How do I prove it? Do you mean you want me to provide links / quotes from a parent that has prevented their child from accessing this forum due to profanity?
You've said you've gotten messages saying so. so yes, a screenshot would be nice.

The self censoring is just an attempt to get around the rule.
no it isn't, if it was then it wouldn't be allowed in newspapers and on TV either.

You continually claim that "so many" people weren't allowed to use this forum because profanity was allowed, yet I've never actually seen proof of it.

I care more about 100 people that want to use the forum but can't because of something we're doing wrong than 100 people that are willing to quit the forum in protest of a decision they don't agree with and can't explain why we should actively exclude people.

you can't even explain why you actively exclude us for censoring our own posts.

I find it amusing that the only post you didn't reply to was mine.

Because Off-topic isn't the primary focus of this forum. Why don't we allow slurs there as well? I'm sure no one minds casual use of that down there either.
How is that not obvious? slurs are meant to degrade and discriminate, the only time profanity does that is when the context indicates it.

I do not understand your argument. Maybe restating it in a clearer way will help?
He's saying profanity is not always rude as you say it is.

Or cease the opportunity, and buy yourself an ssd, use that as a boot drive and record to your hard drive. It would be the wisest thing to do.
sorry to go off topic on this but it's "seize" not "cease" ;)

"seize" means to capture "cease" means to stop.

Don't buy HP they have a tendency to overheat.

I'd suggest building your own, if you make a topic in the CST section with your budget, country, and what you plan on using it for, a few of them will be able to help you.

That says it isn't directed which in marketing terms means they aren't their target audience and does not purposely collect information from them (releasing them of liability of obtaining information on them). Then states, If you are under 13 not to post personally identifying information. The later part (If you are under 13 not to post personally identifying information) means they have a rule to abide by when posting here and being registered. Which ultimately means they are permitted here and as such they need to be considered when rules are created.
more like "if you're under 13, you're not supposed to be here, but we'll just turn the other way"

I can safely assume it was banned because this is an open forum to the public. Which means any age range or type of person can be here. With that being said rules have to be set that will be safe and appropriate for the general public and all age ranges. Do I personally care about cursing? No, but I also wouldn't want someone doing it around my nephews and nieces who play Minecraft and visit these forums.
but there's not even supposed to be anyone under 13 on here

so why should this forum cater to those that aren't even allowed on here by curse rules?

    Quote from Sillen

My theory is that he is a creative mind; he wanted the features of the game out quickly and did not care much for code organization and convention.
pretty much, I think I read it on his blog, but he started minecraft as a hobby, and never thought it'd get as big as it did. so he never bothered with optimizations as he should have.

but this is just a big citation war so who cares what i say?

You cannot "Imply" something that i never said, then use that against me :P That makes little sense. I never said that, so I don't mean that :)
    im·ply
    /imˈplī/
    Verb
Strongly suggest the truth or existence of (something not expressly stated): "the report implies that two million jobs might be lost".

and yes you did say that:

This is not true, for I never said "always."

Most of the time, if not all of the time, profanity is rude, so, it was banned.
The always was implied. Which you basically confirmed in your second sentence.
