posted a message on Misa's Realistic Texture Pack (UPDATED 1JUL13)
Misa, I'll just say this right now. Your new wheat is beautiful. I love having long stretches of wheat fields on the outskirts of my towns, and it really looks amazing now. If I didn't give any feedback on it before, let me just say now that it is probably my favorite part of your pack, next to the incredibly humerous slime faces. Speaking of which, is there a creeper slime? Cause that'd be both awesome and scary. I don't see slimes very often so I'm sure I haven't seen all the varities.

As far as updates for the new snapshots... I don't care about the armor/zombie stuff, but I'd love to see what you do with the carrots and potatoes.

Edit: ah I knew I gave you feedback: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/69354-64x132-misas-realistic-texture-pack-updated-1aug2012/page__st__5660#entry17022376

posted a message on I get a lot of XP from mining coal, makes my Mob grinder useless
Getting exp from coal isn't a big deal. Getting exp from smelting is rediculous. After branch mining for several hours, I smelt all the stone for my castle I'm building. I've gotten up to about 700 exp level, and I've been enchanting aplenty!

OMG. We need NPC pickpockets... they take a random item out of your inventory, and if an iron golem sees it it yells STOP CRIMINAL SCUM!

posted a message on Ender chests --- Good, Bad, and Ugly
On single player, Ender Chests just function as Horadric Cubes: extra inventory storage, giving you more time before you have to go back to town (your storage area).

On random multiplayer, Ender Chests are useless. Random jerks will camp them and take whatever you put in.

On controlled multiplayer, Ender Chests allows two teams to work together, or they can function as mailboxes. Everyone has one in thier home, and agree not to take anything that wasn't 'mailed' to them ahead of time. Obviously only works on servers with your friends/people you trust.

posted a message on Trading...Sounds cool, but it's totally useless with the game's scale.
I'd love to be able to trade a stack of wheat for a stack of cobblestone. I prefer the sunshine to those dark and smelly caves. I wonder how much I can make off my melon patches?

posted a message on Piston drawbridges?
    Quote from 2Latee

If it's only 30 blocks it isn't much. 30 iron is easy to collect and doesn't take a lot of time ;)
You could always put them two blocks underwater, and place sand on top of them. Saying this only because first two posts thought it would be dispensable.

This is a better idea than walking on the pistons themselves.

For that cost, it should give you the star power from Super Mario Brothers - complete invulnerability for 10 seconds and anything you touch instantly dies.

posted a message on One thing that worries me about trading
I think that new ore is just a retexture of redstone, which will be renamed into ruby ore. Mining ruby ore would give you 1 ruby, which can be crafted into 4 ruby dust. Four ruby dust could be recrafted into one ruby.

What if they're changing 'redstone' into 'ruby'. You mine one ore and get one ruby (like diamond), and can craft one ruby into four 'ruby dust' to be used as a replacement to redstone, and can craft four 'ruby dust' back into 'ruby'.

posted a message on New prerelease bug?
When you're not online, single player creates an offline profile called Player. If you go in your saves folder, you can just make of copy of your character save (no longer part of level.dat) and rename the copy Player. Whenever you go on or offline, just copy the most recent one and rename it as the other.

posted a message on Snapshot 12w19a is Ready For Testing!
snapshot works fine for me, except for one bug: once in hardcore mode, when I logged in I respawned at spawn with no inventory, and everything I had on previously was gone forever. My guess is that the server created me as a second player, but the single player mode could only support one player.

posted a message on The larger biomes are awesome. (Latest Snapshot)
    Quote from Unit7

Anyone else noticing some slightly larger cavern areas with Larger Biomes? Eh... not really explaining myself. Heres an image of what I mean. The only time I have ever seen something close to this was in a mineshaft. I have also seen a large cave opening. Has it always been like this or is this in part due to Larger Biomes?

Almost passed this right by until I realized wandering aimlessly in Minecraft to try and find your home is a dumb idea. Silly me. So does Larger Biomes effect caves like this or have I just been really unlucky?

Caves and other underground structures are completely unaffected by increased biome size. My post in the last page showed I compared the same seed in normal and super biome modes, and the underground structures were mirror images of each other.
