Hey Everyone ( Derek Smith, Texture Artist Union, Community at Large)
History here. I found myself thinking about Last Days tonight and I just wanted to say how proud I am of everyone who continued this pack after I left so suddenly. It is truly humbling to see what everyone in the community has done to continue and expand on things so many years later. I spent a little time on the lore thread earlier and is simply surreal to see what people have done to expand upon the foundation I set with orbital industries, the huggatrons and the likes. I hope everyone is still enjoying this pack, and I just wanted to say that I am truly grateful for the experience I had with the minecraft community while working on Last Days. Truly this will have always been a very special and rewarding experience for me. I left the community in the midst of an exceptionally challenging break-up and I am not happy with the way I handled that. but I am ecstatic with the work everyone did picking up the pieces and continuing to build and rebuild and expand and rebuild over all this time. Any how, it is late and feeling emotional and a bit buzzed, haha... but keep on keepin on everyone!!!

Hey Everyone ( Derek Smith, Texture Artist Union, Community at Large)
Dec 29, 2011Allow me to formally apologize for my absence on the thread recently. I realize that this comes at a very bad time but I recently split up with the girl whom I was living with which leaves me currently without my computer. I should be getting it within the next few days giving me some time to get back on the pack. In the mean time I will follow the thread whenever I have access to a computer. Thank you for your patience everyone. Sorry againPosted in: Resource Packs
Dec 13, 2011well folks, I apologize if I appear to be off to an inactive start. It has been during a challenging couple of days that I have had taken the pack back on. I cannot honestly say the next few will be phenomenally better, however within a week it should be easier. I have be allocating whatever time I can to the pack however. Things will get done, and Halph's updates are always an option as well, but I assure everyone it is on my mind and I do not intend to just forget about this pack.Posted in: Resource Packs

Can I do the lore? PLEASE!!!??
I am actively working on the lore at the moment. I have also been working on getting the official update up to speed. Halph's updates are also available and I am working to keep his sounds up to date on the OP. I will also be incorporating much of his work into the official pack, as I have with Croco's and much of Halph's already. Tonight I will be posting a bit more about the official update.
Dec 10, 2011New (Old) thread is up with a 1.0.0 update. I cannot guarantee its perfection but I will be re-updating soon.Posted in: Resource Packs
Halph, I will get back to you tomorrow, I promise, I work a lot on the weekends and need sleep right away.
Dec 9, 2011Just so every one knows, I intend to get the new thread going this evening. I will post whatever I have as for 1.0.0. It will be late, as I am on my way out to work. But I will link from here. It will include work from halph, croco, and myself. It will also have halph's newest sound pack. to anyone waiting on message response from me. That will be coming tonight as well.Posted in: Resource Packs
Dec 7, 2011Well, I am happy everyone is exited for the future of the pack, I am in the process of merging works from Halph's unofficial update, croco's WIP update, and my own additions and tweaks. Croco already answered this question, but yes, HalphPrice will be in charge of the Customizer. Also here is another small bit of what I have been working on. The portal blocks are Croco's handy work. I made the tiles to replace stone brick.Posted in: Resource Packs
Many years before converting the Hive Islands into a series of branching fallout shelters, Orbital Industries build remote labs in order to test principals of teleportation and any other questionable studies they desired to keep quiet. While able to meet there goal, the technology was all but abandoned due to its undesirable results.

Well History welcome back to the last days!
Thank you. It is good to be back. I want to state of the bat, that LAST DAYS will be 1.0.0 ready very soon. In addition to that, I have begun a process of revision and consolidation of old textures. As a preview to that here is a screen shot of the newest version of The Huggatron with a bit of iron ore in the background.
EDIT: Also, you may begin to prepare yourself for LORE! It may come in peices, but It will begin to be fleshed out very soon. There may be a few other surprising coming as well. But for the timing being, they will remain surprises

Hello everyone! I am history. I am sure a few of you have been playing LAST DAYS long enough to remember but for those of you who have not, I was the person to first start the pack up after it was left behind by Doku. I worked on LAST DAYS for a good number of months(creating much of the terrain, all of the old mobs, gui, etc) but had to give the pack up do to my business with Zombiecraft and life on the whole. When I left I asked Croco to take over the pack in order to keep it alive. He, along with Halphprice, has done wonderful work in doing so and I am very grateful for the both of them.
Recently I contacted Croco and after a brief back and forth he offered me the pack back. Soon, this thread will be coming back into my possession. HalphPrice and Croco will still both be indispensable contributors to the pack, and Halph will be running the Minecraft Customizor Page.
Finally, I want to give a HUGE thanks to both Croco and Halph for keeping this pack going and for their wonderful work.
I will be posting a preview of update 1.0.0 very soon. This includes work from me,croco, and halphprice's unofficial update.
Jun 2, 2011sorry cooldown and derek. I am thinking I am really going to have to pass a lot of control over to Croco on this. I apologize to every one. I wanted to make it work but I simply don't have the time to work on this the way I used to.Posted in: Resource Packs

So far all who applied I am willing to work with. Plus a four man team seems well rounded(This is including history), Just enough to cover all ares, but so many it's a hassle to look through textures. Imagine, a 40 person team?! Anyway, just saying if you pick all who applied so far, I, LIKE IT.
So let's review,
Banners:DerekSmith, cooldownpills, dangirdas
Other:dereksmith, cooldownpills, dangirdas
Seems balanced to me!
Sorry for the delay. I have spoken with Croco of the overgrown texture pack and he is on board. I have a new sound person interested in taking over sound. Derek, Cooldown, and dan. I will think about exactly how to get things rolling with you three(I know there is a role to be filled) and contact you all individually tomorrow night.

Well most of the items were invisible from plasticraft, a few things that share some values with base objects appeared, such as plexiglass and plexiglass doors, but for the most part things were invisible. I am pretty sure i did the patching right, I mean i have used more advanced texture packs before. If i am correct this runs at 32x32 right, if that is the case i should be fine because my computer has handled 128x128
I have no idea why plasticraft wouldn't work. I have never installed the mod so I wouldn't really know. Unless plasticraft adds blocks or items to the existing terrain.png or items.png I can't see any reason for things to be invisible tho.

Any intents to make a GLSL Shaders compatible version? I just upgraded my computer, and want to put it through its paces, but anything above 64x is fugly, and Misa's no longer supports it.
I think it would look really awesome with Last Days.
If some one wants to volunteer, then yes heh. I have tried to do it once before and its not really my strong suit.

I only get a normal sappling there is no image for pine or birch sappling.
I will release an update this week to fix invisible items.

Hi! just wanted to say that i love and so far it's looking really good. it's a pity that it isn't finished yet because i've have to fill in the missing textures with some from other packs and give them a post apocalyptic tune-up. also, out of boredom, i have made my own apocalyptic cloth Armour, although 32x is not my strongest subject, just for you (well, actually it's just for me but it makes me seem like a nice guy if i say it's for you). i hope you like it.
here are a few pics of what it looks like in action
(Not the best pics in the world i admit.)
keep up the good work
I really like this. If you don't mind I might mess around with it a little bit and incorporate it into the pack in place of the current leather armor. I will credit you of course.
and to every one who has contacted me about the team
I have seen your messages and I am not ignoring them. I will begin responding to them during this week and start to try to get somethings figured out.
