While I would never steal like that, I do have some ideas of how you could be more stealthy:
-When you can, try to walk on quieter blocks instead of crunching over dirt or gravel.
-If you know what you're heading after, try breaking the chest so it doesn't make as loud of a sound. Don't attempt this if the chest is protected by some plugin.
-To avoid immediate detection of theft, steal an unnoticeable amount of items from chests.
I often find great architectural designs when working on other things (or vice versa), like redstone wiring or building traps. By the way, what texture pack is that? It looks similar to SphaxBD :).
Minecraft is a game about building whatever you want. It's a sandbox game with no restrictions, so the worst thing mojang could add is... restrictions to gameplay, like not being able to break certain blocks or something.
I agree; having to work to do something isn't bad, but if you can only do it in one specific way it can be difficult and annoying.
I have a lot of textures, but I only use them for taking pictures or when I want inspiration for something to build. The one texture pack that I've found that I can truly play survival with, and have a hard time playing without, is the Antvenom pack. All it changes is the GUI and grass color, but it makes a HUGE difference.
So strange. Every snapshot I play has NO LAG whatsoever.
I honestly can't see the issue, and many people reporting lag have better computers than I do.
I have the same kind of experience; it's hard to discuss the quality of Minecraft when something like this pops up.
You call them dumb for stating their opinion yet you state your opinion. They don't like the game.
Stating your opinion is perfectly fine, even encouraged in some places, when appropriate. Trying to force your opinion onto others to make them feel inferior to you, and telling people to stop doing something simply because it will eventually end is something that I believe is immature and selfish.
The fact that snow doesn't melt doesn't mean wood shouldn't burn. Wood does burn in Minecraft, so objects that are wood should be able to burn as well. I really don't see anything unreasonably limiting in this change, so I'm fine with it.
Can anybody get a screenshot of it? I just want to know what it looks like in-game. I'm really hoping this could lead to more block/object-placement possibilites :).
I don't think every sound should be used, but I would one that would play when you look at an Enderman. It would let you confirm that you actually did look at one and that it will be coming for you, an it would add suspense as you look at it.
