Mmm, it is working fine. Open the jar, install it then click close. After that open minecraft, login => Singleplayer/ Multiplayer. To open menu press 'm' and for screenshot 'f4'
Yes, this works if you have Minecraft installed to it's default location. But if you play tekkit, FTB, etc, it doesn't install to that. All you have to do though is go ahead and DL minecraft and run it in its default location then run FriendsForMinecraft, go into the mod folder of your default minecraft and copy minecraftfriendz.jar and paste it into the mod folder of whatever minecraft installation you want. Make sure to have Forge installed first! (only works with 1.4.5 atm)

I just wanna know what the button in the corner does! Oh! And can't wait to see how it looks CTM'd. Always hated fields of wheat being perfectly aligned.

This is exactly what the profile system in the Minecraft Launcher allows you to do. Check out this tutorial:

They changed the code in Minecraft so charcoal and coal could have separate textures.

Star Wars Episode 1 took more work to develop than this pack and that movie blew bantha poodoo.
I do have a low end PC and do NOT use Optifine. Using Forge alone I get between 700-900 fps. (of course there is no point in having that high of a framerate and risk burning up your vid card, so I use vsync) With Optifine I'm lucky to get 60 fps sometimes. For some people it works, for others it makes things worse.
I think you haven't noticed but resource packs aren't about improving performance. It's about making the game look better. An area where Optifine falls behind MCPatcher. If you want performance, try Optifine. If you want to take advantage of the creativity put into resource packs, use MCPatcher.
Now I realize I'm trying to talk to a child and how pointless that is.
Now, Ray. What other items are you going to give the same treatment as you did potions?

Would you prefer "OptimissingthegoodfeaturesMCPatcherhas" instead? I prefer Opticrap, personally.
The potions look sick! Keep it up!

MCPatcher and Optifine are NOT required. MCPatcher however, is recommended due to special features that vanilla minecraft simply can not do.
