Akaro began to follow after his allies, keeping his guard raised. There was a huge possibility of an ambush while they were moving like this, and they were already at the disadvantage. Akaro kept himself alert as adrenaline started to kick in. For most species adrenaline didn't start until the action did, but for Praeth, just the thought of battle could trigger a rush.

The feeling in his stomach tightened up as Akaro grew even more uneasy than their situation. It was incredibly unsafe to be moving like this, but even if it was their only route, Akaro didn't like it. "We're at a terrain disadvantage here. Everyone keep your eyes open. Fikkti, I want you to keep my back covered." Akaro said, in a similar commanding tone. He wasn't a leader, but he sure acted like it.

"Couldn't have been more accurate!" Akaro said with a laugh when the Swarmborn told of who they were. Destruction was pretty fun, so was fighting though. He didn't mind the forgetting of his name, it was only natural of humans. Akaro drew his rifle and kept his senses alert ready for the journey to the mining operation.

"Y'know, it's not good to fight while tired, but then again, I think everyone's a little tired." Akaro said, scanning his surroundings. He didn't like being in a foreign place, especially when the locals had the advantage. They knew the terrain and the area, surely they also knew of the best hiding spot. Akaro got a sick feeling in his gut, but decided to ignore it for the time being.

Akaro woke up to the sound of feet scrambling outside of his room, his surroundings blurred from the sleep in his eyes. "Are we landing?" He asked himself as he felt the ship rumble lightly. "Yep, we're landing somewhere..." Akaro rubbed his eyes and stood up, balancing himself. "No time to wash up, sadly."

Akaro was used to being dirty, but he hated the feeling of it. Back on Ressi IV, most warriors would wash themselves before a battle. Akaro fit himself with the armor he was used to wearing every day and grabbed his weapons, fitting them to his sides. As a final preparation, Akaro fit his MAG system and exited the room((I'm assuming since he owns his weapons, he can keep them in his locker, same with his armor.))

As he walked down the halls of the Horizon, Akaro greeted those who were also preparing with friendly statements. Slowly making his way to the airlocks and landing bays, Akaro could tell he was late and picked up his pace. He eventually caught up with Andrew and Jin, who were stepping outside of the ship onto the foreign planet.

Activating his MAG System, he stepped out just after them. "Hello gentlemen!" Akaro greeted them in a friendly tone, happy to be out on the surface for once. "So, we're just here to defend some mining operation? That's all I got in the briefing.." He added with a smile, taking a deep breath of the fresh-ish air.

    Race Name: Praeth

Appearance: The Praeth stand at about 7 feet tall, and have a bony exterior to protect themselves. Their mouths house many sharp teeth, and on their hands they have sharp claws that many keep cut short and dull. Their body structure resembles that of Turians of Mass Effect. They often wear a hard, but light armor to protect themselves, but still keeping them lightweight.
    Image:
Homeworld: The Praeth originate from the world of Ressi IV, a planet in the habitable zone of it's star. Slightly larger than Earth, Ressi IV has grassy valleys and rocky plateaus, but mountains are rare. The rocky soil on the plateaus make farming difficult, but not impossible. Ressi IV has three main, large continents with small island surrounding them and ice caps at both poles. The atmosphere is very similar to Earth, but the protective layer of ozone is in much better shape. There are very large portions of land that have been ravaged by war.
Culture: Praeth stand by honour and courage, but still enjoy the knowledge gained by research. While armies were fighting battles, private research companies were developing new tech to fight these wars. Praeth are known for their skill on the battlefield and adaptability with weapons, but have no Psionic Capabilities. Androids are also rare, due to the complex body structure of the Praeth although some might have neural implants to help in combat. Praeth mostly stick with their clans, but it sometimes there are lone Praeth traveling the stars.
Technological Development: Praeth use the same FTL methods and weaponry as humans. But, their tech has a geometric design and is built around efficiency, rather than cost. Making any Praeth tech expensive, but often worth it.
    Psionic Capabilities: None
Influence: Praeth are not at war, but there have been many civil wars in the past.

