I have thought about this a lot since playing Minecraft. It is not right that a boat breaks so fast and easy, but when I got to thinking about it. The boat is made soulfully out of wood, so they creators probably thought about making it like a raft type thing. Wooden rafts do fall apart easily since they are a lot of time held together by twine. Twine is not the strongest of ropes, but it use to be use a lot to hold rafts together back in the day. Thinking like this lead me to think that our boats in Minecraft are created around the possibility that they are supposed held by twine. (Sorry, over active imagination on this one.) Not, I think if we could add some iron to the build we could make a stronger structurer of a boat that is harder to break and should use durability like tools and armor. I do not know if it should be a block or iron or a bar, but to me, I think adding iron to it should make it stronger. I also do not know if you should add the iron in with the current recipe, which if Mojang does that, I think it should use bars, or if you should create a boat first, put it back in the crafting table with an iron block next to it and pull it out to make it, if Mojang did this.
I have thought before in the past about asking for someone to create a mod around this to make a basic Minecraft boat stronger, but I thought no one would do it, so I think Mojang should.

Got it figured out. It wasn’t because of the coding. It was because I copied and paste and didn’t change the item.type_of_armor= code to diamond for Jelly and iron for Miisoiso. 🤦🏽♀️ This can be locked and buried now.

Alright, the UTF-8 did not work for my Windows PC but I will try Western Style since Atom has that as an option.

Alright, I will try that but it works on the others just fine that I used with Atom. Will adjust it in a little bit.

So, some good news, I got the Limbo's Eye working, and the item versions of Jelly's armour working, and the item version of Miisoiso Straw hat working, but I can't get the actual armour models to work. Please help.

Btw, I am using Atom to help with the properties text files because just using the normal text file and changing it to ANSI encoding was not working.

I am bumping but this time I am coming with a MediaFire link to the resource pack. I can get everyone but what is in JellyCat and TheBadGuys folders to work. Any help would be awesome. Here is the link:

So I have gotten everything else to work, but I can get tridents to look like the texture when holding it or an Ender Pearl, Ender Eye, Chorus Fruit, or Snowball to look like a different texture when renamed using the same trick. I have Googled until I am blue in the face and could really use some help.

I also want to know this.

Thanks but I got it figured out now. Had to download Atom and had it save in the .properties text file which got it working. I don’t want to learn the basics as this is something I need to get done quickly since this whole Minecraft SMP lore base server was put together last minute and a lot of us would love to have our own personalize gear and I’m the only one stubborn enough not to quit trying.
On another note, can a mod/admin lock this now as I got the problem figured out.

Sadly after following all the information you have provided me I am still unable to. ;-; Question, do I have to save the properties for the image swap as codes as ANSI encoding or not. Nothing talks about it and since I'm on windows Mac instructions do not help. The Optifine instructions also do not note that as it only talks about doing it as .properties and not changes the encoding of the file.
The code I have for the image

Thank you so much. Right now I only have an axe skin change and a thing for the ender pearl. I will give this a video a view as I have tried everything possible. One thing I learned reading that none of the videos showed me when I was trying to get the resource pack to show is you need to save that coding as ANSI so that one I got figured out after an hour of trial and error.

I have been trying for three days now to get a resource pack to work that when you name the item, such as a netherite axe, you will change to a different texture which I know involves having Optifine in. The only thing I can get to work is the code to get the pack to appear. No matter what I try and do, even have gone as far as watching tutorials and reading them, I cannot get the textures to work for the life of me. This is something I'm trying to do special for an SMP server I am part of so everyone can see how their items look the way they are supposed to for lore and their armour the way they need it. I am willing to share it for those who are helping, but I only have two images right now and those are for people who design their own stuff. I still have to work on the others including mine. Any help will be much appreciated. (Literally got the idea from watching Empire SMP and then finding one of OMGChad's tutorials on it.) I've never been one for coding, just art.

Alright, so I have a Windows 7 laptop that I am playing Minecraft on. I love this laptop since it is my gaming laptop, but since I have started to use this laptop instead of my crappy Wal-Mart Windows 8.1 laptop I cannot get Forge to install onto this laptop. I click on it like how I would use to and nothing happens. I can get Optifine to install with no problem, but Forge will not install onto my Minecraft at all. Note, I have to use the out Launcher as well since she new one will not work for me. The new Launcher crashes every time I try to load the game, so that is why I use the old launcher.

Thank you so much.
