The old version will continue to be a separate edition. That means you can still play it in any OS. The W10 edition is more likely a Pocket Edition port to W10, meaning you can play it in PCs, Xbox, Tablets, Phones and anything that has W10, and you can cross-play (I mean, play in your pc with somebody in the Xbox One, someone in a tablet or phone).

Other thing should be added is a fish particle effect. It would be cool for fish tanks and coral reefs

I think it should be possible too to use a custom image for those loading screen background.
Just imagine it.
Are you going to the Nether? Then an epic image of the Nether should be in that background!
Are you going to the End? Maybe a screenshot of you fighting the ender dragon!
Are you entering multiplayer? Why not a pic of you and your faction mates?
Are you returning to the overworld? A pic of your home, sweet home could be there!
It doesn't need to be limited to the default textures.
Maybe even a GIF or video should be implemented, so you can get a cool teleporting animated loading screen.

That depends of the type of flatland you are playing. If you are in one that includes structures (like Tuneler'sDream or Desert) you can find them in their looting chest. If it's the classic flatlands, maybe in a chest but its easier fet them fishing

Unless you have a pirate copy of minecraft, just start the launcher>New Profile>Allow use of Alpha/Beta>Select Verison> Play. That's it. If you have any issue with the new version or whatever they implement, just play in the version and stop complaining.
Minecraft, like many videogames, TV shows and anything, needs to jump the shark.
Jumping the shark is when something is getting old, they do something to refresh it and continue to be successful. A good shark jump can save from getting old and forgotten. That is what mojang is doing with minecraft and all the updates, so every 6-8 month, with new additions to the game, the players can do something new, refreshing their game experience and giving minecraft mor lifetime.
I'm not saying it's not Ok to dislike the new updates, but you cant simply write a post and say "no more updates". It is Mojang's game and they decide what to do with their game. Whenever you have your own game, you can decide what to do with it.

I agree with having astronomical events in minecraft (you shoud add moon eclipses too) but the idea of "everything becoming ultra hardcore that day" just sees like a copy from terraria. I support, but i think you should change the events of that day. I would suggest the villagers losing their heads because they think is the end of the world and give you everything they would normally trade for free. Maybe also adding something you could ONLY do that day, for example, melt something in the furnace and give you some special item that does something or crafting a special recipe. Or even better, enchanting something and giving you a special enchant only that day. The same could be applied to brewing.
I am also thinking that when you look at the sun during the eclipse, there's a small chance to get blinded (potion status) for, i dont know, some days and not being able to use milk to finish the potion effect.

I was LITERALLY a noob. I started a new world and it was super laggy (I didn't knew that you could change optimization). Anyway, i had like 1FPS and i saw a pack of wolves in front of me. Like i said, I was a noob and clicked the left button in my mouse, and I attacked one wolf (i didnt' knew yet how to play) so they striked back and I died.

This is a really good mod. But i would like to see a LiteLoader version. I like it more for client-side mods like this.

What I want is for example when entering a biome the music change to an especific one or when going to the Nether.
