Yea that's true. Probably just jealous because she has received a great, life changing opportunity.
Precisely, the day they announced that they hired her, there was a lot of flaming, not many people knew her.
And no-one knew why she was hired, but Mojang obviously has a reason. I haven't seen her CV, but they have.
Similar hate also flowed when notch posted a pic of the whole Mojang team in their new offices. Many people raged that minecraft should be done already with such a big team, sadly mots people don't know what goes on behind the scenes of Mojang, and that Minecraft is just a part, a very lucrative part, of the whole company.
She kind of just came out of nowhere. It seems that randomly Notch just said "Some random Youtuber with pink hair is now part of Mojang for no reason!". Was there a reason she was picked over someone like the Yogscast?v.
It is her job, that is what she was hired to do, many months ago. She organizes Minecon and the Game Expo stands, also she goes to award seremonies in the USA that Mojang can't attend.
She is Mojang US so to speak.
And I know she's a good public speaker, but she came out of nowhere O_o.
She has been on their payroll for quite some time now, she has had a Mojang twitter profile pic for months and writes some of the Mojang.com blog posts, her real name : Lydia
Mooshrooms are the most usefull mob in the game, they give mushrooms, mushroom soup, beef and leather.
They can be found on Mushroom Islands, which generally generate between continents, so be prepared to sail out away from your mainland insearch of the islands.
A mountain biome that has been cut up with many large lakes!
Forest en snow nextdoor, desert a short trip away, plains with my farm base a bit further away
Downloaded this last night without knowing anything about it, other than it finds strongholds.
Got around to testing it just now. Insanely impressed at the functionality and polish!
Well done sir! You are a gentleman and scholar!
The idea is simple: the user selects which biomes and features they want in their world, and the mod generates it.
The ideal map generator would thus likely consist of a back-bone terrain generation code that can take certain parameters from plugin-based biomes and terrain features to generate the world. It handels the generation and transitions between biomes, taking what it needs from the plugins.
Other modders on the forum would tweak the biome specs to whatever they wish, to produce earth-porn like biomes and features. The biomes and features can then be added to the mod folder, the biomes appear in the drop list and the user picks which biomes they want added.
An example: the user finds a Caribbean Island Biome plugin (new tree shapes, strings of island for example) on the forum, and an Ancient Ruin Feature plugin (randomly placed surface ruins with chests and spawners etc.). He then adds them to the mod, loads a new map, done, tropical islands with ruins everywhere! :smile.gif:
just purchased minecraft yesterday. I am very new to it and, as a dad, mainly purchased it for my 3 kids. I never browsed this forum before. We have 3 machines here and as someone who played extensively games for 20 years, I was basically expecting to be able to put my copy on my 3 machines, set one as server, and connect 3 clients, and they can play together. This is what we are able to do with all the games we payed on LAN. Isn't it considered a minimum nowadays for multiplayer games?
What do I read now? Each player must have his account and purchase his license? And there is a trick to add one (no more) "Player" player in offline mode. No players can change their name...
I'm so disappointed. No, there is now 4 disppointed heads in the family!!

PS: the CTM singleplayer lanes sounds like a great concept :smile.gif:

Durian is just a reshuffle of my real name, usually fits in well in fantasy games, until some finds out its a fruit LOL.
