Wow, I took a look around today. You have some amazing builds on there! Community seemed nice too. Was there a tutorial on chat commands that I missed? I'm usually pretty good about reading all that stuff first.
This has probably been asked before but I didn't come up with an answer when I Googled it.....Can you deactivate the end portal once all the eyes of ender are put in? I broke all the bricks in creative trying to close it and that didn't work. Maybe I'm missing something?
yea im actually working on an adventure style map using some of my steam punk designs. airships. gears. etc.... its called steam powered colossus. fitting since the pinnacle of the map will be a large steam powered robot left in ruin after some great war or disaster.
cant wait to see yours. let me know if u need any help.
I will want to see your steampunk theme. Your airships are awesome! Next time I see you online, I'll send over an invite. There isn't much built up yet but there are some things to play around with and I'm still working on trying to get the right balance of what to put in chests. I don't want to make it too easy but don't want players to just get all frustrated either.
well if u do get a ONE they are still disussind moving maps from the 360 to the ONE. and trust me if they don't plenty of people (including me)will still be playing minecrack on the 360 for love of our original worlds.
Thanks man! After seeing what you've been up to lately I can understand why your world isn't going anywhere.
I recently came across adventure maps and played a couple to my great enjoyment. Just when I thought I was out...Minecraft sucked me back in!!!!
It gave me LOTS of ideas for creating an adventure map of my own so I'll probably end up spending the rest of my life completing it but that doesn't sound so weird when shared here amongst my fellow addicts. Then there is the Xbox One dilemma to consider so far as inviting players to come and play when I'm doing this on the 360.
An enchanted bow might be nice and most certainly a pickaxe. Is there a story leading up to the battle that the player might already have some armor to go to the end in?
wait.. vivamommy. i was wondering where you had been. lol. apparently crocheting... had to finish your glass lava lighthouse on my world. which has changed quite a bit.
man iim almost never bored. though i do a lot of mega builds and they take up qute a bit of time and i have very little so usually i end up spending like maybe a fw hours a day if im lucky minerafting. and i always have more and more ideas like im currently working on a battleship game with a game board and exploding sound affects when you hit a ship. thats a sde project away from my main world where theres a giant game of thrones style castle. a steam punk world and a few other areas.
Yeah, I dropped off xbox entirely for awhile and I am sorry I didn't finish that building, I try to be better than that. lol I'm surprised you're still working on the same world though. I'll have to hop on over and take a look. I'm still a Minecraft tourist!
Not sure what you are asking here. If you are interested in getting your world recorded for free there was a guy awhile back who was doing that in exchange for youtube subscribers. Let me see if I still have his handle. You could contact him and see if he is still doing it.
I went through this same thing awhile back and took 6 months off from the game and came back to find out that it had changed quite a lot. I just started up another world to check out the crafting and alchemy aspects of things and the fortresses and stuff. It helped because I had done everything I could think of doing in my previous world and then some. It really helped make the game exciting again and made playing by myself okay again.
AND...in the 6 months I took off I ended up landscaping the backyard and putting in a garden and learned how to crochet at something other than a beginner level. Totally worth Minecraft abstinence.
I feel your pain. My main world, the one that sucked up inordinate amounts of time is now a snow biome pretty much everywhere. I'm still trying to decide how much of a problem this is for me. It's very inconvenient in my harbor and park areas as all of that water is slowly freezing over.
Dude.....That just sucks! (And is a good reminder to all of us to make sure we save and save often!) LOL I've been guilty of working on something for hours and not saving it. Only once (and there is when I learned my lesson) did I walk away from the Xbox with the intention of coming back to it only to not have that happen and I got hit with auto shutoff. >.<
Lately, I'm forum stalking. I'm getting tired of all the digging and mining and resource collecting to build. I'm thinking I'll just switch to creative when it gets here because I don't really want to have to start all over again in a new world. My current world is pretty developed and full of resources and food. Just don't feel like giving that up.

Do they have to be gravity blocks like sand or will any block work? Also, can I rebuild the portal after destroying it?

Do you have some pictures up in another thread maybe that we can see? I'd love to see it.
