ive started 3 games one xbox one just to be sure but whenever I get animals into a pen which ive secured with 2 high fence all around all my animals are despawning. anyone having this?

The best thing to do with sheep that I've found is to put one sheep in a 3x3 pen where he only has one block from which to eat. Wolves can't spawn as there is no room. grass will regrow from the grass blocks under fence. This is how I have my colored sheep. You can add about 3 rings around all this with a block of your choice and put a fence around that and you shouldn't have a problem with wolves. I had a pen double fortified at one time, but I suppose a wolf spawned inside the pen and took care of all my sheep. Same with my rabbits. Won't have rabbits on a grass floor again. If you want to breed sheep you can double fence a pen, but I wouldn't use grass as the base. Just don't shear them or they won't regrow wool.

Not sure if this has been mentioned.....

    1) sheep are still despawning. I had some pink sheep and they despawned. Love being able to breed sheep of different colors without having to make dyes for all of them!

    2) having a problem with animals getting stuck in corners of pens. They won't move, and have had a couple sheep stuck together in a corner after breeding.

If an animal can't move more than 20 blocks, it can't despawn.

You obviously haven't played for a while....I've had sheep vanishing for months in a pen that's like 5x5. I hope that may be fixed now with the new update, but we'll see.

As for wolves, they kill only sheep. Tame five or six of the stupid things and shove them somewhere out of the way so they can't be seen or heard and no more should spawn.

I might have to try this.....getting tired of killing the stupid things.

I honestly think its because regardless of what you want, Certain animals always need to be on top of Dirt/Grass Blocks to stay.

Um, NO. I have my animals on dirt/grass, and they disappear when I get away from them. Sucks to breed different colored sheep and they end up disappearing. It's just a bug, hope it gets fixed soon.

Maybe I'm lost here......why not keep a couple of white sheep around and shear them?

You can make white wool with string from spiders too, right?

posted a message on My Baby Chickens Die in Water in Chicken Farm.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or what.....I've done the chicken in the water thing back in like TU8 or 10....worked like a champ. When I built the one you're referring to, my chickens did the same thing as yours. I need to check if there is a bug reported on this, perhaps it needs to be posted.
EDIT: from the wiki, ADULT chickens can swim in water, BABY chicks can drown. So looks as if you need to somehow lure your adults up to the top of your container and shove them into the water.

If you're down digging tunnels below y=40 and you happen to run across a slime, then yes you can just open up a room. No need to go more than 3 high.
If you look at one of the slime finders and find a chunk, you can narrow down your room more.....but you also need to light up caves around that area all the way up to surface I think.

Curious, can you make an infinite lava source the same way you can with water? I've never tried before but just got this idea. :P

No. Lava doesn't go infinite like water. Would be nice though!

PixelDaisies is spot on. I've done the same as the advice they've given.

Also, grab some flowers and make different dyes....yellow, red, orange. If you have killed some skeletons and have bones, you can make pink with the bone meal. Go kill a squid for an ink sac for black. I think cocoa beans makes brown dye(just read that in the wiki a few days ago). Breed sheep, and dye different colors. I like 2 of each, that way you can breed more of a color you want. Take some stacks of dyed wool with you in caves. When they start branching off you can get turned around, but if you dig a hole and put wool in it's place, you can have a trail to find your way out. When a cave branches off, use different colored wool.

posted a message on Do the Slim Chunk finders still work? Recommend a good chunk finder?
there was a good post about with a tutorial.....dang if I can find it......the search function either sucks or I don't know what I'm doing.
I believe I use Chunk Base. I think they all basically work the same, enter your seed, click submit. It will list the slime chunks, you may have to select XBOX to drill it down to our world size. Start from your location in your world that you want to look around per your map, go to that general location on the chunk finder and locate a sizable slime chunck. Jot down the corner coordinates and then go to those on your world. Dig down to about level 12(or farther if your risky) and dig out the chunk 3 blocks high at least. Light it up, (I like to use jack-o-lanterns in the floor spaced about 5 blocks apart or so), then maybe did up to make sure you don't have any caves above. When you come back, hopefully you have some slimes. Try to find a couple chunks together so you have a better chance.
I found 4 chunks somewhat together, 3 were connected and one off diagonal, sharing one corner. Problem is there is HUGE mineshaft above me I'm going to have to light up, and it connects to the mineshaft/stronghold I found in a ravine. That's going to be LOADS of fun!
Hope all that helps. Maybe someone can locate the Tutorial. Might check the PC forums, they may have it stickied.

I found and enchanted book in desert temples, and the Minecraft Wiki says you can find them in desert temples. So you can.

Just so you know, the Minecraft Wiki is based more on the PC version, and not so much on the Xbox360 version. So while a lot of the information is now in the console versions, the wiki isn't always the greatest thing to quote.

posted a message on WWhat ur favorite texture pack?
I like the natural pack, have started using the city pack. I like what they have done with some things, not so sure about others. Really like the cobblestone texture the city has. The black wool looking a bit brickish may make a good road, and the gravel has a nice texture too. The smoothness of the stone takes a bit of getting used to in survival worlds, but in creating buildings it looks good. Haven't used fantasy or plastic yet.
