Hmm, strange. Still looking, can you try updating forge from 1044 to the latest 1339 / 1341?
1044 was one of the preview builds, if I recall correctly..
Karyonix has done his testing on build 1339, I'm using 1341 myself -- I can't find any differences between the 2 builds.
This seems to have fixed it - I uploaded to build 1341, and it was able to load a village fine in a new world. If it does it again though, I'll tell you.

Yeah, I've done that and it hasn't worked. It says it installs, but the java that Minecraft uses doesn't change automatically, and I don't know what to change it to to fix it.
I think your resolution would be to update from Java 1.6 to 1.8.
You can do it from java.com, or update to the latest MacOS (Yosemite?) and use the Apple Store (Search Java 1.8). Make sure your video drivers are updated to the latest version as well.
You're already at the latest MacOS, so, hit up the AppStore and get Java 1.8 :).
Sorry that this is only tangentially related to Karyonix's shaders, but I've tried numerous times installing Java 1.8 with no luck. I can't find it on the app store, and the downloads seem to do nothing.
However, when I edit Minecraft profiles, I see this:
but I don't know how to change it to 1.8. Installing the JDK 1.8 hasn't done anything. I'm not sure if you'll be able to help, but I felt it would be worth asking...

Yes, I do have a youtube. It only has my old album though, so you'll have to try to get Soundcloud to work if you want to listen to my new one. Sorry 'bout that!
Thanks for the response! As you can see, I took your advice in mind and tried to make a song that included a heavier kick, a better structure, key variations, and sidechaining! I might have went a bit overkill, but hopefully I'll get it in time.
Also, I now have soundcloud embeds so it's a lot easier to listen to.
I never had any really childish thoughts, but I when I was really young I wanted to go on a plane because I thought I'd be able to see the stars easier.
I am terrified of... well, spider webs. I have nightmares that spiderwebs cover the earth and I can't stand anywhere without standing inside a spiderweb. And there aren't even any spiders in the webs...
Yes, yes I do. I recently bought the $200 DAW (digital audio workstation) Logic Pro and have been working very hard at putting together my first complete album, "Fourteen Years per Second".
You can listen to it and download it for free on my bandcamp, right here: http://vo1dwalk3r.ba...ears-per-second
Also, here are some soundcloud embeds for easy listening:
Atomic Sciences - The Study of the World of Minecraft on a Microscopic Scale by Ecthelion II
Well, we all know the world of Minecraft is pixelated and made of cubes, most of which are divided into 163sub-cubes - pixels. Each sub-cube is its own entity, "particle" if you will, made up of many subatomic zero-dimensional bits. There are 2553 different variations of these bits, each of which accounts for one of the possible colors. Each bit variation has a unique signature, and will only bind with other bits of its exact kind. This binding process occurs through each bit's extremely weak magnetic force. This magnetic force is constrained to a three dimensional, cubical grid, giving the sub-cubes and cubes their cubical shape. The bits' magnetic force, however, is only strong enough to bind together a certain amount of bits, and so each sub-cube is the same size. Likewise, the same goes for sub-cubes - their magnetic force is only able to hold 163 sub-cubes together, giving the cubes their sizes.
Once these sub-cubes bind together to form cubes, the sub-cubes are eternally bonded and no known process can separate them. Also, very important to the Minecraft universe, is the fact that once bonded, the sub-cubes in a cube are unable to bond to anything else. Each cube has its own magnetic force too, causing the blocks to stay in place when put down - even if it is on the side of a wall or suspended in midair. This makes it so that the only way of retrieving a block after placing it is forcefully tearing it from the block it was bonded with.
However, there are another type of bits - bio-bits. Even though they are not actually alive, they are what makes up every creature. They act very similar to regular bits but their sub-cubes do not always bond into perfect cubes, nor do they bond with cubes formed of regular bits. Other than that, they are virtually exactly alike regular bits. The likely reason that they formed is that when animal life formed, it had no way to move, and thus had no way to eat or drink and would eventually die. Bio-bits also form nonliving objects - sand and gravel, the only blocks affected by gravity. And there is life made of normal bits - trees, grass, and plants.
If you would like to add to this or change it, no problem!

Not so much with me.
I am terrified of... well, spider webs. I have nightmares that spiderwebs cover the earth and I can't stand anywhere without standing inside a spiderweb. And there aren't even any spiders in the webs...

Well, we all know the world of Minecraft is pixelated and made of cubes, most of which are divided into 163 sub-cubes - pixels.
