    thanks! Last time I checked, on mobs that burn in sunlight it checked to see if they could see the sky at the time. That's the extent of my knowlege.

    This should (in theory) be a relatively simple mod. All I'm asking is to change the lighting code or add to it such that (most) aggressive mobs burn in light level 11 or higher.

    The current system calls to see if the mob can see the sun, then checks if it is day and proceeds to catch any of those mobs on fire.

    Having skeletons and zombies burn at light level 11 or higher would make it such that any mob close enough to a torch, open flame, or a patch of sunlight will catch on fire. Even mobs that walk through portals will catch on fire as they stand in them.

    This would add an interesting aesthetic twist to the game, with torches actually profiding use far beyond visibility.

    I requested this mod once a year ago, and again some time before that. With an increased number of modders and greater knowlege of coding, this should be very possible nowadays.

    I myself have been slowly trying to learn coding, but I'm starting at C++ and will only move to new horizons once I've got a practical knowlege.

    Anyway, I hope this interested some people! It certainly has been on my mind for quite some time.

    A nice idea, but what would be the point of the "redstone ingots" if they only serve to be made into redstone blocks?
    maybe cut out the middle man and simply have a redstone block be made out of 9 pieces of redstone?

    No. you don't lose any weapons or items. In fact, you receive a one-time use of every item in the game to be used in tf2 beta only. Hence it being the beta testing program for new features.

    I'm actually not completely sure you're right about this. technically, if mojang had the paypal account name (or something like that, I don't use a paypal) in their file somewhere, then he could get it back. I'm pretty certain it's possible, I just don't know how one would go about doing this

    Although this was not actually me, my friend bought Minecraft and was playing for several months, when suddenly he could not log in any more. He looked at his skin to find that it had been changed, and so both of us contacted Mojang, notch, help, and others. I finally got a response, which asked for the transaction ID. Problem was, he deleted the email, and now he has no proof that the account is his.
    So my question is:

    Is there any way to get your TRANSACTION ID when you lose the email?

    Like, say, by accessing your paypal account? the only other solutions I can think of would be to withdraw the payment, then buy a new account, but that would lose both his account name and the fact that he bought the game while it was still in alpha.

    this would be really appreciated as he is currently using my account, which makes things difficult in certain situations. Also because his acount was stolen and you should be concerned about that.

    there's the next best thing: the minecraft chunk deleter/pine tree generator.
    just find that on the minecraft wiki, download it, and delete the chunks you've modified. they will re-generate, very similarly to the way they were when you started a level.

    I brought the neutral creepers into my house... which is floating on the water, and is enclosed.
    now I keep hearing random splashing noises, and doors randomly open and close, which creeps (haha, irony) me out. A LOT. it's especially unnerving at night.

    rather than red and blue 3d glasses, which are hard to come by, I would prefer red and green, which happen to be the kind I have at hand currently.

    this seems easy enough: locate the 3d code, change a color.
