I've been playing this game recently to get my digging fix when i'm out and about. It has a really solid foundation and i can't wait to see what the updates bring. Check it out and show some love guys. It's a bit bare-bones for now but you can get it cheap at 99 cents before the updates start rolling out.
Giant pixel-art statue of your favorite skin to look down on your world filled with grand creations made by the sweat of your brow and blood from your trigger finger. Then all will know upon entering your world that this is truly your domain. Or... y'know... you could make a big flaming penis....
I think that there should be temples that are hard to find as in there's a trap door in a village or something and there would be booby traps that would either hurt you severely or even kill you if they're not moved through correctly or disarmed and the reward would be a few diamonds or something worth the time. Also they should add new ores I'm tired of the same old.
Thesekind of exist on PC, so it wouldn't be exclusive to Xbox, and the fan base seems pretty divided on whether their inclusion would be for better or worse. The only downside I could see involves limited map space and "clutter" from multiple overworld structures
I wouldn't blame them if they didn't, because it's not their job to respond to questions on the minecraft forum. To be fair though they seem to be bringing the fanbase what they want for the most part. They do a hell of a lot better at the player-studio relation then some studios these days *cough* bioware and gearbox *cough*
Speaking of cactus: I 've heard months ago a sentence like "creepers don't like cactus". Is there a connection between planting cactus and creepers staying away? Probably I misinterpreted something.
Creepers are stupid and will keep walking into a cactus until they die if your on the other side of it.
Can walls be made of cactus? I tried this pre-update in a desert world of mine, and it would only allow me to place cactus diagonally from eachother. I'm just wondering if it's possible to change it now. Right now the walls are an octagonal shape and the diagonals are cactus while the flush sides are sandstone.
Some people (like me) dislike "editting" their survival worlds in creative mode, and mining enough obsidian for multiple large structures is a really, REALLY lengthy process. Not to mention that you're going to use quite a few diamonds for pickaxes.
Most people using a lot of obsidian in builds do so by creating a 'mold' out of blocks and filling it with lava, you then pour water over and voila! Instant obsidian, no diamonds required just some buckets.
@OP, The only thing I could suggest is to fence in your roads and keep the roads well lit, the creepers won't blow up if they can't get at the people, you could just add gates along the fence (and maybe some kind of automatic opener/closers) to allow access to the buildings along it.
Yeah that's happened to me before the update. Ghasts can be a real pain in the ass, and killing them can be hard depending on how they are attacking you. The best thing I've found to do is to find somewhere to hide that forces the ghasts to get close to get LOS, then using a bow shoot them and their fireballs. When they're close they're pretty slow and easy to kill.
WAAYY too many ghasts spawning in the Nether... I'm not even gonna bother with it until TU8
I haven't been to the nether since the patch (Happy wars and borderlands is addicting @o@) but I've found in any large open areas in the nether I would have 4 or 5 ghasts chasing me after a while. They simply have a range of detection that is waaaaay (IMO) too far. so any ghasts you can see CAN see you and they will chase you.
I've found basically everything besides the nether fortress.
Code red mountain dew is delicious.
OT: I haven't found one yet either, I took a long break after we got 1.8 so I'm just gettin' back into the mining and the craftin' with the creepers, and the lava and the adkfleanoifnda
