    Morning all.

Was joking around with the woman, when i put this seed in:

mawomancooksancleans : This puts you close to an epic mountain range, water village nearby, and surface lava pit.

Carlsberg : Epic mountains and desert with surface lava pit. Mountains are full of huge arches and waterfalls.

    Morning James.

    Took your survey.

I would change it a little bit.

Question 5: do you have pleasant dreams / nightmares / others (specify)

If you type in the other (specify box) then it wont let you finish the quiz.

Change question 5 to be pleasant/nightmare/mixed with mixed having a button of its own.

Other than that, nice mix of questions.

    Good luck with it!

    On a scale of 0 to 10.

    My life is 9/10

Great management job earning a good salary.
Happy stable family with regular activities together.
Beautifull girldfriend who's clever, funny, cooks, cleans, and is great in the sack.
Several fun hobbies in which i am doing well.
Good friends i meet up with on a regular basis.
I travel abroad frequently, up to 35+ countries now.

I have a bit of back pain from now to then hence the 9/10.

    Other than that I'm happy.

posted a message on If you were able to make a video game.
    A Roman legion simulator.

I would be looking for a post-Marius reforms Roman Legion Sim.

Accurate from legate-tribune-campprefect-centurions-optios, etc. Cohorts, appropriate auxiliaries, etc.

I would like to see some micromanagement of both standing and marching camps. The following of centurions through local towns as they try to recruit new troops. Full training etc, with appropriate bonuses given to swordcraft, stamina, drill, etc.
Control of battles utilising the full legion and support, cohort battles, century skirmishes etc. With proper accurate battle tactics such as "rotating the maniples" etc.

I would want to see personalities imparted on individual soldiers, such that as the legion goes through the various campaigns, people would get killed off and soldiers would move up through the ranks.

Essentially i want to be able to control a Roman Legion, as accurately as possible.

posted a message on Force-updating chunks?
    Evening all.

I have a small server that i use for myself and a few friends.

I have heard tell that the only way to get chunks to update, say, from 1.0 to 1.1 is to delete the world and create a new one.

Is this correct, or is there any way to force the already created chunks to update to 1.1?

The majority of the chunks in my server are in 1.7 mode, and i'm missing the 1.1 goodness.

Cheers for any and all help.

posted a message on Why do YOU hate MCBans?
    OP,

Depends what your definition of "for no reason" is.

The way i see it, getting banned from one server, well, maybe I'd give you another chance.
But more than that and its you who ****ed up, not the admins.

By the way, I'm preemptively banning you from my server, just in case. (i don't use mcbans, but you come across as a bad egg.

posted a message on Is College Even Necessary for a "Career"?
I'm not bothered pulling up the proof, but anyway here goes.

Those with further education have, on average, a higher income and are unemployed less often than those who only did the bare minimum.

This becomes more true with each additional step in higher education. Cert-diploma-degree-masters-phd, etc.

posted a message on The lost, amazing Minecraft 'feel'.
    Big danger i would say.

Minecraft became popular for being unique and quirky.
For having basic terains and few but iconic enemies, etc etc etc.

The more features that get added, the more this is beginning to feel like a regular "game", and i'm sorry, but for a well rounded "game" feel, there are far better ones out there. Skyrim anyone?

I would prefer that they cut back the features, and preserve minecraft in the form that it originally became famous for.
This business of trying to turn it into a real game and compete with others is only going to come back to haunt them.

Not what you were looking for, but you are going to need gameplay testers. It is far better to have a third person perspective, and definitely not have those coding/building the game also doing the bug testing.
I've seen far too often game developers getting rose tinted goggles and failing to spot or acknowledge faults in their game.

    Hoping to hear from you.
