Why I should be picked: I'm ether adept at Tekkit, though I'm no master. I'm also funny and quirky, liking to use different ways to do stuff.

My device will instantly kill them when you step on the pressure plate. You can leave my machine on for as long as you like, and it will only kill them all when you deactivate it, so it's good if you have a mob spawner or a mob farm, because all the mobs will die at the same time, regardless their original health.

So I present to thee, the Fall Inducer Version 2!
Finally, you can save countless time calculating and digging your mob fall tunnel, as you can kill them all instantly!
Note you need to leave device on for a bit to allow them to "fall" long enough to be killed.
Being smaller and cheaper than Version 1, Version 2 is a MUST HAVE!
Tired of lava blades being unpredictable and killing off some of your mobs and loot?
USE THE FALL INDUCER!
Not enough glowstone dust to brew Level II potions? Or just plain lazy-hoarder?
USE THE FALL INDUCER!
Works on all mobs except chickens, blaze, ghast, spiders and cave spiders.

Aug 16, 2012This should go in the Redstone Creations section instead of the Redstone Discussions section.Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
Anyways, it's a rather cool contraption, however rather impractical in survival Minecraft. You could try to implement this into a redstone mini game or such, so that it's more useful, and maybe fun too!

The seed he uses is "4"
I plan on making a multiplayer vanilla LP like Hermitcraft, but I require someone to help pay and manage the technical stuff behind the server.
I find singleplayer LPs to be rather mundane and boring because there are no interactions and it's just building endlessly.

Jul 1, 2012You've seen sand duplicators, block damage value changers, and many other awesome contraptions that perform weird and mind-blowing, yet epic and useful. But how do these machines do their thing? What kind of black magic and wizardry is causing these glitches and bugs? Well let me tell you what it is. It's called the nano tick.Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
The nano-tick is a pulse that breaks the limits of redstone. A 1 tick redstone pulse is equal to 2 game ticks, to allow the game time to reset and update surrounding blocks and entities to the change. However, by using pistons, one can create a half tick pulse of redstone, one so fast it parallels the game tick, allowing complex and new contraptions to do weird and glitchy functions.
But how do you create such a pulse? What kind of sorcery is required for this feat? Well, I shall explain how below...
Note that 1.3 may break some of these stuff (maybe even all O.o).
Types of Nano Ticks
There are many devices out there that can create these ticks, and all of them has to have at least 1 piston/sticky piston on it as only these blocks are able to cut off and restore redstone pulses quickly enough to accomplish it.
The Sand Pulse
The most common nano tick pulse creator, as it is essential for the well known (and exploited) Sand Duplicating Machine. It basically creates two 1 game tick long nano tick pulses very quickly, allowing sand to be duplicated.
Images of a semi-auto Sand Pulse Creator. For an automatic Sand Pulse Creator, see Sand Duplicating Machine.----------
The Positive Nano Tick
By arranging the piston as so (pictures and videos coming soon), the piston will create an output pulse which is on for 3 game ticks, and off for 1 game tick. This pulse, being very short, doesn't give the game enough time to update the redstone wire color, making it seem bright red and powered all the time, although it is actually pulsing.
DOESN'T WORK IN MULTIPLAYER AND 1.3!

The Negative Nano Tick
By slightly modifying the Positive Nano Tick Creator, one can create an inverse of it, allowing it to be off for 3 game ticks, and on for 1 game tick. This makes it seem permanently off, although it is actually pulsing. Although it has the ability to parallel the game tick, it is one of the most useless nano tick pulses.
DOESN'T WORK IN MULTIPLAYER OR 1.3!

Machines and Contraptions
Sand Duplicating Machine
Contrary to popular belief, there is no black magic involved in this machine. In fact, the concept behind it is rather easy. When the machine is kick started with the single sand block, the machine pushes off 2 sand blocks off the duplicator stacks, and to the piston, which then starts duplicating (see The Sand Pulse)
When the 2 blocks of sand fall in front of the piston and get pushed off, a Sand Pulse is sent up the wire, to the sticky pistons, causing them to push up twice, turning 1 of the sand blocks into a falling sand entity. The pulse is then delayed by a redstone repeater (and also lengthened into a conventional 1 tick pulse) and triggers the pistons on the top.
This is where things get a bit complicated. When the 2nd extension of the sticky piston happens, the falling sand entity solidifies into a sand block, but before the game can update itself fully, the piston retracts and it creates an extra falling sand entity, and effectively duplicated itself.
DOESN'T WORK IN 1.3!
A great tutorial on how to construct a Sand Duplicating Machine by Xisumavoid
A contraption capable of destroying a pillar of sand, and always leaves 1 block left. Not very applicable in normal survival Minecraft, but may be useful in Adventure maps and redstone builds.Simply made up of a sticky piston tied to a Positive Nano Tick Creator, but could possibly be used to create 1-time-use sand doors.
MORE GLITCHY AND WEIRD IN MULTIPLAYER AND 1.3!

Thread still in construction. Stay tuned!

Besides that, its a nice build. Also, did you have it hooked to a proximity detector?
