    Indeed, although I'd prefer if they worked like the Node-in-a-Jar -- would make for more interesting gameplay in my opinion... also a wand focus seems pretty cheap for such a mighty tool.

    Here's still hoping for an updated version of this mod, because frankly, Mojang's implementation is light years behind this. Bookshelves that work, coloured book covers, and (hopefully again soon), pictures!

I think if days and nights were longer, they'd actually be more meaningful, in that it would make more sense to actually cease your day's work and take the hike down to your mine, go hunting monsters, or whatever I do at night...

    I've suggested a longer and/or configurable day length ("day" as in "one revolution of the planet") many times for vanilla MC, and still have some hope that some day Jeb (or whoever is MC's lead developer by that time...) will implement this properly (with all implications this has for redstone, plant growth, etc.)
    Until then I'll just continue hating the switch-tasks-every-ten-minutes cycle.

    I absolutely agree though that moving one's spawn point should be more involved than "three-sheep, a tree, and a right click".

    It was Notch who said it couldn't/shouldn't be done; others demonstrated it can be done, and how.

    I guess that's it then for having Robinton's quasi-unlimited map height in Vanilla. Seems like the Mojangles stick to their play-it-safe limited map height (well, yeah, double... woohoo. 256m "mountains", I'm so excited). It's not for me to decide their business strategy, but if I were them, I'd see to finishing the modding API instead of replicating work that has been done by the modding community, and better. Come to think of it... seems like what happened with pistons back when...

    Keep your books in a safe place, and only have copies in your library. That wouldn't prevent anybody from intentionally altering the contents (which would affect all copies, including the "original"), but a book won't be lost completely if someone accidentally drops it.

    Edit to prevent any possible confusion:
    currently "someone" means "you", as this mod is still single player only.

    Excellent news! Are you going the ModloaderMP route then? The Forge might be worth looking into as well... might help to get rid of the iz.class dependency.
