If it's you acting, use something like fraps, as the demo records 30 seconds. If it's an animation, then I have no idea.
Well Fraps is fine if the view is first person, but third person by default is terrible for acting and difficult to control in Minecraft. How would you even do animation in Minecraft, I'm not familiar with that to be honest.
I'm not looking for the instrumental version of popular music, I'm looking for background music to go along with the vocals I'm remixing. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
I've been interested in learning to create remixes, and I'm wondering where I could find free music (instrumental) tracks to use for remixing with. Does anyone know a site where I can find this sort of thing?
Your banner seems nice, and u use custom pictures for your listening of the youtube videos
Maybe try out a let's play at mc.orphiel.org Would be apreciated.
What do you mean custom pictures for listening? I'm confused by this.
I would love to do a let's play on your server, but could you include more information about it, I can't seem to find it.
Yeah. I enjoy the kind of management stuff too. I like creating the thumbnails and organizing the channel and stuff too.
I don't sound really enthusiastic in my videos though, unfortunately. I have a really monotone voice.
I really like the management stuff, one of the reason I did this was to practice my design skills, as I'm going to be taking design and media course at a post-secondary level. And I too, have a monotone voice. It's funny because when you're not trying you can probably be really funny and energetic, but when you have to be, it's much harder.
Yeah, that's the spirit. If you aren't having fun your video won't be fun.
So true, I know people who have quit doing this sort of thing because they just didn't enjoy themselves, they saw it as work. Which is a shame, because it can be a really fun experience.
First off I noticed that the background noises were pretty loud, and there was a lot of white noise if you have your sound up a bit. The second thing I noticed is that you say "Um" quite a bit, which can only be fixed with practice. You also lost of train of thought a few times, and have fairly long pauses between words (from what I saw, I only watched the beginning), but this will all improve in time as you get more comfortable recording, Otherwise, you did an overall good job, IMO.
I realize I um and ah a lot, but I don't want to cut out a lot of the video, if I don't have to. Not so much out of laziness, more to keep the flow of the video. I do cut sometimes or do speed throughs though. I'm going to keep practicing to get better, and I will try looking into public speaking techniques (likely some skills are transferable). Thanks for the feedback!
I try and do things besides just my survival let's play, because as you said, there are millions of them. But it is something I find fun to do, so I do it for myself as much as for others. In terms of Minecraft, it's hard to be original, just because it's probably the most done game for a gaming channel, but I thought it's a good place to start, especially because it has such a strong community. Later I'm looking at branching out into other games, I actually have some video footage recorded for a Castle Crashers series, which I'll be getting to editing soon.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my videos and channel, I really appreciate it! I will take a look at you and your friends videos, just not right this moment, but in the near future for sure!
Well, I couldn't get any feedback whatsoever except of complains about audio, so I guess I know what you (gonna) fell.
First of all, people are going to keep telling you, that you did a great job. You probably didn't. You will did a great job if you keep attention of viewers to the very end of an episode (you have some charts in you YouTube settings). Until then, try to find every possible way to improve your videos.
Second, the content. To be honest, the video can contain whatever you want in it. The question is: "Do I want to be the hundredth guy who search a village and do caving or do I want to do something interesting, original and creative?" The difference is, if you want to be the first guy, don't expect to become anything big. Of course being small channel is not a bad thing, but seeing that you monetization is turned on I guess that not satisfy you.
Second second, that is, how to improve you videos. Well, I don't look like a guy that can answer this question, at least youtube's charts doesn't say so, but I'll try my best.
Watching bigger channels try to imagine how the whole process of creating an episode looked like. If it was spontaneous and let's player just happened to be a man that you would like to listen to, if it was well thought and heavy scripted, those kind of staff. Try to seek for things you can apply to your videos. Once you get an overall idea how to make a good video, try to imitate. There is nothing wrong in doing that as long as you don't follow "template" step by step, be creative with you creations, personality and so on.
One more thing is that "big boys" are usually eager to share they wisdom with little ones. I watch circa one video per 2 weeks about how to be successful on youtube, and I don't even search for them. Listen to what they are saying, it's almost the same story so probably they are right (or all of them are wrong, idk).
Before I go, last few words - don't expect to be a huge success. Not even a small one. You can dream of success, but don't pretend that you are up-coming star and winner of all internets. If you get you fan-base and rest of the cool things, it's gonna be a neat surprise.
All best for you, my friend!
BTW I use Samson Go (mic), I thing I have a few samples on my channel to show.
First off, you put a lot of time into this reply so thanks so much for your time. I know I'm not going to be a huge success, probably not a success at all, but it's a fun thing to do, and they only get better with practice.
I would be fine being a "small channel", the number of subscribes doesn't matter so much as the quality of subscribers, whether they comment or show an interest in my videos, not just generate views. I only have monetization on to allow me to use some additional features, as I don't have my videos monetized yet.
Thank you for your mic suggestion, I'll check out your channel soon to hear for myself!
I am a fairly new YouTuber, and I've already posted a few let's plays, but am having trouble on how to improve my channel. I could really use some feedback on what my video's are lacking and ways to make them better.
As well, my latest video was just uploaded here:
Note: There are no annotations on my latest video as the annotations feature is currently not working. All other comments are welcome!
If you would like me to check out some of your videos and provide feedback I would be more than willing to as a way of saying thank you!
I really liked your intro, seemed pretty original too me. The only problem I had with your video was the background sound is fairly loud( Your keyboard tapping mostly) I don't know what kind of mic you use but usually you can go into your audio settings and find a button to turn on background noise reduction. Overall, I thought you did a good job!
Would you be able to recommend a good mic for me to use?

Thanks I really appreciate the feedback! I am in the process of saving up for a new microphone, but I'd like to build up a bit of a fan base first, before I spend too much money on equipment.

Oh quick question, what version is this in 1.5.2 or 1.6?
