In the very beginning there was no races they were all the same humanoids, but as the race grew there was a very large gap in differences between them. As they had no specific definition these humanoids could be found in the coldest tundra, the darkest caves, and the boggiest swamps. But soon they started to branch out. It was no longer one large colony... but three. As they evolved the ones who favored the mountains and cold tundra grew large to maintain more body heat and to be able to knock trees over with a single blow. The ones who favored the caves started to grow extra appendages to help them keep balance amognst the rocks and ores of the subterranean regions. And the ones who favored the swamps became shorter and more nimble as to move faster to avoid detection from the swamps dangers and to be light footed as to not sink in the damp ground.

But at the beginning of this marvelous evolution all was peaceful. The ones who favored the caves , and named themselves Vrak, supplied the other nations with ores and stone when needed, while the nimble swamp people, favoring the name Hylanian, supplied the others with rare shrooms, and alchemical skills along with other wonders of the swamp. The giants to the north, naming themselves Hiscount, supplied the seperate tribes with plenty of wood and hardy men for blacksmithing and bodyguarding. But as the Vrak slowly started to believe themselves to be the slaves of the above ground tribes by delivering them ores, they cut them off and started a dispute. At first it was a minor diplomacy issue, but the Vraks demands to restore the other tribes with a supply of ores again was too high... they wanted full control of all the known land and be named "The Superior Race" but as the other tribes refused the Vrak finnaly settled upon taking the land and claiming it theirs by force, exterminating the other tribes in the process. The Vrak were very unhonorable in their start of this attempted genocide. The came to the idea of a sneak attack they hit the outlying villages in the night while most were asleep. The other races sensed a queasiness in the Vraks attitude and posted a few more guards in case. But to no avail since they were cut off from most ores they had mainly leather armor, stone weapons and the rare iron sword. As the Vrak charged in diamond and gold the outlying villages were takin by them easily. The leaders of the Hiscount and Hylanian diplomats after unsuccessfully attempted to calm the Vrak teamed up in hopes they might be able to outsmart the evil Vrak as the corrupted mining tribe was tenfold as strong as them in their gear. The Hylanians and Hiscount were pushed into a corner as they slowly lost everything. The Vrak being arrogant decided to send out all their troop at their last capital, which name was lost throughout the ages. The Vrak spent no time strategising and payed no attention to the near cliffs where there downfall would happen from. The Alliance ( The Hylanians and Hiscounts army they had forged together ) had been busy thinking of a plan. As they came up with the strategy of taking the weaker and nimbler Hylanians and putting them on the surronding cliffs with bows as the last precious iron and leather armor was spent on the Hiscount who would confront the Vrak on their front. As the Vrak charged in the night the Hiscount charged their huge bodies soaking damage as the arches struck from afar. As the main prospect of their plan occurred ( A band of Hiscount counter attacking the Vrak from behind ) the Vrak found themselves boxed in as the steep cliffs blocked off any other way of escape. The archers lit fire to their arrows and sent them flying in at the Vrak from both directions many were hit in the back and killed immediately while others where stunned and bashed by the Hiscount. But by no means was this a one sided war as the Vrak took down almost all of the Hiscount and they managed to get a few Vrak on the cliffs where the archers were. The archers being almost defenseless were almosst exterminated. But after six hours of weary battle the few remaining Vrak broke through the thinning lines of Hiscount and retreated. The Alliance had executed the diplomat from the Vrak as he was the one who inspired this civil war. The Vraks government and everything else were to be managed by the Hiscount and Hylanians. The Vrak retreated into the mountains once again digging for us, but now actually being our slaves, the Vrak had become what they fought to not be, As the years passed the whole originating race of humanoids slowly died out as there was a century lasting drought bringing down almost to all structure with it as they were tossed into anarchy. The few remaining of the tribes have had their generations live through the drought, resulting in the few survivors, they all seek to rebuild their ancestors empire. And a certain tribe might be hungry for revenge...

Deep in the icy forest live the 8 feet tall Hiscount. The Hiscount are the more sociable race despite them being 8 feet tall with icy grey skin and cold blue eyes. They are typically found wearing robes and carry a long staff to walk the snowy forests of their homeland. The Hiscount live in relatively large stone homes fashioned with gates instead of a doorway, the building are usually made to be large, and intimidating to passerby and discourage attacks. They hold a sepcial place for their god Braska, God of Water and Fire. To her they hold a sanctuary in The Great Hall where offerings and gifts are presented daily. Despite being a peacful race the Hiscount have a great strength able to knock down any tree with their hammers. They live up to 1000 years old and many can be older. The oldest living Hiscount as of now is Hragthar, the Lord of the Hiscount.

Anyone who lives in the mainlands will tell stories of dark creatures with six legs and empty grey eyes. These stories aren't mere myth, no far from that. These stories tell of the cave people otherwise known as Vrak. Vrak are most known for their fangs, white skin, blind eyes, and most of all their six legs each one allowing it to eat the flesh of the unwary travelling along the path at night. Most Vrak are known to dwell upon the caves, looking for those brave enough to mine. It is not uncommon for Vrak to share their catch with their brothers in fact for Vrak to not share without approval of an elder will result in exile to the outside. They rarely go outside and when they do they wear heavy robes to protect their eyes from the pain of the sun. The Vrak have very low intelligence, sacrificing it for their precious ores and fine tools. The typical Vrak lives to be 300.

Hylanians are the most unusual race. They tend to be short around 3-4 feet tall and their skin can range in colors from dark grey to a flesh color. The Hylanian live in groups and tend to stay where they are most of the time. Hylanian houses are usually in the swamp water and can fit at least two families of four. The Hylanians are often included in clan like activity not hesitating to kill one of their own for the benefit of everyone else. Hylanians travel in groups or alone and travel in the thick forests along roadways to be hidden from Vrak or Hiscount travelling along the road.