    Character Name: Akaro Rense
    Race: Praeth

    Gender: Male

    Age: 29

Appearance: Akaro's by looks like any other Praeth's although his face is his unique feature. His eyes are a bright orange, and his has multiple small scars covering the rest of his face. On the right side of his face, he has a fairly large burn mark, but by now, it's mostly faded away. Of the three hornlike structures on his head, one of them is broken and the other two are covered in cuts and chips.

Specialization: Akaro is a master of combat and weaponry. He considers himself a Combat Technician

Psionic Capabilities: Akaro, like all Praeth, has no Psionics.

Biography:(I will PM you the first bit)
After a very traumatic part of his life, Akaro found himself leaving Ressi IV, and carrying his clan sigil with him at all times. He began to wander as a mercenary for hire and saved up most of the credits he made. Life had gotten relatively normal for Akaro, and he was happy how it had turned out. Still haunted by the events of his past, he was slowly moving on and continued to learn about the various types of weaponry.
When he eventually found himself with Stormheart, he didn't intent to stay for very long. Like most contracts, this was just business. A way to make money. He didn't care for those around him, or what happened. As long as he got paid, nothing else mattered. Over time, he found himself beginning to care about those he had fought alongside and started to have second thoughts about leaving.
Akaro decided that he'd stay for a bit longer, but still intended to leave. But he found himself not wanting to go. He enjoyed the company of these people, and loved being around people he came to trust. Life hadn't been like this since... That day, years ago. Akaro decided on staying for good, and has since been with Stormheart.

Service Time: Akaro has been with Stormheart for a total of 2 years. He's still relatively new, but he knows his way around.

Equipment: Akaro carries a FW-10 Automatic Laser Rifle, and a PB-40 Conventional SMG. Both have his clan name and sigil carved into them. Though he owns both of these, he's often lent them to those he truly trusts. Akaro also carries a standard Praeth Combat Knife for close encounters. For non-combat, Akaro always has his clan sigil, and a few thousand credits with him.

((I'm guessing I've been accepted then, incoming introduction post! Thanks for letting me join!))

Erik found himself holding back coughs from the dust and the spores in the air. "Damn, I should have died back there." He though to himself as he checked his body for injuries, and his weapon for damage. Erik was a pretty smart guy, when he'd heard of the outbreak, he knew to grab his most trusted firearm. Now, it's been the thing that's kept him alive for 9 years. "Oh right! The radio!" Erik said to himself with a tone of urgency as he unhooked to radio from his belt.

Holding it up to his mouth, Erik spoke into the radio, quietly in hopes to not alert any infected. "My name is Erik Strand, and I've heard your broadcast. I'm low on food and I'm lightly injured. I'd be glad to meet up with you, the more survivors the better, y'know? But first, I need a way to know that you aren't going to kill me." He said into the static, his Swedish accent becoming obvious. Erik was normally and optimist, but in times like these, optimism was rare. Hope for saving came in even rarer waves. There was no one left in the world. Just husks of what was once human.

Erik found an old bench to sit down on against the building, which creaked when he lowered himself onto it. It was nice to have a moment to rest, Erik didn't get many. He never let his guard down though, these streets and alleys gave him a feeling of unease and two seconds with your guard down could lead to the end of your life. The world became a cold and deadly place, more-so than it was 9 years ago. "What went wrong? What did humanity do to deserve this?" Erik asked himself, knowing he had no answer.

    Name: Erik "The Hunter" Strand

    Age: 27

Personality: Erik is the protector. Kind-hearted and strong, he goes out of his way to keep people safe, no matter who they are or what their past was. Whether someone needs help or not, Erik will make sure they can get to safety, risking his like in the process. But, Erik is also a hunter. Those who do wrong or get on Erik's bad side become nothing more than prey.

    Ethnicity: Swedish

    Gender: Male

    Body Type: Muscular, Atheletic

    Appearance:

    Clothing:

    Face:

Erik is about 5'8 and muscular, which can be intimidating at first, but he's mostly harmless unless someone is in danger. His face usually has dirt on it and most of the time, he's pretty rough looking. Who wouldn't be in today's world?

