So I was play TF2 after having some good fun, until I was auto-balanced and rage quit. So I go to play Minecraft and type in the seed(in 1.8):

And I spawned on this island:
The only tree I could find was on an island to the East of the spawn island. No mobs spawned in the first few days, forcing me to use the two string I got from a spider to actually fish. With this seed, I've done a few things I thought I wouldn't have done before. I hope those of you looking for some sort of seed like this enjoy it!
(There's also a somewhat-cool cave system under the island, but I haven't gone too far into it)
Typically I have about 8 chests for one world. I build/carve out a 3x5x4 room where I can have four big-chests on one wall and just do that on the other side. It's easy to find things and I never have/need enough stuff to need a bigger storage room. If I ever do, I just replicate the room somewhere else, normally right next to it.
I know it's not the most efficient way to store things, but I never lose anything and can pretty much store everything, so I think it's pretty nice.
So I have some sort of idea that has to do with teams.
Lets say that our good friend Steve joins a multiplayer server with his rival Jimmy. Steve joins red team and Jimmy joins blue. Both work to support their team by crafting things. When Steve makes a workbench, it has a red tint. When Jimmy gets around to making his, it has a blue tint. Anything anybody makes on either team will reflect their team colors.
So I propose that for building team buildings easily and crafting armor that makes your team more apparent, anything that you craft/place will have some sort of color to it.
I think this would be useful for all sorts of things, especially since roses are much easier to get than lapis lazuli, and there's no such thing as a redstone block or bluestone.
One thing that I haven't decided though is what happens when an item is stolen, say Jimmy steals some planks from the red team's house. Would they stay red, or would they change color to stick with Jimmy's ideals?
TL;DR - A person picks a team, whatever they craft/place reflects team colors, need opinion on what happens when something is stolen.
First I want to say... I love this texture pack so much, thanks for updating it.
I think the Engie pistons would look a bit better than the Spytech ones, because the button/light things would look weird on all sides. The sticky piston idea looks pretty good.
However, the note blocks are bugging me a bit with that stripe. The jukeboxes look nice with it, but the note blocks just seem awkward. Will this be revised?
I love this mod, but it does get a little annoying after a while.
If a multiplayer spiders vs humans mode were to be added, would it be that there would be one spider queen (or a small amount) that were played by people, and then once eggs were hatching, would more spider players be those spiders? That'd be pretty cool, because then the goal of the spiders could be to protect the queen and kill off the humans.
I'm pretty sure you're able to download the client regardless of if you have an account or not. You may want to check your Java version, or try playing in the browser.
Um, has anyone else noticed ice regeneration even when it's not snowing? I'm not sure if it was on the buglist or not, even if I've read through it several times...
When Bukkit is updating they get too many requests to finish it. And then once they get the notes out on the progress, it seems like they have to remake the entire game. Why is this?
another glitch I found and didnt see anyone report when I skimmed the forums (I may have missed it) was that when I try to spawn fish by throwing their eggs into the water a strange flat...what looks like a rectangular fish, sinks to the bottom.... doesnt move.... and its texture almost looks like the dolphins texture... kinda? (in that it goes from a dark color and fades into a lighter color, from one side to the other) you can hit it like a fish, and it drops items like a fish, but it does not move like one... or look like one...
That's probably just the egg. It takes a while to hatch.
Looks very, very useful. I'll try it out later, and edit this with my results.
*EDIT*
This is great! I'm just having issues with the textures at the moment. I did 'find' one bug, if you zoom out the texture box thing, it may disappear or even flip upside down. But when you zoom back in it fixes itself, so it's not much of a bother. And 'shortcuts' is misspelled on the help menu.
I guess I could be an artist, however, at the moment I have no examples of any work I have created. Once I get to a better computer, I can upload some.
Anyway, this sounds like an interesting idea, and I'd love to see it finished!
I was messing around with the noteblocks today for the first time(to be serious), and I was wondering, will the Aether add any new sounds/instruments? If so, I'd like to recommend a horn sound to be added for some of the various blocks of the Aether.
I could see this as a mod, but probably not in the actual game. I mean, I LOVE the idea. I'd love to walk outside in my rain forest home and walk around in the constant rain. And snow regeneration would be good too.
On the topic of the meteor thing, maybe sometimes it should not make contact with the ground. Maybe it could simply fade away.... Or not even be in the atmosphere and just flies off into space and crashes into the moon.
Maybe that could be a "disaster", where a meteor crashes into the moon and water acts funny for the rest of the time in that game. Like the oceans rise and fall awkwardly and randomly.
