a craftable playlist of minecraft music discs. You would put music discs in a crafting table from left to right in the order you want the songs on the discs to play. It might look like this:
You get it? It would start at song 1 (top left corner) and end at the last song you put in the crafting table. It is much like the new armor system except with music. So say my favourite songs where wait, far, and strad
I could craft a disc with those 3 songs on it so I would not have to change the song every 2 minutes to make it always play your favourite song. Also juke boxes could have a menu like the crafting table or the furnace where you could put in your disc and click start and stop. This would be a very nice idea too but it would make juke boxes way less annoying if they where activated by redstone.
Please tell me what you think.
But the thing is, birthday for your account can be changed. (But I assume Mojang can easily make it so that the first birth date you put in is permanent)
Also, I think it should only last for a week, and after that time the cape would disappear.

Why a cape? "There's a mod for that! -Steve the C" Yeah... Maybe a cake? Not like Minecraft's cake, a unique cake you can't get in the creative inventory. The name will be Birthday cake and instead of berries it would say Happy Birthday! on it.

Although I do like your idea of special CAKE though. But the thing is hackers would immediately start on making mods to get infinite of them. But maybe if there was a special birth day cake there could maybe be like a birthday cut scene though.
I think you should get a cape after 1 year from buying Minecraft.But oh well,I still support this since people would get free capes.
