    posted a message on Capitalism
I haven't been to this section of this forum in on long friggin time.

Honestly, every system has its quarks. Capitalism makes people to comfortable, which leads to ignorance, which leads to... you all obviously get the point. It does, however, generate competition, which historically means more advances in technology. Capitalism, to put it bluntly, is a constant war for the better product, which I believe is a good thing is most cases. Better medicine, science, and technology.

Conflict breeds creativity. Either to help your allies or crush your enemies.

Communism creates a stagant pool of unimprovement. Technology only progresses due to competition outside of your borders. Plus the lack of freedom (restricting religion and asserting control over certain aspects of life) as demonstrated by most of history's communist states that come to mind. It also breeds corruption and foolish self-aggrandizing attitudes at the highest echelons of power (i.e. Stalin, Kim Il Sung, and Kim Jong Il) and isolationism (China), but Capitalism has done the same in the past. Really, all that was stated above.

Communism is great for control, which is good and bad.

Capitalism is great for freedom's sake, which is good and bad.

It really is a shame. In the end, it's the people's fault for helping whichever system become the economic structure of their fledgling nations. People's choice, which makes companies rich in capitalism and the nation effective in communism.

Personally, I think either could work, if they conduct themselves correctly.

I hate to hit-and-run, but I thought I'd toss my two cents out there. Buy something nice with 'em.

    posted a message on SMP's Revival - [October 20th, 2014] - 1.8 (sans CTM)
This thread past page 5 on the main texture pack sub-forum?! Blasphemy!

Here's a bump. I don't know why this topic doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves. Oh well. Guess it's just the changing preferences
    of players.

    Still an amazing pack SMP.

posted a message on Here's my problem with "Gay Hate"
    Why?

Why all of the hate towards gay people? It's not a choice. Plain and simple. But why all the hate?

    I can tell you why.
Some people are just too blinded by hate to realize its not a choice.
Some people are too blinded by disgust.
    Some people don't realize.
Some people just don't care that its a choice.
    Some people are scared.

The bible plainly says that we humans must find tolerance towards our fellow man. It also says that god is all powerful and controls everything in existence. That must mean he created homosexuality right? But why do people have to hate on other peoples' sexual orientation? If god created everything it must mean he created homosexuality. Why do some of us, especially some Christians, hate it so much? Because they don't understand or are to hateful to care and it says not to in the bible. You can't turn gay or decide to be gay because it's just how the person is. The bible says that it is a choice by stating humans should not lay with the fellow gender or animals. If anyone tries to test their gender preference and either can't find their fellow man or woman to be attractive, they're not gay. If it's the opposite of that, or they can't tell, they may be homosexual.

But I understand one other thing. Some people just don't want to believe that another human finds their fellow sex to be attractive. They like to believe that it is impossible. humans have the tendency to believe what they think is fact. Homosexuality is NOT a choice no matter how you put it. To be truly gay is not enjoy the opposite gender in a sexual way. It can't be a choice. Your sexual orientation is built into you at birth.

    It's basically a huge contradiction.

Edit: I will not be able to answer any questions that derive from the main post. I didn't mean for this tread to get so popular and so complex. I'm happy to see positive opinions and the "fight" against members who believe in other side of the argument. If any of you want to continue this, like how Trexmaster offered, I'm in no position to stop any of you. I'll keep an eye on this just to see what has become of it.

Okay. Just to be fair too, I've been absent but I've kept an eye on this topic.

Now, I am what you despise or call a problem: I'm against gays in certain situations; not all of them though. I'm against gay parades, against those moments when they cannot restrain and start acting wild in public (just like teenagers, thus get a room) and gay marriages (not civil unions, don't mistake them).
I'm not afraid of gays or feeling "uncomfortable" around them, I'm not religious and I'm not crazy just because I have different opinions than you or any other people.
Other than that, I could expand this discussion with you if you want.

According to these scientific facts, in which you too pointed out, it's not a choice. I agree to a certain limit. Why? It can also be taught into subconcious at an early age.

