This mod has turned out so well, I already like it more than Thaumcraft 2!
On another note, is the Taint ever going to be put back in? The way land became corrupted and twisted was really cool, so much so that it spawned a couple of ideas. Feel free to ignore these, but if I don't post them, there would be no chance of them even inspiring something better.
I highly doubt that taint will return. It's possible there might be a variant of flux that acts similarly to taint but flux is supposed to be volatile and unpredictable, so the idea of slow corruption of the world from flux would mean a steady process, which I doubt would happen. It's also possible there will be an evil/corrupt node that corrupts the land in its area of influence.
Also portals. What happened to the gateways you could make in TC1 or with TC2 seals. Why not have something like that come back?
The mod is only 25% complete. Who's to say that Azanor doesn't have something like that already in the works? I know that he plans to bring back the flying carpet, so there is a good chance something like that will reappear.
Azanor stated in the other thread that 25% planned content is done in this release, so you may want to take that into consideration
I think the monoliths will be back (I vaguely remember that Eldritch stuff is planned to be added later).
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
*drool*
I can't wait for whatever is going to be added!
That being said, I do feel like the mod currently lacks some late game features.
I'm in a plains/forest/ocean area and I found at least eight. The best advice I can give is to find yourself a cave system or ravene, but that applies to finding any ore or mineral. Piece of cake finding stuff in a ravene.
I'm having trouble researching the Tallow golem. I've researched all the golems and cores, except speedy, and I've also researched tallow. But no matter how much I research Corpus, It woun't start the theory for it.
-Scratch that-
I forgot about the clay golem. *facepalm*
gotta finish that research first.
The Tallow Golem is an entity, and thus not subject to block placing restrictions. As long as you can locate it's bounding box, you can assign a golem to the crucible.
That's one of the things I'm unsure about in the new golem system: the block. I feel like it's restrictive and cumbersome in a 3 dimensional space. Maybe if the block could be replaced with something similar to the old seals so it isn't impeding or destructive to aesthetics of 2 story and taller buildings.
Time travel to the future is safe as long as you don't travel back. By the laws of nature, it's possible to travel forward and impossible to travel backward. Time capsules are a prime example of this. All you have to do is fall into a coma, freeze your head, watch Direwolf videos or something along those lines. Or you could be productive in that time. But I wouldn't know about being productive.
