    org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated

    at org.lwjgl.opengl.WindowsPeerInfo.nChoosePixelFormat(Native Method)

    Your graphics chip does not support OpenGL on Windows 10. It might work if you downgraded to Windows 7, although the CPU is also below the minimum requirements, so even if it worked, it would probably be unplayably slow.

    Really, the computer is just too old.

    Can anyone please help me get this mod running? It seems really fun and I was very much hoping to play it.

    The only thing I've heard of called "Regrowth" is a large mod pack, which contains about 70 mods. Is that what you mean?

    Or if this is some other mod, please link to where you got it from.

    I crash and I don't know why?

    I can't tell which mod is causing it, but my first guess is Enchanting Plus, followed by iChunUtil and Sim-U-Kraft.

    So maybe remove those one at a time, and see if that fixes the error.

    Failing that, you might need to just remove like half the mods, until it works, to narrow it down.

    Ur supposed to make u own mods folder right? Is that where I'm going wrong?

    I think that when you install Forge, it creates .minecraft/mods. So, do you have that folder? And does it contain the "modname.jar" files for the mods you want?

    OK so firstly it is a single player world not online and I run windows 10 on amd graphics I think that is what it is called and I'm not sure about the cpu

    Unfortunately, your laptop is below the minimum requirement for Minecraft, so I am not surprised it is laggy; it has an AMD "Accelerated Processing Unit", which combines the CPU and graphics on a single chip.

    You could try updating the drivers from AMD; their 'auto detect' on this link should work;

    posted a message on Adding custom background music in 1.12.1

    Thanks for the licensing information. Unfortunately, the link you provided does not include a tutorial on custom music in resource packs for the current version. (it doesn't mention music at all) I'm going to look into the folder structure of resources in 1.12.1 and see what I can do from there.

    I'm sorry - I realised that when I posted it, because I did read through the link - but I assumed you'd know which folder the sounds live in; which is under the .minecraft/assets/sounds, for example "minecraft/sounds/ambient/cave/cave1.ogg".

    The 'ambient' ones, or maybe "music", are presumably the ones you want to replace with your music. You can get a list of them in this page of the wiki, by expanding the section on 'java edition'.

    There is a file called ".minecraft/assets/indexes/1.12.json" which lists all of the sounds used and their location - if you are just replacing them rather than introducing new sounds, you only need to use the specific file, so you won't need to edit the .json at all, but it may be useful to at least know what it is about, and how it may change in different versions.

    Here is a video with more details about adding sounds in modpacks - the first part is about custom sounds (played using commands), but later it talks about replacing existing ones.

    P.S. There is no difference at all (for sound files) between 1.12, 1.12.1, and 1.12.2.

    Yes it is.

    Your personal opinion about what Mojang considers to be a minimum requirement is irrelevant; the fact remains.

    Anyone have a solution??

    When you install just Forge, with no mods, it says "3 mods active" - they are part of Forge itself, "Minecraft Coder Pack", "Forge Mod Loader", and "Minecraft Forge".

    So it is not loading any mods at all.

    That probably means that they are in the wrong directory (folder). They should normally be put in .minecraft/mods but that can be changed in the launcher configuration settings.

    You can get the game to display the logs in the launcher too, as shown below;

    Quote from grimallq»

    No it isn't. If you know how to "read" those requirements and why Mojang inflated them. Not that the crash has anything with that.

    Yes it is.

    I know how to read, with or without scare-quotes.

    OPs DxDiag states, "Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4500U CPU @ 1.80GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz"

    The linked page states, "Minimum Requirements: CPU: Intel Core i3-3210 3.2 GHz / AMD A8-7600 APU 3.1 GHz or equivalent"

    It may be unrelated to the crash, and you might believe that the requirements are inflated, but claiming that my statement is incorrect is rude.

    Quote from Kat_chan»

    I'd like to start a Minecraft server but my dad and I share a computer. I'm pretty sure it will stop running the server when I log out of the computer so my dad can log in. Is there anyway to get around this? I run on Windows 10.

    You could make it run as a 'service', which are programs that run all the time.

    posted a message on Adding custom background music in 1.12.1

    I am a very passionate musician, and I would like to be able to play my own music in minecraft via resource pack.
    I already know how to do this in versions 1.7.10 - 1.10.2, with Json files. The Problem is, when I move UP a version (like 1.11 - 1.12.2), These custom background tracks do not play anymore, and will always fall back to the regular minecraft music.
    In saying that, I DO NOT intend to replace any original minecraft music. I only want to add my own. I have made sure that all of my files have been named in lowercase letters, and that my Json file has no syntax errors. The only thing that I can think of is that the actual structure of resource packs has changed again since 1.11, and that the structure I am using no longer exists.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated. I do intend on distributing my music pack, provided that nobody will steal the music. (because all the music is my work, and would like proper recognition for creating it.)
    Thank you for reading this.

    Resource packs are version specific, and you'll likely need to remake it for 1.12, and almost certainly for 1.13 (because that promises a lot of technical changes).

    Unfortunately for you, that is the way things are, and will probably apply to future versions as well.

    There's help about how to make resource packs here.

    I would encourage you to consider the "Creative Commons" licencing, which allows you to publish your music while retaining the rights - in particular, "CC By SA" means a licence where people can copy your music, for any purpose, as long as they say where it came from and include the same conditions on future copies.

    okay so the other day my computer went whack and would not start up, it said "no bootable devices found." I then took it to my Campus IT guy and hey wiped it and reinstalled windows 10. when I bought the computer it was 64-bit windows. Maybe when it was reinstalled, it was only 32-bit? I will attempt to upgrade to 64 bit although I'm not sure how. Here come google.

    Thank you for the information!

    Yeah, your posted DxDiag shows;

    Operating System: Windows 10 Home 32-bit [...]

    System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
    System Model: Inspiron 15-3567

    You really really want a 64 bit operating system. I do not know why the techie installed 32 bit windows, but you'll want to replace it before you do much else.
