Looking forward to the re-make of VF I when it comes as I didn't play it the first time around!

Glad to hear you are reinvigorated with CTM map making, Three_two. :)

Yeah man congrats, I need to update the OP so I will get to that as soon as I can!

    Thanks Three_two. Much appreciated!

I'm going to be updating the first two VF maps to work with all the new features and mechanics of modern minecraft as well as adjust the style of play to the way I feel a CTM map should play.

    Excellent news. :)

Forty-two videos later and I've finally managed to finish my Vinyl Fantasy II play through!

Here is a link to my final video:

Here is the playlist for my VFII videos: Vinyl Fantasy II playlist

Thank you to Three_two for creating a really memorable and enjoyable Minecraft experience. I've really enjoyed the map and will look forward to future maps from you!

I give some thoughts and analysis about the map in my final video. Overall, I thought this was an excellent map, good level of challenge, some really epic areas and great designs.

I think my favourite areas were Area 3 in the over world, Wave of Mutilation and Zombaville in the Nether, Transparency and Enemy Mines in the End. I didn't dislike any area particularly but I did have a tough time in the Great Architect area as I was very confused about what I was supposed to do.

I should mention that I also loved how the map used all three realms in Minecraft adding different challenges for each intersection (i.e. no water in the Nether and Endermen in the End). Also, I really love the emphasis on survival and exploration in VFII. I liked that I was supposed to farm and work for things and I really enjoyed exploring places and looking for loot and useful resources.

Three_two, is there any chance I could be added to the opening post as someone who has done a complete play through? That would be totally awesome!

My first video of VFII is here -
Here is my playlist of VFII videos so that I can be added to the 'completed' list along with Brian and Simon (which would make me super proud!) - http://www.youtube.c...C4589706058864F

And my channel is here - http://www.youtube.com/user/CrouchyLP

    Thanks! :)

With Vechs' maps, your very first startup of a map is always interesting, since you can soak in the atmosphere and style the world has. It's a wondrous "Oh, what's that structure in the distance ? Where will I get to when I go down here ?" beginning of the journey.

What like Waking Up where you have to run through a cave of mobs and then try to get your opening resources from places that are mostly trapped either with TNT or creeper spawners? :D Or Kaizo Caverns, where you have to make your way through a cavern full of lava and mobs before you can get any resources? Or Spellbound Caves, where you are in a big Cenote full of mobs? Or Sea of Flame, where the first tree you go to has a skeleton spawner and the first loot chest a blaze spawner? Or Canopy Carnage... or.... well, I could continue, but basically most of the Vechs maps! He's always trying to kill you straight away. There isn't much soaking up atmosphere in any of the Vechs maps I've played because he is out to kill you from the beginning just like Three Two is on VFII.

And it's not fair either. :D Maps in this style are meant to be hard and unfair. You're supposed to die and have a difficult time from the very start and if that upsets you, you should probably try something else instead. However, you're missing out on a great map if you're going to stop playing just because the start is a bit difficult.

    My Channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/CrouchyLP

I've been a Minecraft addict since Beta 1.6 and still going strong!

My channel is devoted to my adventures in Minecraft. I'll be doing speed challenges, making the odd video about my worlds and tackling some Vechs maps! In other words, lots of Minecraft adventuring!

I've just started up my Vinyl Fantasy II play through again after a little break due to real life stuff getting in the way.

    Here is my latest video:

It has been a while but I'm back with more Vinyl Fantasy II on HARD mode.

Sorry for the delay between video 27 and 28. There will now be Vinyl Fantasy II videos every other day until this series comes to a close!

Vinyl Fantasy is a Complete The Monument style custom map series where the objective is to find hidden records (music disks) and return them to a JukeBox Monument. The Jukebox Monument is connected to an automated lighting system that will light up and lead you out with a victory tune by C418! These maps remain true to Minecraft's survival mechanics while adding a high level of difficulty, a list of objectives and an ultimate goal for the player.

Here is a link to the map details plus a download - http://www.minecraft...fantasy-series/

I'm using the Lights Out mod, which is needed to play this map. See here - http://www.minecraft...-lighting-bugs/

Really looking forward to testing my Minecraft skills on this map made by Three_Two!

If you haven't seen any of my Vinyl Fantasy II videos so far then here is the up-to-date playlist: http://www.youtube.c...C4589706058864F

I won't be linking each video in this thread but I'll basically be putting up a video every other day until I (hopefully) successfully complete Vinyl Fantasy II so feel free to check my channel for future vids: http://www.youtube.com/user/CrouchyLP

I love finding dungeons and I've always wanted to find a double dungeon! This is a Minecraft first for me so I thought I would share on the forum. :)

Anyone else found a double dungeon like this before? Or maybe something even more awesome than this? Please let me know in this thread!
