There is discussion on whether there should be a food recipe involving them though, the only problem being we came against a barrier when it came to it being cute.
Huh, I guess FC would find it a bit too easy to get, given what he's stated about his vision for this mod. I can dig that. (The fact that I already crafted a pumpkin into seeds in my world before getting this mod is totally irrelevant)
That said, removing any alternative to wolf poop from the mod is a bit of a shame, if you ask me. Wolves are really, really rare these days. To the point where finding them is nigh-impossible. I roamed the pine forests for hours, yet didn't find a single canine. They're almost impossible to come across.
The only change that's even been mentioned is the removal of tanning leather via logs. That and the pumpkin seed recipe will probably go. Otherwise...why would he change recipes backwards :|
Wait, what? That means we have to go look for the dumb-as-doorknobs, rarer-than-diamonds wolves to tan some leather?!
*Yells at the sky*
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
FC, might you consider *some* alternative to wolf-droppings for the tanning process? Nothing too easy, of course, but... something?
You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Nandonalt's Biomewater was always a fave of mine, and since 1.0 made my swamps icky, I've been missing it more and more. With your mod, they look infinitely better. Thank you kindly!
Now, if only there were a way to combat that aweful overlay on the vegetation in swamps...
Hi Flowerchild, I'm an avid fan of your mod- it's great and adds a lot of depth ot the game's tech tree. Sure, some of the additions seem a bit odd (the companion cube and gimp armour come to mind), but honestly it's a small peeve more than anything else. The mod is fantastic.
I would like to make a suggestion: it's become harder and harder to find wolves these days- it seems their spawn rate has gone way down in 1.8+. Since their poop is so important for this mod (scouring leather), it's become a bit of a roadblock for me. I just can't seem to find any wolves, no matter how hard I look.
Have you considered making rotten flesh be an alternative option for scouring leather? Only you would require several for every piece of leather, considering how easy they are to aquire compared to wolf droppings.
I've made progress, but there are more hard-coded colors (potions, pine/birch trees, water/lava drops) in the game than I realized at first. I'd really like to have something that addresses all of them without overwhelming texture pack authors with work.
Interesting. I hope you're not planning to make a blanket remove-all option though- come people might just want one annoying overlay removed, not all of them.
Awe. Some. I cannot tell you how much grief that overlay has given me as a textur-maker. If you manage to remove it I (and many others I'm sure) will be super grateful. :smile.gif:
Hi, I notice you're using a few textures from the Dokucraft Continuation Project. Namely, the raw and cooked chicken, the watermelon slice, the, beef, the sickle and the rotten flesh. Did you get explicit permission from the creators of each of these textures?
Hello everyone, I've got a problem which up until recently has been minor, but recently has become a MAJOR problem for me.
Basically, I can't connect to the Minecraft.net servers. This happens when the site is just fine and other people manage to connect, and it's not a problem with my internet because I can connect to other sites just fine. Now, I've just been playing in offline mode for the past while, since I'm more of an SSP guy myself, but recently a good friend has bought Minecraft and I really want to play with them. However, this is impossible for me. I also can't play the in-browser version of minecraft. Java loads up and the loading screen flashes for a split second, then- nothing but a black square.
My internet is fine and my Java is up-to-date. There are no error logs for me to post or anything like that. Does somebody have any idea what could be wrong? I'd reeeaally like to play with my friend.
Hi, I notice you've used 3 textures from the Dokucraft Continuation- the melon seeds, the pumpkin seeds, and the rotten flesh icons. Did you get permission from the creators of those textures to upload them? Because if you didn't, I have to ask you remove them.

Also, what do you mean by 'cute'?

Also, what recipe includes Pumkin seeds?

He's edited his OP after I posted, changing the items.png. This new version hasn't got any textures from the continuation project.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does that mean?

Awesome, I was just checking. You'd be suprised how many people don't have the decency to do that. Thanks. :smile.gif:

Looks like a spambot to me- check the signature. We get 'em every so often. Just report and move on.
