    The download isn't working because I imagine the Yogscast brought a ton of traffic to micdoodle's site which made it go offline. It happens alot when a mod gets spotlighted by a popular group (or person)

    This is pretty damn fantastic, I always thought the Enchantment shine was a bit lame since it looked the same no matter but this really makes things more interesting again, nice work :)

    I would love to explore Mars myself - heh, there should be a penalty so if you open a Portal to the nether on Phobos/Deimos than it ends up spawning a demon invasion :D

    Sorry I meant in further releases lol :P I saw the video and it seems DaveChaos has a development version as he had a bunch of items in the creative menu that aren't in this release version (like some new buckets, a titanium oxygen helmet .etc)

    Just taking a brief look, it looks like only the moon is available for now. I imagine that number will increase as you explore further planets.

    I hope this gets more attention, if I had a PC good enough I'd actually make a video about it since I really think there's lots of potential here. I tried to post some ideas on your forum section but I couldn't do that, so I'll list a few minor ones here (This are pretty much just mod compatability ideas)

    -IC2 support for the Oxygen canisters - you can place a Cell in an extractor to get an Oxygen cell for the Scuba mask; letting us refill our canisters in a similar way or maybe a new tool that uses the cells out of the inventory instead would be cool

    -BC Fuel for Rocketfuel, as an alternative or something? It would be cool to build a launch pad and have to pipe fuel into larger rockets if they're planned.

    -General macerating/smashing support for the new ores, wherether it be IC2, Thermal Expansion or whatever. Pretty minor (and you may not like this idea for balance reasons, so it's merely an idea heh)

    -Ore config control, since there's a variety of mods that spawn the ores you've added. You may already be planning this though.

    -A cheap kinda future-y looking building material made with, I don't know, either an aluminum or titanium ingot surrounded by stone? Using iron blocks is way too expensive for Survival players so it'd be nice to be able to build a moonbase out of a cheaper alternative that looks pretty sci-fi.

    Really cool stuff! Gonna play around with it ingame - I saw that you've got copper ore in the mod though, and there's no way to disable it in the config files - is it Forge-ore dictionary compatible?

    Also another thing, I checked the biome on the moon and it said plains, which meant a bunch of dungeons and stuff from other mods spawned on there. Whilst pretty funny to see lots of flowers on the moon, is there a way to disable that? (Specifically stuff from Pam's mods, the Project Zulu dungeons, .etc) I'll take the mods out and just play around with this mod for a while, but just thought you should know.

    Also the galaxy map is AWESOME, I love how it even tells you who's on a planet. IMO this should definitly replace Myst-craft as the 'alternate dimensions' mod for tech based stuff. I'm not a big fan of it as I felt it was over-powered so this mod is pretty damn fantastic (And I should also mention making Oxygen generation dependant on trees is a brilliant idea because it means that building a hydroponics section is actually neccessary.

    Just a quick question/request about the Rakshasa - you said it's magical attack will bypass normal armour - how about say magical armour though? I think maybe adding some Thaumcraft support so that either Thaumium armour or the robes will offer normal protection against their attacks (or all magical attacks in general) would be neat. IIRC it's about Iron protection level so it won't be that great if you're unfortunate enough to get in melee range of an Umber hulk. I think having some defenses against the super-tough attacks of these mobs would be good, even if they were hard to get (I think this mod would be amazing in multiplayer, if you're playing in a group and can organise between yoursels to take out certain monsters) I love the mobs but the problem I have with say the Rakshasa or the Beholder is that they're really dangerous and you don't get much time to prepare (Definitly not saying nerf them of course though!)

    Heh, there's like 3 mods already with minotaurs so I think that would be a bit redundant (Project Zulu, Grimoire of Gaia which actually has lizardmen as well that an earlier poster was requesting, and Twilight forest) Gnomeworks may already be planning one though so of course don't take my word for it.

    It's great to see frequent updates for the mod...do you plan to add custom items at some point? I think having an Umber hulk trophy would be a nice thing to stick above my fireplace :D

    The beholder also underwent a few other modifications, reducing its rate of fire slightly (and also changing it based on game difficulty), as well as modifying their eye rays' chance to disenchant (again, based on game difficulty).

    heh, I was gonna about this last night but I forgot, nice to see I didn't have to since you had the same idea :D

    I'm wearing really high tier equipment (which DID have some good enchants on it lol) so the Beholder is a pretty scary foe for that reason, which is great. It was freaky as hell though since I'm using a modified texturepack which makes things darker (most notably caves are actually pitch black) and when I was digging into a chasm I just saw a Beholder float by really quickly. THAT was spooky.

    Yeah I need help with this too, I read all the topic and saw a hint about the Nether earlier but I've examined everything from there and couldn't find anything (apart from Berelium, which I know is only part of the tungsten plating recipe)

    Also are music discs the only source of PVC? I was tearing my hair out earlier looking around for another source.

    Is it possible for you to slow down the Beholder's attack? Every time I get hit I don't really get a chance to avoid it, I don't mind them stripping enchantments but they move so fast and because the projectile is black it's really hard to see and avoid which makes it feel a bit more unfair. Apart from that, I'm really enjoying fighting them since it's made the depths much more spookier :)

    heh, don't worry I wasn't serious about the Tarrasque. There's no real way something like that would fit in Minecraft or at least that would be within the scope of this mod. I think your plans to have Beholders are enough for me :)

    Just saw this, excellent work and It's cool you're still actively developing it. Having bigger and better boats will make journeys feel a lot cooler than sailing across the ocean on a tiny little wooden boat :)
