1.12 has been released. Hurray! No need for this thread anymore, I presume?

posted a message on Emerald tools

Emeralds are not a tier resource. Why give Emeralds tools and armor? There are other ores without those things. Coal doesn't have them. Redstone doesn't have them. Lapis Lazuli doesn't have them. Why should Emerald? Each of these "item-less" ores have a specific function in aiding with survival. Coal is furnace fuel, and makes torches. Redstone is wiring, for farms and mechanisms. Lapis is blue dye, and also used to enchant things. Emerald is used to trade resources with villagers, and that's it. If you were to give Emerald tools and armor, you'd have to give Coal, Redstone & Lapis armor & tools too. It may not be OP, but it is completely unnecessary. Emerald is and always will be the currency, nothing more, nothing less.

    No Support.

P.S. Villagers aren't as rare as you think they are, and it's much easier to get emeralds out of them than out of extreme hills biomes

posted a message on Has the terrain gen been adjusted slightly?

To know for sure, you'd have to boot up the same seed in every version past 1.8, and tp to the same coords. Then you'd get a definitive answer...

posted a message on Can I rotate a structure 90 degrees using command blocks?
    Quote from doxi42»

Can you please show me an example of the command?

The commands mentioned in the post you quoted where /setblock, /fill, /clone.

There is no command or part of command in the vanilla game that rotates objects.

However, you *could* attempt to make a system that moves a horizontal/vertical segment with /clone into a "loading area", then move each block individually with /clone of the segment so it is rotated left or right, then move it back to the cube with /clone back from the loading area, now rotated.

It adds an unecessary mob, unecessary block, unecessary change to achievements...I don't really like this update, but i will never play it anyways, i got 1.7.10 and b1.7.3...

The only thing i like from this update, is surprisingly, the Terracota.

Nothing added to Minecraft is necessary. Redstone wasn't necessary. Cows, Sheep & such weren't necessary. Biomes weren't necessary. Minecraft itself isn't necessary. The parrots are really good mob detection, (Specifically Creeper) Illusioners are gonna add some more challenge to the Mansions. Concrete is a great flat color block, and Advancements are completely customizable, and people on reddit have found ways to abuse them to make Commandblock-less Commandblock mods.

That too, it's almost the same thing as the clone command

posted a message on Can I rotate a structure 90 degrees using command blocks?

There are no vanilla commands to rotate objects, you're gonna have to build each rotation individually, and use the clone command to seamlessly animate the cube...

posted a message on Can I rotate a structure 90 degrees using command blocks?

You can have each rotation (like a frame in an animation) built in a secret location and use the /clone command in command blocks to effectively create the illusion of rotation, as if it were a frame animation.

Wait a second! It's you! I've seen you before on the forums but didn't know it was you, until I knew you! lol

Oh, I just realized, that I've only seen you before on my Doritoite! pack forum thread...

Which you had requested, secretly being the "Spider Balloon" I credited for coming up with the idea...

    Well, my head hurts

I think he meant remove breeding chickens with seeds, and only throw eggs to have baby chickens, most likely due to the fact that chickens don't do live births.

posted a message on /keybind command

I think people are misunderstanding the suggestion.

What it seems like this suggestion is suggesting is a way to bind commands to a specific key, keys which are set in an options menu, so the command can be executed with the key.

    Example:

Player sets Keybind button 1 to NUMPAD1.

Mapmaker uses a command to apply [/time set day] to Keybind button 1.

Player presses NUMPAD1, and the command is executed.

That being said, I think it's a pretty neat feature, I don't know what all I'd use it for.

    Support?

posted a message on How new dimensions should be added

Actually, I think the overworld is 1, the end is 0 and the nether is 2, but other than that, I would say No Support to a new dimension, as of now, because the current ones need a bit more fleshing out before we stack more empty ones on top.

posted a message on Biome Chunk glitch

To fix it, you'll have to delete the chunk in your world file, so it can regenerate the chunk correctly. To prevent it from happening, make sure all your world folders are named different things, or you have enough space left in your hard drive.
