DivineRPG. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated to 1.5.x yet and it's basically the centerpiece of my mod collection. At least until I find something better.

For some reason your modded texture pack doesn't work for me. It loads and the menu looks fine but it still has default textures in game? EDIT: I see your texture pack is for MC 1.5.X, I assume that is why. I'm running this on MC 1.4.7

I figured out the shadow issue as well. After I did a fresh install on MultiMC and loaded each mod separately I had a revelation and solved it. It was caused because I had "Highlight tips shown" set in NEI. Whenever it showed a highlight tip, the shadows disappeared. I set it to "Highlight tips hidden" and the problem went away.

Ok, thanks. I deleted the grey in the texture pack and now instead of the entire texture going crazy, just the cracks are really bright... Is there something else I need to tweak?

Tweaked a few settings such as shadow resolution with no luck on the shadow front... Can't figure out what is going on with them...

Updated my video card drivers with no change. I'm running a GeForce GTX 570 if it matters.

On the mod front, yes I do. Several actually, though I'm not sure which of them might be the culprit.

    Mods are:

    DivineRPG
    AtmosMobs
    All of Pam's Harvest Craft
    Forestry
    Biomes-A-Plenty
    DrZharks MoCreatures Mod
    Rei's Minimap
    Zombie Awareness
    Not Enough Items

Looks fantastic except for a couple issues I'm having that hopefully someone can help me out with.

First, and I think this is a known issue based on my research, but I figured I'd as anyway while I'm at it just to be sure. I'm using the sphax purebdcraft texture pack and blocks turn really dark or have glitched textures while they are being broken. Any fix yet?

Next, and this one is the really annoying one... Shadows look fine, however when I look down they disappear entirely and then reappear when I look back up... This leads to incessant any annoying brightness changes as I look around. Any idea what might cause that?

Here is a video of the shadow glitch:

I have a similar problem, cept' it CTD's for me rather than hanging on a black screen. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Got it working, kinda. I downloaded the minecraft.jar client instead of the minecraft.exe one and it launches now. However I get timeout errors when trying to connect to a multiplayer server. One step at a time lol

Try updating your version of java. I had this issue and just by updating the java I had, it solved it :happy.gif:

Already checked that, no luck. xS

What does the tester load differently that would cause it to work but the actual client to crash?

Posted this on the patcher thread, but bringing it here as well to see if anyone here can help:

Ok starting to go a bit crazy here. I installed the LB Photo Realism Pack on a friends machine and it works no problem. Our computer are custom builds and near identical in every way.

On my machine the game will sit at the Mojang screen for a few seconds and then crash to desktop. Oddly enough if I click "Test Minecraft" in the patcher the game starts just fine and runs great. It only crashes when I try to run it outside of the patcher.

Here is what the patcher tells me when I hit test:
Reducing java heap size to 768M for 32-bit OS + large texture pack
    [java, -cp, C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/minecraft.jar;C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/lwjgl.jar;C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/lwjgl_util.jar;C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/jinput.jar, -Djava.library.path=C:\Users\Hellsing\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/natives, -Xmx768M, -Xms512M, net.minecraft.client.Minecraft]
