posted a message on HD skin question
Sorry, minecraft doesn't let you upload skins larger than 64x32, but if you replace the default.png texture in a texture pack with your custom texture, and play with the default skin, you'll look like the custom HD texture.

posted a message on [1.2.5] Water Shader alpha v5b
Appears to conflict with somnia/risugami's mod loader, but that's their problem. I'm never giving up this water. Keep up the good work! Ijyt, I think texture packs can do that, I'll be taking a crack at it, because it annoys me too.

Edit: Heh, nevermind, it appears the water still uses some type of fog, and I dont know how to change that, carry on.

posted a message on [Update! (3/28)] Bordercraft ver.1.5
I love the texture pack, but I have noticed the 1.8 problems. The chest textures (Or atleast large chest texture) are a little off center (The top part and the latch on it atleast), the food meter is surrounded by pink scraps, all of the mob textures appear to be a smaller size than your last version's, the xp bar is uneven (On the end sides, the black part is larger on the left), and the health bar no longer looks as it should since the addition of multiple heart colors, not really an error, but it still needs to be tweaked. Again, I love the texture pack, and I'm only posting these to try and help. (I have the most recent version of mcpatcher, and all other 1.8 texture packs work for fine for me.)

I've always prefered the down and dirtiness of having to build a camp yourself, but I can see where people would want this.

Yes, 1.8 pre-release has tons of bugs, it's always good to hear about them, but make sure they're in the right place. (I wont steal your job anymore. XD)

Yes, I'd imagine this will be fixed in the official release, but if it isnt, this will annoy me.

posted a message on [myth busted] Enderman can pick up ANY block
If they can pick up bedrock, then I'd say Notch simply hasnt added their restrictions to the pre-release, although, if they can still pick it up after the official update, I'll be right alongside you guys.

posted a message on How does 1.8 reward "exploration"?
    Quote from VileAssassin

Not everyone is the perfect adventurer and some people are just paranoid about it. You shouldn't expect everyone to be super prepared. Even more importantly you shouldn't expect everyone to need to make a farm and spend several minecraft days planning before embarking in a serious adventure.

A single cooked porkchop can (And almost always does, if it fills your hunger meter) last a full ingame day/night cycle. Not to mention how many pigs you encounter when running around out there, as well as chickens and cows now dropping food. And food being stackable. Wait, what was so hard about the update again?

posted a message on How does 1.8 reward "exploration"?
I found a mineshaft with a diamond, iron ingots, redstone, and bread, in just one of the many chest through out a cave I'm exploring, seems extremely rewarding to me. (I used to stay near home, now I'm traveling every day, so it's working for me.) And about food making you less likely to travel, you must not be doing something right. If you fill up your hunger meter with cooked food, it will take a full ingame day for it to begin to drop again, allowing you to explore with just a couple cooked porkchops.

Edit: Also, dont forget about fishing, but I do hope animals spawn like normal in the full version, this totally stinks, good luck finding food in multiplayer.

posted a message on New tree bug ?
Endermen move blocks around, and seem to prefer messing with trees, so this is more than likely what you're finding. If you find any true bugs, please post them in this topic: Regarding 1.8 Pre-release

posted a message on Regarding 1.8 Pre-Release [Version 2 Released]
I would love to see more strongholds per world, seeing as I havent found a single one. I've found only 1 abandoned mine, so I think they're rare enough. I agree that chasms/canyons could be a little less common, I've found about 5 so far. NPC villages are probably fine in my opinion, I've found 2 so far. I just want to see trees planted in swamp biomes grow back right, or perhaps a new type of tree for swamp biomes. (Weeping willow?) Also, Endermen dont seem to try and attack me when they're holding a block, making them harmless 2/3's of the time. Other than that, I like what I see!

My favorite texture pack, cant wait for the 1.8 version! I'd also like to see you take on the main menu and paitings, if it's not too much. Keep up the good work!

posted a message on Lava Boat!
Netherrack is in high quantity and is incredibly easy to gather, I feel like again coal might be the way to go, seeing as this would limit how often the boat could be used, forcing players to occasionally leave their comfort zone and run through pigmen infected mazes. I figure being able to break it yourself would be fairly useless, since you cant pull it out of the lava, and everything it drops when destroyed would be burnt, but still, it's a good way to remove it if need be.

posted a message on Curious About Endermen
Well, the other mobs are scary 'looking', but their mechanics are robotic, walk at you and attack, where as the Endermen will operate in a fairly different way. I'm sure Notch has tons of cool things planned, but other than what we already know, we'll mostly have to guess. You also have a great point, all mobs drop something unique when killed, it will be interesting to see what they drop when killed.

posted a message on Minecraft has crashed
Are your graphics drivers up to date, and do you have the newest version of java? Have you tried playing it on minecraft.net? Have you tried running it as administrator? And lastly, does your computer account name have any special characters in it? (Sorry about all the questions, but these will help us help you.)
