    1) Coffeee is not a drug. 2) Your argument doesn't make sense. 3) You don't have to play the game if you don't like the features.

    1. It is. 2. That's not an argument. 3. That's an invalid argument. You could replace every mob with pink unicorns with that argument.

There should be a gamerule (possibly called explosionGriefing) that disables explosions from destroying blocks.

It would stop Creepers from destroying terrain without preventing Villagers from farming and picking up items. Most of the time I only set mobGriefing to false to stop creeper damage, but I don't want to also stop non-explosion interactions such as farming and endermen picking up blocks. This gamerule would also let mapmakers prevent TNT griefing without using plugins (so that they can be used in cosmetic explosions or as weapons against mobs).

You can detect Fuse 1 and turn mobGriefing off temporarily. But that doesn't work with fire balls.

I agree with @AMPPL50 there. It's just coffee, it's not a drug or anything that is seen as forbidden. You don't get any hallucinations or visions while u drink it in real life, how would it even be a drug in the game itself? And actually coffee its actually considerably good for the health. And that's the last thing you should even worry about, because probably some kids (10 years old at least) do drink coffee. It isn't bad. Bacon and exaggerated fat are.

If you're going to ban everything in the world that is not good for the health you won't eat and drink anything anymore. That's kinda nonsense at all.

Anyways, my suggestion might not get ingame (as I doubt that the game producers do read this forum) but it'll stay there.

I'm not saying it's poison, I'm saying it's a drug. You can get physically addicted to it and you have headaches and so on if you stop consuming it. But this is slowly getting into offtopic territory, so I'll stop.

So eating too many cookies should cause the PC to get fat

What? The PC gets fat? How that?

and be unable to sprint so kids don't think that it's a good idea to only eat cookies?

Cookies only give you a minimal amount of food points and almost no lasting effect (hunger starts draining faster again after eating).
Also: Cookies kill parrots, like in RL. That was made that way after people complained that children could kill their pets (in RL) by feeding them cookies after seeing it in the game.

Or rotten flesh should instantly kill the player so kids don't think that eating food in a bad state is a good idea if they're hungry?

It does give you a hunger effect. The icon looks green and rotten and unpleasant.

Or potions should cause some sort of downside to using them because they're the closest thing the game has to drugs?

There are negative potions. The rest is magic.

It still is an awful counterargument, as it not only is contradicted by the game itself, but it also depends on parents practically not caring about their children, and on said children to think that Minecraft is somehow a very accurate representation of reality.

You would be surprised by how many parents let their children do absolutely everything.

If anything, the real issue of the suggestion is that what happens if the player doesn't use coffee or a bed, or how it generally adds what clearly seems to be a mechanic that hardly adds anything to the game

    That's another point, yes.

It's coffee. It's not even really considered to be a drug (Event through it technically is), so I don't understand your argument.

The main problem is the moral of it: "You are sleepy? Why not drink coffee instead of going to bed?"

    Coffee.

To bring the coffee to the game, it would need to bring the sleep/rest function as well. After the last sleep (disregarding about the time length of it), the player can stay awake for 4 days (in-game time, of course). After that, the player will start to feel sleepy and will need to rest. To come back to work quickly, he can drink a coffee bucket which will give him more 2 days to stay awake.

The coffee wouldn't just end the sleep/rest need for the next 2 days, but would give the player more energy.

The energy makes you faster and a little bit stronger for 3 minutes. However, it won't make you more resistant to wounds, falls and hits (lava/fire and attacks) like the potions does.

The more coffee you drink, the more energy you get (not accumulating over the energy itself, only on its time - going up to 12 minutes only).

The coffee could actually be "potionable" using sugar, so you can make it last longer for your sleep to come back (up to 4 days only) and have more 20 minutes (making it 30 minutes on total).

The sleep bar (which could be illustrated by the famous sleep sign, the letter "Z") would have 10 bars just like the others. One single (1) coffee bucket would completely fill up the sleep bar, so it won't accumulate. However, the more coffee you drink, the more energy you can get (up to 4 coffee buckets only).

It's a kids game, there will never be drugs in it. Better look in the modding forum. Probably there even is a mod with coffee in it already.

Ooh, that actually sounds like a great idea!

No, it would not fit to Minecraft at all. Maybe a mod, but not Vanilla Minecraft. And before you attempt to read the entire forum: Look at the page number.

Suggestion: Endermen pick up items. That would be a small change, but if picked up block items are held like regular blocks by the endermen, this can be used for automatic block placement, offering many possibilities for farms without introducing a big new mechanic or being a too easy solution (would be similarly complicated as automatic block breaking).

But yea, it's coming. When I said I'd update it, I did mean it. Even if it's years late.

    Status Update:

I've updated ThebombzenAPI for 1.11.2. AutoSwitch coming Soon (TM), followed by EnchantView. I won't update the API download links until I update AS.

EV spigot plugin will have to wait. That will take more time and energy than I have right now.

Why not 1.12? Baby steps please. I have no idea if that'll be trivial or difficult. Especially considering that most forge servers are on 1.11 anyway.

I have no idea about the binary compatibility between 1.11 and previous versions. That is, I have absolutely no idea if 1.11 mods will run on 1.10. I'm guessing they will not. If this is not normal, they won't. If this is normal, they might? This used to be very clearly "no" but I don't know what sort of innovations Forge has figured out to make it work.

You're already doing the most important thing: Posting whenever there's something new. Nothing is worse than not knowing if there will ever be updates. Slow updates with reasons and information are definitely better.

    /gamerule attackCooldown [false/true]

    1. Let it be the new first rule of this forum: DO NOT REVERT 1.9! It was changed on purpose!
    2. You can already change the attack speed with commands. Do some basic searching, please.

Could Mojang add an option to enable/disable the default profiles "Latest Snapshot" and "Latest Release" because everyone who is not bored enough to make and customize their profiles don't need these...

There is already an option for that. You don't have to enable snapshots.

I forgot about trading for lapis, but that doesn't change much from my perspective. I guess my point is that there should be a way to automate it. If you want a whole bunch of black dye, you build a squid farm. Cocoa beans? Easy afk farm. Lapis (and by extension, cyan and purple dyes) is the only dye that cannot be automated, which makes super large scale building with these colors more effort than I think it should be, what with converting your other farm outputs to emeralds, inventory management and all that jazz. Aside from streamlining things, this change would give me another farm to build :).

Sadly most Mojangsters don't really like farming that much and don't purposefully make something farmable as far as I know. I don't know if there was ever a definite statement about this, but there were hints towards it.
For trading automation, I would use TinyTask, if you're ok with using automation programs on your PC to play for you (it moves the mouse and clicks on given locations automatically).

Sorry if I'm derailing the topic, but here's a small suggestion: I'd like to be able to stack non-stackable items in crafting tables. I just had to make about 3 stacks of dispensers and it was a nightmare. I understand why bows can't stack in my inventory, but I really don't see why they shouldn't stack in crafting tables.

Oh, and while you're at it Mojang, give us a farmable source of blue dye! Every other basic dye color is automatic or AFK farmable, and even many of the combined dye colors are as well. It may not matter for most people, but I'm a big automation guy, and it bugs me that this is the one aspect of dying things that there is no answer to other than going deep into a cave and hitting blocks.

You can trade for lapis. And the stacking in the crafting table is an awesome idea!

    Hi!

Anyone know where can I found good tools to build quality maps?

    Thanks guys!

Yes: Command blocks, structure blocks, redstone, resource packs and data packs. But seriously, this is not the right forum. Ask in "Mapping and modding" or in "Tools" (not sure if that's the category name, but there definitely is one like that).
