Just realized that Forge FINALLY came out with a release that mod devs can use for anything higher than 1.6.4. I'll start working on a new version ASAP. Thanks for the patience.
I hope everybody is enjoying the Rotten Flesh to Leather Mod. I do have plans to update to 1.7.2 as soon as I can. Please bear in mind, I will have to wait until the forge team puts out an api for 1.7.2. We'll get there soon. Patience is a virtue.
I recompiled, reobfuscated and reuploaded the mod for version 1.5.2. If you were having troubles with the mod not working as expected, please try the newest link and if that does not work, try updating forge to the most recent release (as they update it regularly).
Provided that you know how to use forge with your server for multiplayer, I would assume the mod should work for the multiplayer server as well. However, I have not tried it, so I do not know for sure.
I have a slight issue that I'm hoping someone can help me with. Please?
When I smelt my Rotten Flesh, I get Bonemeal. I'm unable to find a .cfg for the mod, so I can't change IDs in that file. Can someone direct me to the file(s) that I can edit to get the leather to be the end product?
Thank you!!
Are you using a mod or modpack that changed your item IDs? If not, I'll check into it. It should only be giving leather for smelting.
The version for 1.5.1 most likely works for 1.5.2 as well. If it doesn't, there are others who have mods with similar functionality that are updated for 1.5.2.
DOUBLE BARF
Nvidia has no good price-performance cards this gpu generation, so go with amd.
Let's face it. AMD is cheap and it's cheap for a reason. If you want something powerful enough to work and to work for more than a couple months you'll want to go with nvidia. Though they may be more expensive, you will get better quality hardware and you won't have to do external research to figure out if what AMD is telling you they have on their card is actually what they are selling. All professional gamers use nvidia and any computer enthusiast will tell you nvidia is infinitely better than AMD. I don't think I would trust someone with "Troll" in their name about their opinion.
You'll have to be specific with the other specs of the computer to get a good idea of what gpu will work best with the computer. If cost wasn't an issue, I'd say a GTX Titan - pretty good card. However, I will say go with nvidia and put more into the gpu than $100. You'll get much better performance.
Not vegetarian. I enjoy the taste of meat too much. I also don't want to have to worry about my protein intake seeing as I don't like beans. Tofu is basically out and eggs aren't super healthy to eat all the time. It's just an overall better choice for my own happiness.
Glad to see this back. Thanks for this mod. Sorry you were pulled over by the minecraft police.
Hey, thanks for the support! I noticed the old thread as well, but it wasn't updated, so I made an update for 1.5.1. I've got an idea of something else to do with rotten flesh, but it'll take some time for me to get around to actually making it - as I have classes that take priority. Until then, enjoy the rotten flesh to leather.

Don't worry. I'll be updating the mod as soon as the API is updated for 1.5.2.

To be fair, that happened after I posted this one. Either way, we both have a post. Not really necessary to start a flame war over it.
