posted a message on Assistant Wanted

I need a couple players to aid me in the creation of my server. It's a world where the main idea is humans and fanciful creatures living together and either getting along or fighting amongst each other as they choose. The list consists, at this point, of: Humans, Hunters, Dwarves, Witches, Vampires, Werewolves, Merfolk, Dementors, and Sirens. Each fanciful creature is a player who chooses to become that entity! The world is very young and still in it's way early developmental stages. Currently, I am working on creating Vampires. They are the first creatures I've worked on so far and I need a couple other players to help me test them. Anyone who is interested just let me know and I'll give the server address. If you have any questions feel free to post them. :)

How would I use the /execute command to detect whether or not the rangers are crouching? I like that idea a lot, it might work well for what I'm trying to accomplish.

posted a message on Ranger faction camouflage?

    Hello everyone!

I play a ton of singleplayer as my network situation prevents me from doing multiplayer, but as I build in my worlds I always do it from a mindset that one day I will be doing multiplayer and I want to be prepared for that day. I have a scoreboard team called "Ranger" and they are supposed to blend in to any background easily. However, I don't want them to be invisible all of the time, I want others to be able to see them but not if the ranger doesn't want them to. Dyed leather armor provides little protection and as their main weapon is the bow they will be trying to avoid as much close quarter combat as possible. The rangers' main purpose is intelligence, not fighting. I looked into camouflage online but all I found were a bunch of different skins, this won't work because what works well on one background is totally wrong for another. I'm looking for like a chameleon type effect. Any tips would be much appreciated. Also, if you use the /say command can anyone online hear what you say, or does your voice die after a certain distance. Thanks!

posted a message on All data tags for written books?

Does anyone know where I can find a complete list of all written book tags for vanilla minecraft v1.9.4? For example, I know how to use color, bold, underlined, hoverEvent, and clickEvent but I'm pretty sure that written books aren't restricted to just this.

I'm making a spell book and would like for the book-user to be able to speak the spell upon use. So instead of just clicking "Ferula" and gaining regeneration I'd like for the caster to click "Ferula" and gain the regeneration effect while saying "Ferula!". Or is this even possible?

Any help would be much appreciated.

posted a message on HELP I CAN'T FIND MY HOUSE IN SUPERFLAT

Do you happen to have exact coordinates? Did you leave any trails before you started building that you could follow to get back there? Do you remember any distinguishing landmarks that would tell you where you are relative to the place that you died? Do you remember which direction you originally went upon spawning to get to the place where you were?

I don't know a thing about all that. I can't do multiplayer as my ability to join servers is extremely limited, i play singleplayer. If it would cause online problems then no, but what I'm talking about is other players in my world (if that ever happened) that misbehave by reducing my hard work to cinders. Then they would be punished.

posted a message on Introductions & Leavings

    Hello everyone!

I've only been on this fourm for a little less than two days. I'm hoping that I'm posting in the right place, a lot of the areas I've seen posts they were told that they were in the wrong spot. As I said I'm new so I'm still trying to figure things out. If I do post in a wrong spot please tell me where to post and not just that I shouldn't be here. I'm often misunderstood when I say something but in actuality, I'm just trying to be helpful. So if I say something you just don't get, please ask what I meant or why I said it, I probably didn't mean what you thought.

My cousin introduced me to minecraft a while back and I've been playing it for about a year and a half (could be longer though, time flies when you're having fun.) I like minecraft commands and know how to use the following fairly well but I'm still learning:

    /entitydata

    /fill

    /give (this includes written books)

    /gamemode

    /gamerule

    /setblock

    /setworldspawn

    /spawnpoint

    /summon

    /testfor

    /testforblock

    /weather

There may be others as I'm putting these down off the top of my head. I'm sixteen and enjoy minecraft for its stretching of the mind and calling your best creativity from within you. I'm notorious for meaning almost everything that I say.

making it and it's still under development. After all the time I've put into it I would kill anyone who destroyed it.

(Sorry for the extra post. My keyboard won't cooperate.)

Exactly! Bijx and Tankman261 said it perfectly! This is why I have been formulating ideas inside my own head for just such a secenario, if you blew my mall up you'd have it coming! I've spent weeks

posted a message on Enderdragon Does not take damage; cannot move.

Try this, go to chat and type:

    /kill @e[type=EnderDragon]

He should immediately die. Since he's not moving his AI value might be 1. AI causes mobs to have no motivation so they just become like living statues. If the AI value is set to 1 for a mob they go stock-still, if it's set to 0 they behave like normal. If you want him to start moving again you can try this command in chat:

    /entitydata @e[type=EnderDragon] {NoAI:0}

Because I'm not there, however, I can't tell you exactly what's wrong with him.

I use a Mac OS X. I've found it to do a very good job of running minecraft. I don't experience lag until I get around a lot of particles. (But if you don't know what these are or how to make them then you don't have to worry about lag.)

I don't know what bukkit is, I play vanila minecraft. I do have an idea, however, if you're interested. It involves immortality and when you remove all chances of death (which is both a blessing and a curse) you only get a curse. But I do need to know, how is bukkit different from vanila and will the players to be punished have any power with commands (or do they work in bukkit minecraft?)
