I'm having trouble creating my own server. I followed every instruction from video and it had me stuck at 9:27 where he says to type in (java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui) again. After I did that, I tried logging in with my IP Adress, and it gives me the error: "Failed to Connect to server, "Connection refused"
Any ideas on how I might be able to fix this?

Dec 12, 2011Okay, so I fixed my Minecraft after a bit of help. but now the words are all scrambled up, on top of each other or just in places they shouldn't be.Posted in: Legacy Support
P.S this is my last post for the day, so if you could be as detailed as possible, that'd be cool.

Get your brother to type in his username and password. Click on options. Click on Force Update. Close that menu. Login and start Minecraft. Let it update. Close Minecraft. Now you can play as normal using 'play offline'. Ignore the hate from people who say you need to buy the game - they haven't paid attention to this new Mojang account system.
I decided to do it the hard way.
How to I reinstall the game?

So ya didn't pay and then expect help?
Look in your trashcan.
No, my brother paid. I just made an account because he wouldn't give me his password.
Emptied it.Quote from iMineDeep
:sleep.gif: delete ur whole .minecraft folder.
Won't I lose my game? :sad.gif:
Dec 12, 2011Okay, so I mistakenly deleted the file minecraft.jarPosted in: Legacy Support
I searched how to fix it and people say it fixes itself.. But it's not. When I log in (Since I am a non member) "Play offline" is replaced with "Not downloaded"

try hitting the o key o your keyboard or if that doesnt work look in the modloader.txt file in your .minecraft folder
hope this helps
I installed in manually. No use of modloader at all.
Dec 12, 2011So I downloaded the Too many items mod for 1.0.0 and installed it correctly. Got some help from a video tutorial on how to download it on a Mac.Posted in: Legacy Support
But my problem is that when I open my inventory, it doesn't have the sidebar like in the videos. Is there a certain thing I have to do in-game to make it work?
Thanks in advance.
Dec 8, 2011So a while back I checked out this game and my brother ended up purchasing it for this computer, he doesn't let me on his account so I was forced to make my own.Posted in: Legacy Support
I discovered skin creations, (Making your own character.) and tried it out. After creating my skin I tried to make it my characters skin but it asks me to purchase a copy of the game when I already have the purchased version.
Could anybody help me out? Is there some way of linking my account to the purchase of the game?
