Hi, I recently started a single player (or multiplayer if you want) survival/ adventure map based on some previous ideas. Now right now it's only in it's basic stage, starting area, and the beginings of a "dungeon." rules change depending on what you do. If you complete certain "challenges" during certain objectives, you're allowed to give yourself X number of Diamonds.
Anyways, like i said I just started this and i also wanted to ask if I could use computer craft instead of signs in order to portray story and rules in the game.
*Also I'm running this in Technic 6.1.1 since it was the only version that would work for me :/ I don't know if this will affect people using a later version but you can switch it easy enough.
Ok well i've been playing minecraft on my HP Pavillion for awhile and i haven't been able to switch view modes because F5 won't work, it opens up the internet automatically. Now my veiw ended up getting changed to third person because i was using Mo' Creatures and i got grabbed by a croc, and now i can't switch back since F5 won't work :/ is there any way i can rebind the key since it isn't in the controls list?
I'm trying to install a bunch of mods right now but i end up getting ID conflicts that i dont know how to fix, mods that just wont work even without conflicts (like the items they're supposed to add aren't in the game like they should be.) I've been searching for hours for help but all the vids or post i find don't explain everything >.< so here's the details
-I'm using MultiMC since i find it less confusing than putting them in the old fashion way.
- The mods i'm using are Buildcraft, IC2, Thaumcraft, Forestry, Equiv Exchange, Railcraft, Extra Biomes XL, Death Chest, Laser Mod, Red Power, Wireless Redstone Chicken Bones edition, IC2 Advanced machines, IC2 compressed solar panels, logistics pipes, and Additional Buildcraft objects.
-EE, Death chest, and wireless redstone just dont work at all :/ don't know if i'm installing them wrong.
-Thaumcraft has ID conflicts with IC2 and Railcraft has conflicts with Extra Biomes (just please explain how to resolve ID conflicts because all the "tutorial Vids" are crap and explain nothing.
- how do i get forge ore dictionary to recognize the ore's in IC2 and Redpower as the same so i dont end up with multiple kinds of tin and stuff?
- I also have the 4096 ID fix, Audio Mod, code chicken core, minecraft forge, modloader, and NEI installed in the JAR, they work but the rest dont...
Please some help would be very appreciated as trying to figure this out is driving me insane >.<
ok, to get to the point i decided to take a Dell E510 and upgrade it to be able to play minecraft, i know i need to replace the CPU, hard drive, Graphics card, and RAM (and maybe the cooling system too) and i wanted to know if anyone can tell me A. what parts are good to get and are compatable with the mobo, and B. where is the damn graphics card cuz i cant find it for the life of me.
Note: this is the first time i'm trying to build/modify a PC and i dont know if i should just say screw it and start from scratch rather than building off the dell i have.
I think your desire for smarter AI is a valid one, but let me say this. Unless you have been religiously playing the new patch preview the moment it came out, you probably haven't really experience just how much the AI has already been improved/enhanced.
Now if you had a specific suggestion like (and I'm not advocating for this, don't get angry) "Pigmen will stop attacking you after being provoked if you throw down your weapon like a sword or bow". Otherwise, I think your post may come across as ungrateful to Mojang's star AI employee who has already taken the AI system leaps and bounds above where it once was.
I'm not trying to be ungratefull or whiny (allthough i can see how it could be read that way) i'm just saying that the improved AI and mob interactions are a good thing and i want to see more of them :smile.gif: like a thumbs up for mojang for putting that stuff in, instead of leaving the mobs braindead.
I'm currently saving up for a decent computer so i can 1. play minecraft and 2. attempt to mod it. So i'm deciding to base all the mods i try and make around magic: Magic ores, magic tools, magic mobs, spells, alternate dimensions and lore, ect. and i mostly want to do this as both something fun and challenging to do, and because theres surprisingly not a lot of magic oriented mods, and piecing them together is a pain in the ass. So i'd like to ask if (once i get the computer) anyone would like to show me the ropes and work we me on it, and if anyone likes some of the ideas for it.
1. Randomly generated cottages, lairs and wizard towers with magic users you can interact with
2. multiple forms and teirs of spells like runes, scrolls, staves, potions, and charms
3. Magical realms and creatures to draw energy from
4. Machines using magical energies to use for farming (think magical industrial craft)
those are just a couple, i dont want to post many more until i can actually get started on it.
When i heard about skelies and zombies hiding in dark areas/ testificates hiding in houses/ zombies breaking into houses, my head nearly exploded from excitement, and after modding support this is the biggest thing i want. Vanilla minecraft is pretty balenced with its items, blocks, and number of mobs, and while any new ones are great and i wont complain about them, i really want smarter AI, just please, more polish on the current mobs basically. possibly more attenton to endermen or blazes, maybe actually incorperating giants in the game some how, and bieng able to talk to the testificates of course.
are you sure it wasnt some sort of block glitching out? for instance did you have tnt near bedrock level? or maybe it was something spawning and going in a fritz?
