I presonally really sidlike the colored wood. It just looks wierd. Maybe something like that construction foam from whatever mod, that would look nice. Or, you know, tinted glass I know there is some kind of bug there, but there are mods that add colored glass too, if they could figure out a way to get rid of that then mojang can too.
The bug there is still in the mods; the modders just hand-wave it away and say "Meh, it's minecraft, what can you do."
The bug is that if you look through stained glass, you can't see water, ice, portals, and a few other blocks. I'm going to go ahead and call these types of blocks "translucent blocks" because that's what they are. Blocks with alpha channel between 0 and 1.
In fact, all translucent blocks have this bug: you can't see any translucent block behind another.
Particles render behind translucent blocks.
You can see all the bugs using existing translucent blocks; the easiest to get hold of is ice.
So basically, I'm just going to post this video because everyone's been begging Vechs not to see this.
I suppose here would be a good way to get people to come up with a good way for Vechs not to see this, since you guys know Vechs well?
What it does is place whenever you get close enough. And amusingly enough, when you are close enough, the top of the volcano explodes, so you can't get in.

Just saw that this mod updated, Is it a whole new system (like the 1.3.x -> 1.4.x update) or is it just a compatibility fix? (I did look over the last few pages and didnt see any info on it)
Compatibility fix.
You'll know when it's a whole new system when 3.1.x.
(hint: the middle number changes with a major change, the first number when a rewrite)
after reading this, i think that making the visual part of the aura node appear, like in the current thaumcraft when you're wearing the goggles of revealing, would be a very cool feature to help track down the aura node blocks.
also, i would like to see a slightly lower tier item: a thaumic compass. it would point to the nearest aura node, or the strongest nearby one, or something like that. it would be a useful tool even when you have the goggles of revealing. it would help you find underground aura nodes (if there will still be any), and help track down the location of the node (preferably in a more 3d way than a vanilla compass). perhaps it could even require the goggles of revealing to work.
7. I've already set up magic hand mirror+magic mirror+hungry chest. The problem is its size. Only one chest. But, yeah, hopper, double chest. That one is not a very important one for me.
14. So it is possible to breed animals already. Ok, I didn't think of that. You can probably tell that I didn't create golems yet. The reason is I didn't need them much by the time I researched them. But it still cannot farm for leather and steak, can it? Or for feathers for example if you're breeding chickens.
That's what the intelligent iron golem guardians are for. They can kill any type of mob.
(Note: what the guy said about intelligent tallow golems was a suggestion.)
Yeah, the problem is, i need BOTH lapis and gold so i can't waste them, and i need strings and wool too so i need to conserve those materials as much as i can since i can't hunt mobs with this equiment, and i already have a lot of problems with chickens and cows, so i will need to build an even bigger farm for sheeps since i need a lot of costus, well, i need an emerald anyway to finish what i need lapis for so i think i might use some instead of building up resources i won't use.
Two lapis + two sheep + many wheat = many blue sheep.
Shear the sheep.
Get lots of carus.
Yeah, I knew of that option. The no tech restriction is self-imposed as a challenge to myself. I already dislike having to use the engine, centrifuge and squeezer but bees are useless without those. Adding my request would also allow golems to be used for long-distance item transport, too. As it is, you'd need a long chain of them to get anywhere more than 100 blocks.
Set the golem to put it into a dispenser/dropper and put a pressure plate on the side of the dispenser the golem walks up to to put items in.
Just going to make a quick snip here to just note how annoying it was to have boats as the primary form of motus before Twilight Forest blocks got aspects, if for no other reason than they don't stack.
EXCELLENT. Exactly what I needed. I don't need to bother with changing around the spawn point. (Also, I bet that setting spawn via command blocks is like setting spawn with beds.) I'm making a map that's in perma-night, so I was planning on achieving this with a daylight sensor hooked up to a command block that's against the rules to mess with. (Yes, I know it means adding a rule, but it's necessary.) Otherwise, I'd have to put tons of those daylight sensor/command block things all over the map. Thanks!
Unless this has been changed recently, a daylight sensor in an enclosed area gives off power at night.

Get the newest version of Forge. The real newest version, from http://files.minecraftforge.net/, not the RECOMMENDED version, which few mods use.

You need to update to the latest version. The bug you have given was fixed.

Be even more amazing if you could research entities -- researching creepers would be fun. And rage-inducing, but fun.

Minecraft 2.0 Red.
For added difficulty, try Purple.
For people who don't like the spontaneous mobs, try Blue.

Thus, you can just enclose it in bedrock.