Weapon of Choice: CZ-801 or an SR-25

    Specialty: Combat

    Basic Traits: Intelligent, Hunter,

Living Relations: Erik hopes his family in Sweden is still alive, but knows deep down that they're most likely dead.

    Blood Type: O Negative

Backstory: As a child, Erik's dad was a soldier in the Swedish Armed Forces, who raised Erik with the same training he got in the Armed Forces. While his life was generally normal, Erik's family traveled between Sweden and America quite often during his childhood and Erik was able to learn English as a second language fairly early in his life. In his trips to America, his dad would take him hunting and Erik learned how to track prey and take them down efficiently, minimizing their suffering. Life was great, while still pretty hectic.

When Erik was 16, his dad passed away due to health complications, and Erik never really got over it. His dad was his hero, the man who taught Erik everything. He was the reason Erik was who he was. And now, he was gone, forever. Erik began hunting alone, learned about guns and tactics. His dad would have been proud. Erik became the man his dad would have wanted and he was generally happy again. He enjoyed collecting guns and learning how to handle them efficiently, just like his dad. Eventually, Erik chose the CZ-805 as his favourite weapon along with the SR-25 to a lesser extent.

When Erik was 18, he was living in America when disaster struck. There was some infection spreading and everything was crazy and confusing. He wasn't able to get a flight to Sweden to be with this family, and has since been stuck in America during these years of the world slowly dying. As Erik traveled with the things he could carry, he came across a few things he kept with him, in his backpack. A radio, but has only picked up static on it. He also carries food and water, a flashlight, ammunition, and spare batteries, along with random junk he deems as useful.

As he traveled, Erik would enjoy hunting infected or those he deemed as evil for fun. It was to keep himself sane. Some people looked at him as a savior. Erik simply became "The Hunter". He knew how to track someone and move quietly. His dad taught him, and when he lost him Erik perfected his skills. Perfected may be an exaggeration, as Erik still makes mistakes. It just means he's human, whatever that means now. Erik kept moving west, keeping the occasional survivor group safe, but never staying for long.

Eventually, Erik found himself in LA, where things got tough. Shelter was hard to find, and food was generally scarce. Making it last would be difficult, but Erik believed he could make it out and find more supplies. These things that he'd been fighting for the past 9 years release spores, Erik and he knew it was to spread the infection. One day, a building collapsed and Erik was trapped inside for hours before finding his way out, the entire time he was in there spores were floating around the room. Erik waited for death, accepting his fate. But, death never came. Erik guessed that he was immune, and he was right. Trying the radio one more time, the static broke. He had heard a message about someone with supplies and ammunition, willing to help. Knowing the message wouldn't get out under this rubble, Erik found his way out, and began the speak into the radio.

Notes: What do we do in terms of inventories and items? Also, sorry about any mistake I may have made, haven't RPed in a while and am a bit rusty.

Nokra knew that Arion could handle himself. He knew that he would come up with some sort of plan to get himself out of this situation. It was why he was on the team. Arion, as well as the others, had excellent critical thinking skills, as well as a good sense of tactics. "Arion will be fine, I'm not risking more of out lives than I have to." Nokra said in his thick accents as he ducked into a closet, pulling Kat with him. People were at risk here, but not all of them, and that's what Nokra cared about. Finishing a mission with as little people endagered as possible.

Nokra grinned under his mask as he quickly moved behind Kat. He turned to Arion and gave a gesture as to say 'We'll be back for you'. He didn't feel right leaving him behind, but he knew that they would all be killed if they stayed. Arion could play dead for a while, but all of them couldnt stay playing dead without being found out. It was simply too obvious. Nokra knew Arion could handle himself, but the thought of leaving a squad mate bothered him. Nokra continued on behind Kat, with his weapon ready. Nokra was ready to lay down his life for any one of his squad-mates.
