posted a message on Handling of Villages

if they're are a couple in a house I just cobble up the door and leave them till I need them. To be honest though, with the way chunks freeze in time when you get out of range, it isn't really an issue anyway unless your base is right next to the village.

posted a message on A Generalized method of farming I can't help but notice

I do, always have done. You'll also probably find it easier to place lily pads over the water so you don't fall in whilst farming. Even easier and more efficient, just place your farm on the block above water, then you don't need any holes for water.

posted a message on How about a "Better Together" update that is actually "Better together"?

and that's exactly what better together does. I can play on my xbox with friends on pc win10 and mcpe. If you're playing java edition then you cant play cross platform, it's a different game entirely. I thought this was fairly well understood now?

posted a message on Stop Complaining

I think (and I can only speak for myself here) that what I don't understand is this...if you don't like the new FREE version of Minecraft, you don't have to play it because you still have the old version. Its also funny how a lot of the same people moaning about minor issues in bedrock are the same ones who moaned about every update that came out for the old one. Every version of Minecraft and every update has caused issues or upset someone. Personally, I love bedrock. It has everything that the old version has plus infinite worlds (so I never need to start a new world for every update) and cross platform so I can now play with my friends on other systems. Best of all, we're getting shader mods. Anything missing from bedrock (and I can only think of flat world editing, allowing ten year old kids to make diamond worlds) will no doubt be added as time goes on. I think most of peoples complaints stem from impatience just because it isn't working as you would like it to yet. But I imagine all the issues will be addressed. Just give it time, and play the old version while you wait, if you feel the issues are so 'game breaking'.

But I do take exception to being accused of 'corporate allegiance'. It's nothing of the sort, I just like the game in its current form. It is, after all, what so many people have been requesting for a long time. Just give the company a bit of time to iron out the minor bugs. And please don't tell people to STFU, it really isn't necessary to be offensive to people.

posted a message on Never been so broken!

I'm sure they will. There are bound to be teething problems with a new release which is working across multiple platforms. I'm surprised there aren't more issues to be honest. I think the game is still very playable though, and any issues with lag (only speaking for myself) have been very minor. There seems to be a lot of over reaction to quite minor issues such as UI, but Minecraft always had issues and people grumbling after every update. I think people have quite short memories.

posted a message on Fix the UI

I don't mind the ui now, got used to it pretty quickly. Don't really see it as a reason to step backwards to the old console version. Just persevere and it becomes manageable

posted a message on Using Coordinates is not cheating

the "pc is better than console" argument is getting a little tired now Riverboat. My experience has been that pc is laggy and problematic though I would never say it was better or worse, just different. Its better in other ways. I never get why people feel the need to say this platform is better than that one. The OP was talking about map coordinates being a cheat. Try to stay on topic rather than trying to start a mudslinging contest about who's got the biggest processor

The removal of this feature has definitely made me more cautious. We were spoiled on console, now it really is hardcore!

Personally I don't see how coords makes any achievement easier to get. As ha been stated earlier, console has always had coords. I only ever really use them to check for y12 and maybe for arranging portals (don't recall any achievements for that) but I can live without them. in fact, if I'm honest, I am.getting used to it and enjoying the extra challenge. Infinite worlds are scary, nearly lost my base a few times already!

posted a message on The Better Together Update and Microsoft's impact on Minecraft is EVIL

just forget about it and play the game, I don't see why its bugging you so much. Another way to look at it...do you think they would continue updating and adding to the game if it WASN'T making money? Be thankful there are people out there willing to hand over cash for skin packs. It keeps the game in business. I cant think of any other game that's had update and support for this long. Can you name another?
