Guys, just an idea.
If you want a good community, let people make suggestions without attacking them like rabid fanboys.
You may not like the idea, but it's just an idea. People should be free to discuss things they like and dislike.
Thats all I've got to say on this topic, personally I like the snow.
No, people are angry because they like this game and can't stand watching it go to hell in a handbasket because Notch is neglecting it in favor of jelly donuts and vacations.
Yeah.. Mojang is complete **** atm. No bugfixes, only new shinies, new shinies add MORE BUGS.. and still no fixes. Sighhhh.
We'll never get a quality gaming experience out of these guys...
My thoughts exactly, this "company" is a trainwreck. This game has SO MUCH potential, it's hard to watch notch flush it down the shitter. Maybe after his next vacation he'll get around to finally fixing the chunk errors, sigh.
Its their company, and they have the rights to stop production completely.
Be glad you get what you have, and not nothing at all.
Stop saying this, it's gotta be the dumbest argument on these boards and it's repeated ad infinitum. General Motors may have the right to stop production completely too, but why would they arbitrarily shut down? They wouldn't, it's a stupid notion, as stupid as the idea that Notch would decide to throw his entire business down the shitter just for the hell of it, and we should be thankful that he doesn't.
And this isn't even addressing the assertion that he has the right to do such a thing anyway. IANAL, and I would guess neither are you, I really don't know if he would have any liability if he were to simply abandon minecraft after raking in millions with false promises and deceit. Class action lawsuits are born and won on much less than that all the time. But to my original point, why the hell would he do that anyway? He'd be finished in the industry, Mojang would be history, and he'd probably lose most of his windfall.
Next time you have a complaint about any product why don't you just tell yourself that they could just shut down any day on a whim, and you should be happy you have anything at all?
Minecraft shouldn't be winning any awards and Mojang shouldn't be in any "developer showdowns".
Minecraft is in it's BETA, and Mojang hasn't released a single finished product yet.
Exactly, I thought the same thing when he went on his last vacation to accept some awards. Who the hell hands out awards for buggy, half finished games that are teetering on the edge of abandonment? WTF!?
Lol, my god I don't know what else to do but to laugh. I just don't get it. Seriously, drop the "he's not legally required" crap, YOU have no idea of what he's legally required to do, and it's irrelevant anyway. There are reasons to do things other than you're legally required to. Like, say, building a successful business takes more than doing only what is legally required. And after all of that, he may indeed be legally required. I don't know, but neither do you so stop proclaiming it. Class action lawsuits have been filed and won over less.
Nov 23rd: Notch loses key to office, no one can go to work
Dec 15th: Notch states that two of his workers are sick, so he might go home too
Jan 27th-Feb 14th: Vacation for mom's birthday.
Feb 15-18: Didn't work due to next vacation being so soon

Agreed, this community is an embarrassment.

What kind of logic is that? Bugs don't exist unless they affect you?
This affects stairs also, usually when used as roofs .
