I'm not sure about natural nether portals, the wiki for minecraft is notoriously wrong...on just about everything.
Occasionally portals can be found in the normal world that you didn't place. This happens because when you create a portal to the nether it attempts to create one in an equivalent location in the nether. But sometimes this isn't possible (like in the middle of a lava lake) so the game moves the portal location somewhere else in the nether and creates it there. Then it creates a matching portal in the normal world that links directly to the location of the shifted one in the nether. Both portals in the overworld, the one you created and the one you didn't, should go to the same place in the nether unless you find the real location your original portal should be in the nether and create one there. Then they'll each link to separate portals.
Thats some very interesting information, and it makes a lot of sense. Thank you :smile.gif:
It is also possible that portals get generated with the map. They are usually in dungeons but it is possible to find a portal in an underground cave or even above water level.
I was just exploring and I found a portal to the nether, I did not make it, I was pretty far from my base, is this normal? is portals suppose to generate ?
Have you disabled the horde of useless background running programs that come with vista? Think about things you disabled in the past (if anything) and disable them again. They are probably stealing valuable resources.
Try using gamebooster see if that helps.
Wow, Gamebooster worked! I've been trying to fix this for a month, now it starts up in 1 second instead of 20-30, thanks a lot man <3
I click on Minecraft it goes to the login screen, I log in then it goes to the purple Mojang Specifications screen and freezes for like 20 seconds, then finally starts up, I know 100% this isn't normal and I want to fix it, its really frustrating, please help, thanks
This is amazing, only think I don't like is that you cant see through the doors, but you couldn't in Wind Waker either so thats alright, and when will you have the clock working?
