posted a message on What does it mean when someone asks "are you an alt?"

Just some background info: I know what an alt is, an alternate Minecraft account. The server I have been hearing this the most on is Mineplex (mostly while playing Champions.) I am a level 14 on Mineplex, if that helps.

Now to the question: What exactly does this mean? Again, I know what an alt IS, but why are people asking me this? Is it like a form of hackusating? I promise I'm not a hacker.. lol. Sometimes I am asked this question by a higher level person after I killed them, or after being hackusated.

posted a message on I really need help with this constant crashing...

So lately I've been having COUNTLESS problems with Minecraft (with Optifine) just crashing for no reason. At first I thought it was a memory error, because of the error messages, but then after I allocated over 1000M to Minecraft I realized it wasn't that... at least I think it's not that. But Java doesn't seem to let me allocate more than like 1100M anyways. (I have 32 bit, tried downloading 64 bit and deleting the old Java but it doesn't work for some reason.) If anyone can help with fixing this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the error message: it's just basically that crap over and over again...

    [15:25:01] [Client thread/ERROR]: @ Post render
    [15:25:01] [Client thread/ERROR]: 1285: Out of memory
    [15:25:01] [Client thread/ERROR]: ########## GL ERROR ##########

Possibly one of the cleanest desktops here? :P I have one folder with no name or icon that contains all the links to the programs I use.

I agree with Spark, you could build a better PC for the same price if you bought the parts individually yourself. For example, I threw together a quick build based on the PC you linked to, but this includes a GTX 750 ti, more RAM, and an SSD, all for $5 more.

All prices are from Newegg and include the cheapest shipping option.

    CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99)
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H DDR3 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($96.10)
    Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($42.99)
    Storage: Crucial MX200 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($90.98)

    Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($74.99 )
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Video Card ($113.98)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99)
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply ($43.98)

    Total: $705.00

Please do a better job and actually look into buying parts if you decide to buy them yourself though. I also recommend you post what you're looking at in a place where other people can review your parts and help before you buy it; for example these forums, /r/PCMasterRaceBuilds on reddit, or linustechtips.com. My list is just a quick and dirty example of what you can find for the same price.

Building seems fun, and I would like to try it someday. But right now I'm just not advanced enough for a full computer build. Since I got the PC on sale, I do plan to upgrade the graphics card/power supply.

That is such an overpriced PC. It's only got integrated graphics, and rubbish ones at that. You'll rarely push 30.

Really? My current PC has an Intel Pentium w/ integrated graphics and it gets like, 35-85 fps. With Optifine and medium settings. Plus, I bought it for 580$ on Black Friday. The new one.

posted a message on How Many FPS With This PC?

So I'm thinking of getting a new computer for Christmas, http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-envy-desktop-intel-core-i5-12gb-memory-2tb-hard-drive-brushed-metal/4370501.p?id=1219738783775&skuId=4370501 . I know it should be fairly decent for Minecraft, i5 and all, but about how many FPS will I expect to be getting? Can't find any YT vids on this specific computer. In the future I will probably upgrade to a GTX 750.

posted a message on Why Hate against Intel graphics cards?

It is a little hard to believe that you get 60 fps with shaders and those specs... but hey, you have proof. Are you using Optifine?

I think the people that hate on Intel graphics cards have like.. super OP computers. Not everyone can afford an excellent graphics card...

Also, I have a question. Which is better, Intel HD Graphics 3000 or Intel HD Graphics 530? A little random, but I would like to know xD
