posted a message on A bit of numpad functionality for inventory managment?

In the post of mine you quoted, that's literally what I was explaining was in the game that you demonstrated.

"The only thing that really works is pressing a number from the number bar whilst hovering over a crafting spot to put whatever is in your corresponding hotbar [slot] there."

However, I suggested this, as my post earlier says, to be able to put items in a specific spot on the crafting grid from any spot in my inventory, not being limited to the hotbar.

    Quote from DuhDerp»

I think this is actually already in-game, but it's limited to the hotbar (Etho regularly uses this.) Just hover over that slot in the hotbar and press the corresponding button (or shift-number, I forget which.) It won't go to any specific spot, but it will get the items moved to that part of the slottage. Could be that I'm misremembering and he's using it in his modded serieses, though.

Similarly, Hypnotizd uses shift-W and shift-S to move items between hotbar, inventory, and crafting grid (think it works with the crafting table too). Again, I could be misremembering and he's only using these in modded serieses.

I decided to check in-game, and for the most part, those shortcuts are modded-based. The only thing that really works is pressing a number from the number bar whilst hovering over a crafting spot to put whatever is in your corresponding hotbar there. I'm suggesting this for the ability to put anything from your inventory in specific slots on the crafting grid, not just something from your hotbar.

So overtime, Mojang have introduced quicker and better ways of managing inventory, making moving and storing items easier, like shift-click, double click, shift double-click, as well as number keys swapping between hotbar slots and such. But something that hasn't really been made easier is crafting tables... Which is why I suggest using the numpad to send whatever item or stack your mouse is hovering over to the associated slot on the crafting table, to make crafting ever so quicker, for instance, if you hover over a cobblestone stack, you can press "1" on the numpad to send it to the lower left slot, "2" for the lower middle, and "3" for the lower right, effectively quickly crafting cobblestone slabs. Well, that's about it. What do you think? Please leave your opinion down below.

posted a message on Monkeys- New Tames with a purpose!

I kind of agree with Badprenup, It'd be more useful for collecting any drops, like a walking hopper... Of course, no player drops. Maybe if you assign it to sit on a hopper, it'll empty it's items in it? Currently, the breaking leaves thing seems like a greifing strat, because someone could have like a garden and a greifer destroys it with a monkey... unless it only counts for natural spawned leaves, i.e. ones without the "decayable" tag?

The shape could be a tiny more organic and the leaves on the top could spread out a tiny bit more, but other than that, It's a pretty sweet build. Good job!

posted a message on What are your Key Bindings?

After seeing a recent tweet from Dinnerbone: https://twitter.com/Dinnerbone/status/839068128550211584

I was inspired to ask the community what variations they choose from the default keybinding, or what keys they use for specific functions.

For me, I just invert the sprint and sneak keys, so it feels more like a source engine game.

posted a message on Terraria V.S.Minecraft

I've always gone for quality, not quantity.
Which is why I refuse to play Terraria, and don't play MC all that much anymore...

Most people advertise Terraria for having a ton of items and stuff, but it's not the amount of items that makes Terraria great, but the care that went into each and every item, enemy and boss... each having it's own unique sprite, and most having a unique name, and quirks. Terraria is full of quality, it barley has any bugs like Minecraft does, though it has it's own bugs listed as "features"... I'm just saying Terraria was made with a lot of care, and every update is made with the same care. Please don't say you refuse to play it because it's about quantity or something...

Well, according to wikipedia: "It inhabits tropical forest, thorn forest, mangrove swamps and savanna" so I guess they SHOULD spawn in savannas, maybe swamps too.

posted a message on Noob needs Redstone help!

If it's on PS3, chances are the missiles your building are for PC only due to the mechanic known as quasi-connectivity which is an exclusive PC feature. (Or bug, if your that kind of person) It's where pistons are powered diagonally and through air blocks on occasion, as well as being unable to update instantly when powered in such a way. Basically, most flying machines use this mechanic to power the missiles. Due to PS3's different code, quasi-connectivity doesn't exist, rendering many, if not all flying machines useless in that version of the game.

I like this, I guess. Don't see any reason not to add, it'd be pretty cool for an artificial sky. But the way you describe it seems more like an X-ray block. also, TeamDomin8r, you get barriers via the command /give @p barrier