Well, I'm not saying that homosexuals should just wander around and parade themselves about like an oppressed culture. They should carry themselves with dignity and continue on like all other sexualities do. You don't see a "Straight Parade" go marching around or a straight guy announce that he is Straight in the middle of the DMV. Like I said before, no matter what sexuality you are, behave like the average human being, get a ****ing room, and don't make out in front of a crowd of people for no reason. It's impolite and downright disgusting for everyone no matter what the sexuality.

No rage or offense is meant by the language. People pay attention when a cus is thrown into a piece of writing.

You can expand it if you want. It's really not up to me what other people do on the internet.

How about you guys calm down and think about this.

Marriage is not a matter of Church. It is simply an agreement between two people to live and share each other's lives.

While I agree with most of what you said, I have a tiny nitpick. Something that's been nagging me for quite some time about the whole gay-rights issue.

That's not accurate at all. Assuming that brains are occasionally "hard-wired" to prefer same-gender relationships, saying it's not a choice is like saying all instinctively driven desires are not choices. For example, when it's really, really hot here, it's my instinct to take off my clothes and go about my business completely naked. But I have a choice about whether or not to disrobe, or suffer the discomfort of remaining dressed.

And whether or not to indulge your gay instincts/desires is a very similar choice. And you indulging that doesn't harm anyone any more than me going out in the buff does. But, both actions bother people. And those people know it's a choice. And so they despise you for making that choice.

And I believe people should just get over themselves and be okay with both things.

Okay, okay. We'll work on attitudes towards gays first, and public nudity later.

I was kind of speaking in a sense of "Let people follow their own path of happiness." Walking around naked isn't the same as wanting to marry a person of the same sex.

I don't mean to sound "as a matter of fact"-ly

    What's better?
    A. A homosexual person lives alone and doesn't carry out their search for love in the same sex and instead marries the opposite sex to cover up the fact.
    B. A person searches for and finds the special someone of the same sex and embraces who they are.

I'm about 75% sure you meant it in a public standing though. I do agree a gay person should not be walking about in public while making out with their lover. It's gross even with straight couples. Golden Rule: Both sexual orientations, hetero or homo(not meaning to offend), should not be showing public displays of affection above a hug. It's impolite. A conversation is perfectly fine. Converse and let them know your true colors.

It's not a choice to be gay though. It's a fact that being gay means being attracted to the same gender. I can't choose to dump my girlfriend and stare at men all day. The reason the average person doesn't take their clothes off to avoid heat because it's impolite to show off their junk. A homosexual person can't help but find the same sex attractive. A straight person can't help but find the opposite sex attractive.

Plus: The Gay-Rights controversy is really just haters versus rights. In the end, everyone who is homosexual in America has the same rights as everyone else. Why does it matter if a person is gay or not? Still a citizen most of the time and the definition of marriage is so warped by belief and opinion that most people think it is only for straight people.

Marriage isn't an agreement for a man and a woman. It's for two people who agree to live with each other and share each others' lives.

Even if it was only man/woman, what's the difference? It's still just two people. Same impact as a standard marriage.

    Pigmen
    My Little Idea

So, I'm sure that you've all heard the name a lot in the past year with NPC villages and such, but I have a suggestion for them.

Firstly, I was personally disappointed when the 1.9 pre-release came out and didn't really know where Minecraft was going. I had hoped for pigmens' implantation into Minecraft's world. Then... 1.0.0 came out...

    I was despondent.

So I've been thinking of reasons to implement them.

The Reason You Clicked on This Post

    Pigmen:
One day, while you were exploring a plains biome, you notice a strange sight in the horizon. Buildings resembling huts dot your field of vision and you notice moving dots among the huts... and they're pink. You get closer and you note that the dots are upright pigs wearing tribal garbs and carrying wood swords. You trade with them (assuming that NPC trade is implemented by then) and learn through dialogue that they hate the testificates.

    You fill in the rest...
