posted a message on Taking mod requests for simple or medium difficulty ideas

Hey, Alexiy, I have one final mod request. If at all possible, I want you to update this mod (http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1291181-1-6-2-modloader-forge-morexp-v1-0-rewritten#entry23895107) to 1.11.2 or 1.12. I find these kinds of mods extremely useful, especially since I frequently use Customized generation to make extremely challenging Survival worlds with little to no ores, and even when I don't, it would be interesting to see how this would affect the experience dynamic of the game.

I have my own idea, but I think it's rather advanced and wouldn't be easy to do. I'm also sure I'm not the first one to have thought of this idea.

Simple: I want to add to the game a Customized world option tie-in to the Little Tiles mod that allows one to generate an entire world out of Little Tiles blocks and items. The world generation should be in the same format and with the same customizable world generation settings (structures and features, ore settings, and advanced user settings) as the Customized world type. Of course, this means a lot of resources, so there needs to be a way to craft a set number of Little Tiles items/blocks in a crafting table to get the regular items. Or, if you're not up to setting up a new crafting recipe for literally EVERY ITEM AND BLOCK IN THE GAME, you can just throw the items in the crafting table and get the normal-sized blocks directly.

Obviously, this has to be compatible with and used with the mod itself, otherwise, what's the point of creating an entire world out of it?

I'd have to agree with everyone else, dude. Sorry. Simple fact is, these bugs might not be a real concern to most Minecraft players, but whenever there's a bug, there's always that really tiny portion of the playerbase that, because of the bug and whatever else, can't play at all, and for them, the bug fix can usually save them from having to upgrade their hardware or spending unnecessary money just so they can play the game they already paid $27 for.

I had a thought. Why not turn the code for Little Blocks (or whatever version you'd prefer to work with) into its own customizable world generation setting?

As much of a joke as that previous sentence sounds, I'm dead serious. I would be very interested in seeing Little Blocks or whatever such mod get its own world generation setting, with simple customizable options such as ore generation and biome features, just like the Customized world gen option.

posted a message on 1.11.2 Mod Updates (probably quite difficult, advanced mod makers preferred)

I'd like to see two mods I use a lot on 1.7.10 and 1.9.4 updated to 1.11.2 and/or 1.12, but they seem to be quite difficult, as neither has been done to their respective degrees in any other mod on any other version I've ever seen, so just some forewarning there. I'll provide some brief descriptions as to what each mod does below their respective links.

First up: the InfiniteInvo mod (http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2336005-infiniteinvo-all-the-inventory-space-a-player)

This mod does exactly what it says: grants the player a nearly endless inventory. The mod is built so you can configure it right through the Mod menu in-game, which allows the player to configure the number of additional inventory slots they need, which allows the player to tailor the mod to their own individual playstyle. In-game, when playing, the configuration can be set so one of two things happens: you can either progressively unlock additional inventory slots using your EXP levels or orbs (also configurable), or you can automatically have all slots when you start the game. This mod is very resource-intensive, as on my own game system, I could only run a maximum of 5400 inventory slots without my game crashing.

Here's the other mod: Compression (http://minecraft-forum.net/minecraft-mods-downloads/1-7-10-compression-mod-download/)

Currently, the latest version of the mod supports 1.9.4, even though the link above redirects to the 1.7.10 version. This mod does exactly what it says: provides a compression system to block and items in-game. This mod "can compress all blocks... and any non-data item..." up to eighteen levels, which provides an incredibly dense storage-saving alternative to other mods. Certain blocks or items, when compressed to level 18, can become "black holes," which basically means they begin to absorb nearly similar items. Grass grabs other grass-type blocks, stone grabs stone, etc.

As I've said before, these mods would likely be quite hard to translate to 1.11.2/1.12 because of their unique qualities, so I would prefer an experienced or advanced mod maker undertake one or both of these projects. Simply post to this forum or send me a PM if interested.

Yeah, either that or 1.11.2, both of which I use most frequently as compared to the other versions. And could you provide me a copy of that mod download file in the meantime? Sounds like I could use it on a furnace, lol.

EDIT: For the mod, just something that, as stated, allows for adjustment, from transferring 1 block per second up to 16.

Yeah, both of those mods are far too complicated for me. Like you said, I want something vanilla-esque that just edits how fast hoppers can transport items.

DO those mods have hoppers that serve the purpose I want them to? If so, I'll try them out.

posted a message on Hopper Mod Request for 1.7.10

I'm getting sick of hoppers being so slow that it takes until I have a full inventory after a day in the mines for a hopper to empty a single small chest, and I can't find a way to make it faster without using YouTube tutorials to build timers with resources I don't have, so my request is a simple one. I'd like someone to make a mod that allows configuration of hoppers, such as how many blocks they can transfer at once, and the speed at which said transfer is completed.

Hey, I've got one last mod request. Hoppers in the game are too slow unless you port multiple hoppers to a single chest or some such. Can you make a mod that allows you to adjust the speed of the hoppers?

I did add the recipe, it's a bit different from what you requested -

Thanks, dude. Are you going to follow up on the other two things I requested, or are those dead in the water? Just wanted to know for future reference.

Can someone tell me what the block IDs of these are? I need them to add mod support for Vein Miner 1.7.10.

I've got three things for you: a request for a mod update of one I frequently use, but is outdated, another (but very time-consuming and probably advanced) mod request, and a beginner's review of the one you already made for me. I'll start with the last.

Well, the only problem I have with the mod thus far is that you didn't add in the requested crafting recipe, which means the experience storage block can't be obtained in Survival worlds unless through console commands. Can you please fix that?

Next, I really enjoy the features of the Better Sugar Cane mod (https://mods.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/224415-better-sugar-cane) but it stopped being updated in 2015, and is only compatible with 1.7.10. If at all possible, could you update it so it works on 1.12?

Finally, I had an idea for a block compression system. Of course, there are quite a lot of those out there, but the few that have been updated to support 1.12 are rather lacking in the list of blocks and items that can be compressed, as well as the number of times compression can be done. Now, I'm not proposing unlimited compression or unlimited storage, seeing as how not only that would be a bit of a god-hack, but the issues of storing such massive amounts of items would, upon going to completely decompress those items, cause, to put it in layman's terms, a game crash, which would basically render the mod not worth anyone's time. I'm only thinking do maybe five to seven compression levels. To compress a block that is supported by the mod, simply place nine of it into the crafting table, and it will yield one compressed block, and repeat for the subsequent compression levels themselves until the compression limit is reached. And to get those items back in their decompressed, simply place them into the crafting table as you would a gold block or a coal block.

Thanks again for reading this, Alexiy.

Is the mod self-sustaining, or do I need to add the Groovy library for it to work?

The mod is ready. I made a simple XP counter, too, it can be toggled in mod settings.

If you don't mind my asking, where did you post it? I can't see it on the forums.
