    No. You are quite wrong. MOST mods DO NOT have ports. Trust me, I should know. I work at MC Port Central, I know how this works. Mods are still played just as much without bukkit ports. Having a bukkit port just allows for easier convience.

    NO, the versions we were using for 1.4.2 are VERY VERY outdated in comparison to the dev version released for 1.4.2

    No, its not suggesting anything, you are only reading into it to fit your needs/wants. The changelog is providing a history of what has occurred between the last release, which was 1.3.2, and the current dev release, which is for 1.4.5. That in no way means it is backward compatible with a version it went through.

They can be found at #ForgeEssentials on Esper.net.

    That mod pretty much negates the need for bukkit.

    Well, I actually work over at MC Port Central. I can tell you, as of now, I do not believe the MCPC Bukkit build will be update past 1.4.2. With that said, we will be releasing for 1.4.5, so I cannot back port the mod to 1.4.2 for a bukkit port. I'm sorry.

    The restructuring is almost complete. The rewrite of many places... is not near completion. Also, we will have to finish a few features that weren't fully implemented into the mod before spitfire stopped developing.

    Dont worry guys. We ARE working on it, we are working as fast as possible.

    Just want to put this out there: That is a dev build that is many revisions behind the current code base. I cannot stress how far behind that build is.

    If I may interject here:

    The mod's name change was presented unto SpitFire. He gave it the ok due to "Trains and Zeppelin mod" being a long and complicated name. It was by his authority that the name was changed. This was not forced, it as something he decided on.

    As I stated, currently I have documented close to 40 bugs. This is before even looking at the bug list on the wiki. These bugs were straight from the developer himself. I've also had other bug reports in the last few days. Many of these bugs are game-breaking bugs. I know from personal use that there are MANY MANY more than 40 bugs, I just have not had the time to document every single bug as of yet.

    As I state in the IRC log, I do not like releasing broken products. Yes, it is true, I dont want to release it, but not just because my name is attached to it, but because I respect SpitFire more than to release his mod in such a condition. It would be a disgrace to release the mod, broken as it is, to you users. It would mean that we didnt care about our work, nor SpitFire's, nor how it would negatively effect you all and your worlds.

    No, I do not in anyway say that we plan to wait for a bugless release. A dev release will come out before an official release, to gather information on residual bugs. As of current, the mod has is being heavily restructured to provide efficiency and hopefully preventative measures against new bugs. If I gave you the mod as it stands right now, it would not load, and your minecraft would crash.

    Now. Besides that, stating that you plan to circumvent the developers that SpitFire has in-place to develop for him while he is gone, to release an unofficial version, don't you believe that is a disgrace to SpitFire's opinions? His trust?

    I have experience working personally with SpitFire on this mod and would be more than happy to help. I see that you have access to the repo because of your fork, if you check the commits, you will see me there. I've experience with the code base and I am the coder that has created the bukkit port. If you want/would let me, I would like to work with you on this as I did with SpitFire.
