Hmm. I've been playing Minecraft since early 2013, and I've played so much of it. I've definitely wasted days of my life on it too. I've played before 1.6, which in my opinion was the update that first signaled Minecraft's age. We've come a long way, haven't we? Remember when Jeb said he wouldn't add horses, and we got them in the end? Remember all the ridiculous things we as a community have requested, which haven't made it into the game until the latest of updates? The biomes, the new combat system, and even all the mobs and stuff we thought we'd never get! In my personal opinion, the golden age of Minecraft was 1.00-5.0. They were simpler times, dominated by our favorite Minecraft YouTubers. At the time Minecraft was the game! It took some adjusting to get used to 1.6, and 1.7, especially 1.8. Even when I adjusted, things didn't feel the same. When Minecraft was simple, it was all about mining, and building a house, and playing with friends to fight in the end. Not saying it still isn't that way, but with the introduction of a more annoying hunger system, advanced enemy API, and a laggier game (for some), the game's initial mood has since evolved. HOWEVER, I believe these feelings mainly apply to those like me who have been long time Minecraft players, or veterans. During late 2013, I went through a reality change. It involved my personal life, and the way I viewed the world. After that, playing Minecraft never felt the same. The spark that was once the "Minecraft golden age", has since perished for many. Though not many of us veterans enjoy the new Minecraft as much as the old one, we still do realize the Minecraft community is a special one. It's diverse. And it's full of great people who feel the same feelings you do as you enjoy your time. The best way to put it-though us veterans may forget Minecraft, we hope to see other new players will come to love and embrace it as we did when it was great to us. Though it's been a very long time since I can say I had a good and memorable Minecraft experience, I still do play it on my own. I believe what also kind of killed the community was the fall of great YouTubers that promoted the game, that were once seen as the community's heroes such as SkyDoesMinecraft (if he's even relevant anymore). What also punctured a wound in our hearts was the moment when Notch sold the game to Microsoft. Even though Microsoft promised not to do anything stupid to the franchise (correct me if I'm wrong), it was still demoralizing to see our great god Notch abandon the greatest dream game ever to be crafted by man. In addition to that, the lack of good mods and the retirement of mod developers of popular mods also hurt the singleplayer experience for me. Ah, I remember when I said I would never dare play Minecraft, at the time when it's community was overrun by children. Here I am now, funny isn't it? We veterans may fade, but the newcomers of the community shall care for it and bring it to new heights. Long live Minecraft!
This isn't Terraria. And I actually enjoy finding things like iron, redstone, music disks, and saddles in dungeons. I wouldn't mind if they added swords to be lootable, but I am not in favor of just swords as treasures. What do you think Pirates are looking for when they raid other pirates? Treasure! Also, Im not in favor of these weapons :|
I was just cruising around in the new snapshot, and I was like "holy ****, a stronghold!" I want to share it, cause you know, things like this are very rare. Look!
I have this idea for a mod, that adds some explosives and weapons. I know, there are lots of mods out there that already have this. But no, in this mod, there is no added TNT, or guns. But yes, explosives. Let the presentation begin.
Weapons
Satchel Charges- Place them by right clicking on the ground
Remote(Satchel Charge)- Left click to detonate all placed satchel charges
Grenade- Right click to throw, and in a few seconds, it explodes
Incendiary Grenade- Same thing, only it also leaves behind fire
Flash Grenade- Right click to throw it, effects anything in it range with a few seconds of blindness
Poison Gas Grenade- Right click to throw, and it leaves behind purple gas particles that poison anything in its range
Flamethrower- Right click to burn mobs
Molotov Cocktail- Right click to throw, burns anything in range
C4- Similar to the satchel charges, except you can right click it to set the timer for it to explode.
Motion Detecting Mine- Explodes when any mob comes within its range
Grenade Launcher- Pretty much a cannon that fires grenades, but with much more range. Keep in mind it uses grenades as ammo
RPG- Probably the most overpowered thing suggested here, but it has DEADLY range, accuracy, and destruction. You will have to recraft it afterwards to balance it out.
Misc.
C4 Defuser- Left click to safely defuse C4
RPG Head- The head of the RPG
RPG Body- The body of the RPG
RPG Base- The base of the RPG

What do you guys think? Should I make up the crafting recipes? Are there any wonderful coders who are willing to code this? Does this at all sound like a good mod? If not, what would it need?
Guys, he is really busy with school. He will eventually come back. Hopefully someone else will take control of the mod until he comes back. Btw, did you know Creeps and Weirdos is in development for 1.7.4?the creator of it came back!
About 5 creeps work in 1.6.4 but only locally.. crashes when i reob for release, so I am waiting for forge 1.7.4 stable build and then I will start from scratch. this will be much better thank you for your patience!
Dude, I am so glad you are back. I have always wanted to try your mod, but it has been outdated. I thought you would NEVER return. Seeing you return, means ANYTHING is possible (not really). I also do think it will spark some competition between you and Dr.Zhark.
Please help,I was making a resource pack, I only wanted to change the sounds. I finished it, and then tried it out. When I tried one of the items sound I changed, it instantly crashed. So did the Java Binary. It crashed for all the sounds I changed. I know that I made sure they were ogg format, so what did I do wrong?
Jragon is correct, you can make these already, but, I like the idea. Don't get discouraged because something can already be done. Just cause it can be done, doesnt mean it can be easily. I wouldnt mind having the chest implemented. And I am sure there are others, too. Some of us just arent redstone savvy. This would help out a ton.
Lol, this isn't the first time the comparator killed one of my suggestions
