posted a message on Endermen and Villages
Since Endermen take and move blocks which were randomly generated by the world gen, does that mean they would sometimes take the wood and stone of NPC villages, creating large holes in the houses?

Not only villages, there might be a rare chance they spawn in abandoned mine-shafts or strongholds, will they also take away blocks such as wood or the stone, (or the iron bars in the strongholds)?

I'm pretty sure that the armor meter will be above the health bar like how the oxygen meter is above the hunger bar.

Oh, I VERY much hope so. I really, really enjoy exploring and finding neat, fun places to explore. A good new addition (with bosses) would be a Dragon's Den, containing a fairly vast Cavern with a Dragon-boss and 'treasure' at the end. Notch has confirmed he wants Dragons, and this setup would make them very difficult to find, yet very fun and challenging to deal with too.

Possibly Adding 'ancient temples' and such other things to play on the lore of the civilization that came before, and the 'Darkness' (the 'entity' which creates monsters) would be a good step forward too, yet being extremely vague, but it makes you think and ponder...

To expand on that dragon-den idea, why not have the dens connected to the side of a volcano when they're added?

The bigger the update, the longer it'll take to fix all the bugs. So splitting the update in 2 will result in having less bugs that can be fixed quickly and easily.

Although this seems like a nice and dandy server, don't forget to put the thread in the right section next time.

I also think he should PUT IT IN THE RIGHT FREAKING SECTION.

You shouldn't get angry at him, he's obviously new to the forums.

Not to be mean, but you should make a better OP to make this threadworthy.

For example, add what the server is about, who owns it, what plugins, etc.

Also, wrong section, this kind of thread needs to be in the server section.

    Quote from Jdeyoda »
My theory was that certain mobs have certain numbers. I'm guess pigs have low numbers and cows start in the 2000s. I think that seems much more likely, as the mob spawn algorithm wouldn't have had enough time to try and generate 2000 other mobs before that one.

I think the mob spawn algorithm would randomly generate a location and check the map if a block is there or not, it might go through a couple hundred to even thousands until it would find the correct conditions for the mob to spawn.

Press F3 while looking at a pig, he now has a number that you can name him by. Some people think it's random numbers that appear, but I have a different idea on those numbers. See, when I created a new world today, I saw 3 pigs in my chunk, I pressed F3 and they were numbered 1,2 and 3. All in order that they rendered when I generated the world. But then a cow came along with a number in the 2000s. I don't think 2000 comes after 3 so I have a theory on why their numbers are random. There are the mobs you see normally, and the "invisible" mobs. Invisible mobs would be mobs that would spawn in unusual places, and instantly be deleted afterwards. These places would be inside rock and dirt, or in the air like layer 128. The normal mobs are those who normally spawned on ground after thousands of "invisible" mobs tries, note the random numbers above their head. So that means the cow I saw in my game was the only one in the chunk after 2000 other mobs that spawned that spawned normally. The three pigs that are 1, 2 and 3? Pure luck, that's what I say.

I hope this helps people understand how the mobs spawn and what's up with their numbers, and soon help on ways by finding slimes.

Results from test #15: forward: 59 blocks, vertical: 15 blocks "+/- 3 blocks" But somehow it destroyed the cannon... (it was made out of stone)... so now i will build it out of obsidian so i will never have that problem.
PS: the test number is no joke... it was test #15 on cannon #7

Show some pics? I've been trying to come up with a good design but they all fail :Pig:
