Jun 2, 2011The music makes me very sad and lonely, because to me the tone is quite depressing, I find the nostalgia is way too strong, it reminds me when I was first spawned, and how I walked around the landscape, and the first house I built, and the when I built my first sky view, and when I found a cave that I made my first mine in, and the first time I heard cave noises, and the first time I found lava, and the first desert I saw, and the first workbench I built, and the first furnace I constructed, and the first chest I made, and the first torches I made, and the first chicken I met, and the first time I found iron, and the first time I built a boat, and the first pet pig I had, and the first ocean I saw, and the first monsters I saw, and the first gold I found, and the first bedrock I saw, and the first desert I saw, and the first cobble from water and lava I made...................Posted in: Survival Mode

I'm also experiencing lag since the new updates. My computer isn't "new," but I was able to plat Crysis 2 on it without lag, so minecraft really shouldn't be a problem.
AMD 64x2 3.2 GHz
NVidia Geforce 8800 GTX 756MB
8 GB DDR2 RAM
Java updated, all unneccesary processes ended, firewall down, virus/spyware check run.
The most lacking part of my comp is obviously my processor, but it should still handle minecraft. I will be investigating this further and will let you know what I find.
Ok so I have found that the game is idling at ~20-30% CPU and spikes as high as 50%. The memory usage stays constant at around 820,000K.
Just to tell you, your processor is definitely not lacking, your computer is top spec, I believe that it's just a minecraft issue, because you see big game producers with top quality games that run absolutely smooth on your type of computer, while minecraft shouldn't be graphics intensive, it's coding and the way it was designed still needs to improve, you can understand why the badges alpha and beta and all before them have been kept a rather long time. Expect the game to run much better when the Beta badge has been removed. Also note that the top graphics games are not Java, so minecraft is mainly runs differently in many ways.
May 31, 2011Dmancafe posted a message on how do i make a minecraft mod i really want to make a mob modPeople should stop roaring about this being in the wrong forum, he/she is new here, telling by the post number, and he/she just want's to make a mod, it may be very over optimistic, and he/she didn't know how mods worked, but hey, maybe he/she will strive to learn java programming, and create a mod rivaling mo's creatures in specs, depends on how dedicated he/she is.Posted in: Mods Discussion
May 30, 2011Dmancafe posted a message on how do i make a minecraft mod i really want to make a mob modMaking a mod is not a walk in the park, it's hard, especially mob ones, and since you seem to know very little on creating them, I assume you know nothing about the Java programming language, many people who don't know how to make mods and say they'll make one don't actually manage too, they can make textures, and they say they'll make something cool and uber-complicated, which would take a hardcore modder a lot of time to make, so someone with no experience at all will take a long time, because they'll have to learn the language of Java, or get modders to help, which takes a lot of convincing or even payment. Do you know that once you create a mod you have to update it very frequently, as Notch updates minecraft a lot, you can't just leave it.Posted in: Mods Discussion

Ok. when i try to update minecraft big words pop up that say "failed to launch" if i dont update a huge error messgae pops up. it says to copy and paste it in an email to the support but i cant copy it. ive tried downloading it. ive updated adobe. nothing works and im tired of wasting my time.
DOES ANYONE HAVE THE ANSWER?????
Can you please give more details, like screen shots, because I've never heard of big words popping up saying failed to launch, is it the actual client, or windows posting that? and why are you updating adobe, it's a Java program, do you have java installed, is it the latest version? also, what account do you have? is it premium? please give screenshots.

I posted this in suggestions, not the modding forum.
There's more chances this will be made by modders than added by Notch, because he seems to like keeping minecraft in a old day style, when logs and coal were used as fuel, and people mine with pickaxes and shovels while we use advanced water filtering and ore extraction acid processors.

I have no virus'
All unneeded applications are closed.
I'm using a high performance power plan
I've picked Radeon HD 6770m in switchable graphics menu.
Why am I still experiencing lag or frame skipping when the fps never drops below 70??
Your situation seems very confusing, is your Java version updated? What version of minecraft did you have when all this started? Maybe it's a bug issue, and that'll be extremely bad, if that's the problem, Notch & Mojang might overlook it or take long to fix it. Open task manager and see how much CPU minecraft is using, also how much physical memory it's chewing up. have you run a disk defragment check? I'm really running out of conclusions. Maybe notch's new implementations into loading the chunks might be hurting your computer's performance playing minecraft.
If this issue cannot be solved, and you want to at least find a way to help this issue try the optimine mod when it has updated to the current version, ,maybe the CAF-mod will help, though it also is outdated and it might not work on your system because all I've heard is that it's for integrated graphics, which your computer beats by a lot. I just don't understand why your computer is showing lag at all, your computer specs seems to high enough to run fraps and minecraft on top graphics levels.

do you consider it cheating?
I think that it defeats the purpose of the game a little bit, yes i still have to kill spiders for string (that is kind of worthless after about 5 string) and creepers for gunpowder, but now there is no need to go kill a zombie or a skeleton because i have unlimited supplies of bows and bones
It's not cheating at all, it's ingenuity, it's adding technology to the game, sometimes it takes a long time to make a mob trap, some even have a full world mob trap delivery system, people who care more about redstone and designing systems build these contraptions, while people who go outside and risk their life to kill creepers and are willing to have a thrill decide to go collecting the items the normal way.
May 30, 2011So you are trying to get a minecraft account (premium), good luck, but I suggest you warn people about the link, because people might get annoyed you're not telling what the link is for and it ends up your just trying to get people to gain you an account, some might think your trying to trick them to coming on there, you should say that you really want to play minecraft and ask nicely to the reader if they could just click the link to help.Posted in: Discussion
(p.s. the website the link goes to looks really phony, I'm starting to think your doing this for another purpose)
May 29, 2011The skin (dark magician girl) is a bit too complicated to be made within minecraft's blocky and pixelated dimension, pocahontas is simple, just make a request at a skin shop, or pm a skinner to get it made.Posted in: Skins
