My Speculation: The Ender Dragon now has two drops, the egg and now the head. It would make sense that one of these would now be used to respawn the dragon in order to fight it again, although I'm only guessing.
As for what I would do with the head, if the model looked decent enough, I imagine most people would want to wear it, as it's a fairly unique item.

No they wont, that's 120 levels for the 4 parts of an armor set, and you still have to find the leather for the new crafting recipe of books to make the 15 bookshelves required to enchant a level 30 item. Tell me about yourself: University student in Computer Science, currently working for an Automotive company doing web design. I recently had an interesting idea for a mobile app, so I hope to begin development of that in the near future. I built my own gaming rig last August, and have enjoyed my share of Far Cry 4 and Kerbal Space Program, among other games.

Working on large projects with others is pretty cool, and I hope I have some building and redstone skills to bring to the table. Other than that, I am in college, but I should be able to chill with you guys often enough. I have skype, and if you are interested in accepting me, I can message you with it. Some of my other pass times include playing Kerbal Space Program and racquetball.

On another note, you asked if the beacon at your base was a good idea. The way this system will work is that you set up a fortress/base specifically for people to attack, and still have your hidden one somewhere else in the world. That way, people have a target, but if you lose, you haven't lost all you stuff.
