There seems to be an incompatibility issue for EnchantView and the latest version of Optifine. EV runs fine with all the other mods I have installed, but it doesn't work when I have Optifine installed. I've tried both the Ultimate and Standard versions of Optifine too. I use Magic Launcher and it doesn't matter in which order on list of mods I put Optifine, it seems to cancel out EV.
I didn't have this issue prior to the latest update. Those of you who are having trouble running EV and also have Optifine installed, I suggest trying it without Optifine and see if it works then until this compatibility issue is resolved.
The man on the moon would get ticked off and demand that you build him a new satellite home made of cheese. And honestly, I'd want to move in with him, because Earth would be screwed. :tongue.gif:
Doesn't take much to climb into a tree with a bed and be safe forever in MC these days. I miss not knowing that. :tongue.gif: I can literally be safe forever in the time it takes to chop down two trees and kill three sheep. Just need a workbench for ladders and a bed. Get one coal or charcoal so you can have at least one torch, find a big tree, ladder up, put the bed down, sleep in safety forever.
School functions are forced social constructs that very few people actually enjoy, though many people attend due to peer pressure. The only time I was ever bothered to attend them was when I absolutely had to, usually under some directive by an authority of the school.
(I.E. I ended up as Prom King my senior year by default, as the only other guy in my class was voted Homecoming King prior. Thus teachers and administrators demanded I be present for at least the "ceremonies". Small schools suck in this sort of regard.)
You don't need a school dance to get a date with someone. Or to be social with kids in the school. And it's been my experience that most kids couldn't care less about the traditions and ceremonies held by the dances and such anyway. Their parents tend to be the ones that perpetuate the events' continued existence. As though they're trying to hold on to their own past, their own youth. Which is kinda ironic considering that they too probably couldn't have cared less back when they were in school about the traditions and ceremonies and only used the dances as an excuse to goof off. :tongue.gif:
It's like the old saying goes, "It's not the destination that matters. It's the journey to get there." :smile.gif: Similarly, I prefer the process over the end result, especially in Minecraft.
Case in point: I've recently had access to Single Player Commands, and on a few severs I've been lucky enough to be a Mod, so I've essentially had the same abilities online to spawn in any items I wish. I don't have to gather anything, or even craft anything. I've built projects with that stuff. And while the end result came about much quicker, it all felt... empty. I didn't have to "earn" my resources or anything.
To me, that was more of a waste of time than going out and getting everything first. It's also why I never play Creative, even though I'lll play on Peaceful at times. In Creative, everything is given to you. In regular Minecraft, you have to go get stuff, enemy mobs or not. For me, it adds more value to know how to plan out where resources are, to plan projects based on resources easily available, etc. Even the projects I plan out tend to change based on these various factors.
So, yes. I definitely enjoy the process more. It may take longer, but it's well worth it. Rather than have a home I built in 5 minutes that has no story behind it, I have one that took 20 minutes and includes an epic fight with a creeper, a lucky find of 5 pumpkins while out getting the sandstone, and a cactus perimeter that would've never occurred to me to have if not getting the sand out in the desert. :wink.gif:
I'd never use it, if only because by the time it'd come around for human use, I'd be dead anyway. I'm already 30. It's highly unlikely that transporters for human use would be around in the next 40 - 50 years. :tongue.gif:
You should consider it to be a gift, not a curse. Imagine how well you can help to manage the spam and troll threads if you stop them dead in their tracks with your amazing ability! :smile.gif:
Famous people have little impact on my life. The people who inspire me the most are the people around me in real life. You don't know them, so I won't bother mentioning them. :tongue.gif: But many if not all my close friends inspire me on nearly a daily basis.
I wish all jobs would institute a three month vacation, tbh. You kids should enjoy it while it lasts. You're not gonna get it after you're done with school. Well, unless you're rich or something.
I'm fine with summer breaks, but that's because I also grew up in a rural area where, despite the claims made in this thread, it still is very much viable to be working on farms/ranches in the summer. :tongue.gif:
Idealism because the world is a very different place to a blind or deaf person compared to someone without such disabilities. So our reality is most definitely changed and shaped by our perceptions, our own consciousness. Objective reality is a silly notion, at least to me. Reality changes on a daily basis. Live in a nice industrialized nation, with power, food, etc? Go live in a third world country for a day. Can you see? Put on a blindfold for a day. Or explain to someone who's been blind all their life what colors are.
And empericism is essentially for the same reasons as idealism. We're frail human beings. I doubt any of us views reality in the same way. I doubt any of us views the world in the same way. Even having to post a poll like this shows that.
I'd build a full scale Akira class Starfleet vessel for my home. It wouldn't actually be able to work, unfortunately, though I guess with an infinite amount of money I could put an infinite amount of research into warp drive and other technologies, but whatever. :tongue.gif: I think a true to life mock-up of a Starfleet vessel would be freaking cool to live in. Get a few hundred friends to live there too as the crew. RP all the time.
Next time tickle her feet. Kinda difficult for most people to fake being unconscious at that point. I imagine even people sleeping for real would be awoken with laughter. :tongue.gif:
Can't really say I've ever cared about the size of my supposed e-peen. :tongue.gif:
That, and I tend not to ever pay attention to such trivial matters as reputation. I don't make posts that would get me banned, so as long as I'm in good standing with the forum in that respect, I really couldn't care less how otherwise popular I may or may not be.
